Hello! Happy Humpday :D I’m so ready for the weekend to get here!!! I have a LOT of fun things planned— hurry up, weekend!

For lonchi yesterday, I took a Morningstar veggie patty and a baked sweet potato with goat cheese:

The teach I TA for is still sick, so during her classes I just had to “be available” for questions from the students. So in other words, I worked on my presentation for business law and read blogs :D

When I got home, I had 1/2 my last Pure Protein square:

And a sprouted hummus salad:

I took the puppies on a quick walk, webchatted with el piloto for 5 minutes before packing up to teach step then go to school.

Step went really well—I was trying to tone it down a little bit and not get so sweaty so I wouldn’t be nasty for my presentation. My plan failed and even though my outfit was totally fine, my hair and face were a hot mess. Small price to pay- step was a lot of fun and we got a 96 on our presentation –teach gives us our grades in the hall after we present. Yeahhhhhhhh :D

I ate this bar while driving to class:

When I got home, I was beyond exhausted and starving. As tempted as I was to just crawl into bed, I make a small snack:

”Baked” apple (sprayed with nonstick sprayed, covered in cinnamon and microwaved for 2 minutes)

004_thumb

1/2 serving of honey puffed wheat:

I woke up this morning to discover my almost empty container of oats

Instead of stovetop protein oats (which I was realllllly hankering for), I had a bowl of honey puffed wheat with 1/2 nanner and strawberries, an egg white, Morningstar soysage, and a cuppa Joe:

(I promise there’s cereal under all of the fruit!)

Since the cereal didn’t fill me up (standard), instead of re-filling it 2-3 more times (standard) I opted for a cucaracha:

I did a half hour of Namaste Yoga on FitTV (while the puppies jumped all over me), and am about to get ready for work, walk the dogs, teach spin, Zumba, then hopefully Indian with the girls :D After that, it’s time to fill up my dehydrator with a BOATLOAD of macaroons!!

Hope you all have a very happy Humpday!

xoxo,

Gina

I always have a hard time staying on the elliptical for longer than 10-15 minutes so maybe I will try this. I posted a link on my blog this morning that you would probably appreciate, Gina.

You can click a muscle and they give you examples of exercises for each. Some are basic, but others I had forgotten about… Let me know what you think.

Hey Gina, I had a quick question for you regarding breakfast.
I exercise first thing in the morning Mon-Fri. Typically I have a half of a banana w/pb and then eat breakfast later, but I’ve been wondering if on days my workouts are somewhat shorter, I can skip the pre-workout snack or if it’s bad for my metabolism. So, say maybe I wake up at 6:45, go on a 45 minute run, get ready for work and have breakfast by 8:45. So about two hours. On days I don’t wake up hungry and am out the door running right away, is this ok to do or is waiting two hours to eat breakfast harmful to my metabolism?

Hey Gina! i've been a silent reader for a while & I love your blog! i am constantly writing down workouts you recommend & take it to my gym for ellipticals & stairmaster.
I had a question– i notice you eat Indian food a lot. My family is pakistani & the food is very similar. I roughly count calories during the day (i know, you said it's not good to but i just do a rough estimate) but at night, when my mom has dinner prepared & it's a traditional pakistani dish, i have no idea of the caloric content. When you eat indian food, do you roughly estimate how many calories it'll be or just not take any notice at all?
Sorry for the winded question! Thanks!!!

hey everyone! thanks for the virtual high fives on the presentation :D i’m just glad it’s OVER!

leanne- thanks so much for that link- i’ll totally check it out

anon- honestly, i don’t really pay attention to my wednesday night indian meals, because i teach two aerobics classes before we go eat. when i eat indian on less active days, i definitely estimate the calories and don’t stuff my face quite as much as i do on wednesdays :D
i think if you want to get an idea of calories, google the name of the meal you’re eating and see if the calories come up. if you have access to HOMEMADE food that you say is similar to indian food –so i’m sure i would love it– i say don’t worry about it ;) thanks so much for reading!

Awesome job on the presentation! :-) I hate giving presentations with a passion (I would feel more comfortable if I was able to give them drunk)…such a relief when they’re over.

Random, but I did this elliptical workout yesterday and loved it. My upper body was really sore from a pilates session so this elliptical workout was perfect for building a sweat without irritating my sore muscles. Just thought I’d let you know :-) Would love to see more elliptical ideas!
