So it’s only 10:30 and I feel like I’ve been in a frantic whirlwind all morning! I was about to leave for my early training appt, went outside, and no car in sight. I thought maybe I had parked it in the garage… I went into the garage to check and my car was not there. I panicked. My first thought was anger (as in how could someone do this to me??? I NEED my car!), second thought was confusion (wondering how anyone could steal a car in our complex since people are around 24/7 and everyone always knows what’s going on) and the third thought was to call my appt and tell her the bad news… and then call the cops. I called Anna to tell her I would be late or miss the appt, and she didn’t have her cell phone with her. I then called my husband who reminded me that i left my car at the gym last night. AGGGHHH! We went to get a couple of things at Wal-Mart after the gym, and never went back to get my car since we took the pilot’s!!!! So what was left to do? Run to the gym. At 7am this morning, I was sprinting alongside one of the busiest streets in Valdosta. I’m sure it was a lovely sight: holding onto my backpack with one hand, cell phone in the other, running my little heart out, to the gym. At least I did something for the environment, right??? And I’m happy to say I made it there prettty fast
So after that appointment (and calming down a little bit) I drove to the base gym to train a friend- one of the wives in the squadron. I always look forward to training her– she’s blunt (in a helpful way, not a mean way), hilarious, insanely smart and she looks incredible. I’ve only been training her for a couple of months and she has slimmed down (she didn’t need to lose very much weight at all) and toned up a significant amount. She always looked good, but now she looks unbelieveable. Her legs are especially gorgeous and I’m very proud and happy to have helped her make such a significant fitness gain!!!
In between training appointments I snacked on a cinammon raisin South Beach cereal bar (it tasts like a crunchy cinammon roll) and an apple. When I got home, I made the “meat” of my breakfast: a 2 egg white omelette with fat free cheese, drizzled with Texas Pete and some blueberries. I’m drinking Folger’s Gourmet Vanilla Biscotti coffee with a tbs of fat free half and half.
Today I’m going to work on cleaning up the house, getting a birthday present for my cousin, making entree #1 for Wednesday’s Mexican dinner party: Chipotle Tamale pie, and then going to spin class and doing my abs. It’s spin day and abs day! It’s like Christmas!!!! Just kidding….
Hope everyone has a fabulous Monday!
xoxo,
G
