Hey everyone! Happy Sunday! Hope you’re all having a wonderful weekend
Orlando has been so much fun! I just realized that I’ve been out of town the past 5 weekends in a row. Guess I have to get out of Valdosta a little more often than I thought….
Here’s part 1 of the re-cap:
Friday night, we had an amazing dinner at Seasons 52. The first time I had Seasons was 2 years ago, when my aunt and cousins took me and the pilot. It’s still my #1 favorite restaurant
We started with the shrimp cocktail:
And for the entree, I chose the caramelized scallops with veggies instead of asparagus and pasta.
Even though we were stuffed, we had to have dessert since they’re the perfect shot sized tiny portion.
I got the carrot cake:
So delicious
Outside the restaurant:
Yesterday, Megan and I were workout machines and woke up early to take Israel’s spin class at the Y, followed by oven yoga. I had a WCMN Luna bar before spin, but after yoga we were totally ready for real b-fast.
Egg and salsa on a good grains bagel from Einstein’s and a OJ:
We spent the entire day shopping and it was beautiful. I picked up a TON of stuff from the Nike outlet and will definitely post a pic when we get back
For dinner, we went to the Lebanese restaurant Megan and I got take-out from last time we were here.
Megan, her pilot, my pilot and I were having a tough time deciding what to order, so we decided to have an appetizer dinner and split everything.
We ordered 14 appetizers (!) including tabbouleh, hummus, baba ganouj, eggplant salad, cucumber salad, falafel, grape leaves, fava bean dip, spinach pies, cheese rolls…
Here’s our table:
And my plate (which was re-filled a couple of times):
I also had a lovely glass of pinot noir:
It was an INCREDIBLE meal. Sharing everything was definitely the way to do it because we could get a taste of everything that sounded good. If you’re in the O-town area, hit up Cedar’s on a weekend. They have a Lebanese band and bellydancers, too
Since Season’s is right next door, we met my Auntie and cousin over there for some dessert after our meal.
I opted for the Key Lime Pie:
It was beautiful. I’m thinking I need to move here? Orlando has everything I could ever wish for—beautiful malls, delicious restaurants, a great Bikram studio, Whole Foods, amazing gym… I’m a happy girl
I got a few comments a while back about why I bash on Georgia so much. The thing is, I LOVE Georgia. It’s just Valdosta that I’m not a fan of. The mall is horrible, I teach the classes at the gym I like to take, we don’t have a yoga studio, or a Whole Foods, and buying groceries is EXPENSIVE. Thank goodness I have amazing friends, the pilot and Indian Food
What are the things you *need* to have where you live? For me, it’s a decent mall, a Whole Foods/TJs and a nice gym with a packed class schedule.
Well we’re off for a day on the boat!!
Enjoy your Sunday! See ya tomorrow with part 2
xoxo,
G

Your appetizers look amazing! Wow! Love the little desserts too.
Where I live, I need a gym with lots of spin and other classes and lots of restaurants that DELIVER!
Well it’s official, I need to try out this Season’s 52 place if I’m ever in Florida. It’s like my dream concept of a restaurant!
Woot! You all look fabbo and like you’re having a blast.
Must haves for me are decent grocery stores and a local butcher I can get nice things for my dogster. I don’t mind being in the country but I need to have driving access to good things!
Oh my gosh those meals look delish!
I’m so glad you posted how much you love Orlando, my boyfriend and I are hoping to move there next year. It’s a big change from NJ but I’m ready to head south where everything is so cheap and get away from snow and winter.
YESSSS!!!
thank you gina!!! i am going to go to the mall tonight like a bad girl and buy one!!! wahooooo!
great looking couple you are!!! I cant wait to eat sweets again, I miss me some CARROT CAKE!
You and your hubby make the CUTEST couple! Glad your having fun in Florida! I agree with you. I need a good mall, tj’s, whole foods and a great gym. What more could a girl want?????
I would LOOOOVE nice sunny weather all year round, or at least more often then 3 months out of the 12, living in seattle doesnt make it easy to get outside all the time. By the way: very cut shorts and shirt combo, i could never pull that off but you look amazing!!

Nice eats!!
I love Lebanese and Middle eastern food — so delish!
Looks ya’ll are having a blast. Super cute picture of you and your honey!
OH man can I identify with you!!!
Although I’m pretty sure my situation is more dire. I’m a Toronto girl who has lived in Paris, Quebec City, and the beautiful West Coast of Canada. All those places were fairly yuppy and with great access to restaurants and services.
I now live in the Canadian Rockies with my fiance (for work reasons) and oh boy is it different!!!!!!! There’s not a single sushi or ethnic restaurant to be had in this place. Unless you count your standard Chinese fare. There are also no stores where you can load up on ethnic goodies.
There are no yoga studios, no Whole Foods, and only two gyms in the entire city. The mall is very small and the stores are blech.
And recently I discovered that there isn’t a single cobbler in this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
O That means that all my heels need new lifts and I have nowhere to get them fixed. The closes cobbler is apparently a 4 hour drive away. Mind you if I were a horse or a cowboy I wouldn’t have this problem.
I could go on but you get the point! ;o)
Honestly, I have to agree with you. I need…everything a big city has ;0)
I tried living in a small town and only lasted a few months. I need a few million people to feel comfy.
thanks for the sweet compliments.. you guys are too nice to me
the outfit is from guess and they have it in black, white and red!
Beautiful spread!
