Hey guys!! How are ya?? Wanting some macaroons and a cookbook from what I can tell
Keep those entries for the Peta cookbook and macaroons comin’- you have until Friday morning.
I just received confirmation of a SUPER awesome giveaway that will begin on Friday- get excited, I promise it’s pretty sweet
Last night, before going to bed I made some goodies….
Raw hummus
I used my standard recipe:
-1 can of organic garbanzo beans (I used soaked dried ones for raw hummus)
-minced garlic (i use a lot)
-juice of 1 lemon
-hefty sprinkle of cumin
-sea salt and pepper
-dash of cayenne pepper
-fresh parsley
* mix all in food processor or vitamix and enjoy
Put some raw tortilla chips in the dehydrator, based off a recipe from one of my favorite guys.
Two trays full of gloriousness:
I also put bfast in the fridge (oats soaked in water) and made some exotic overnight oats this morning:
Overnight oats with almond butter, a mashed banana, 2 diced figs, 1 diced date, a handful of goji berries and chopped dragon berry. Ahhhhhmazing.
Such a fun (and filling!) way to start the day:
The dragon berry turned the oats hot pink!!!!
I love pink
The morning was nothing crazy- I walked the puppies and dropped shaggy Bella off at the groomers (who is now prancing around and flaunting her new haircut..she feels so pretty), cleaned the casa (it’s almost back to normal!) and went to work.
I packed a raw fiesta salad using mixed organic herbs and lettuce, cherry tomatoes, 1/2 orange bell pepper, crumbled raw tortilla chips and salsa on the side.
For snack, I packed some raw hummus, the BEST raw crackers I’ve had yet (from Tucson) and carrots:
When I got home, there was a package waiting for me!!
The lovely people at Pure Inventions were so kind to send me a sample of peach green tea extract to try.

Something to think: (I read this online today and it made me chuckle) “If you don’t focus on your booty, no one else will”

Love your Mexican lunch! Yum! That green tea stuff sounds good!
those extracts sound interesting!
I need to get some figs – they look so pretty!
Pure inventions sounds pretty cool – I wonder how the chocolate flavor would taste!
Great eats! I’m with everyone else- I need a dehydrator! I know I would make dried pineapple every single week
Those raw chips are right up my alley too! Glad you got the house cleaned and the puppers groomed! Have a good one
Hummus and raw crackers – could it get any better?! I’ve never heard of Pure Inventions before! Thanks for the review
LOVE the quote!! Haha!
I’m curious about those raw chips…
Sounds like a neat idea, I’ll have to check out their website. Your oats look wonderfully exotic!
Wow that green tea extract is some pretty cool stuff!!
YAY for an indian inspired dinner! I can’t wait to see it!
The green tea extracts seem pretty nifty. I would like to try them out.

I just talked about focus when we work out in my last post (or anything that we do).
Love that overnight oats, so pretty and I bet it’s delicious too!
I was going to try making raw tortilla chips this weekend!
My dehydrator is not a fancy excalibur, but I think it’ll do the job. I don’t like spicy food much, do you think the recipe from the book will be good without the peppers?
I love the booty quote. So cute.
Love all your recipes and cool ideas. one quick question: after you soak your oats overnight, do you cook them or just eat them as is? I love oatmeal but cooking it in the morning is a little time consuming!
The homemade raw tortillas look so good! I really want a dehydrator now!
Hi Gina:
I am a long time vistor of your blog. I remember a while back that you said you eat about 1100 calories a day, is this correct? Do you count your calories or use a calorie tracker? Your meals always seem like they would be more than 1100 calories. Thanks and great quote – thought for today!
Lil’ D
love the overnight hot pink oats!
excited bout the giveaway – as always =)
its so much cheaper (and healthier) to make hummus, I really need to get around to making it instead of buying the prepacked stuff, thanks for the inspiration
those pure products sound interesting!
lil d- no way, i eat much more than that- i have to because i’m so active
sami- nope, the oats “cook” in the fridge overnight. no need to cook in the morning
Gina,
Dehydrator envy is going on here in curlyland! I should try eating more raw foods. They are so delish and wonderful for you! Do you notice any differences in energy when you do more raw?
That “something to think about” cracks me up! There’s a trainer at my gym who has a bumper sticker that says, “Spandex is a privilege, not a right”. Lol!
Have a great night sweetie!
With Love,
Emily
ok thats it when I am ‘grown up’ with a real kitchen and a job that makes me money I am totaly getting a dehydrator (right after the kitchen aid stand mixer though!)
oh that extract sounds incredible! i guzzle so much water a day that i think that addition would make it just so much sweeter
That hummus looks amazingly good!
I was just telling the Mister that a dehydrator is the next thing on our list of things we ‘must’ buy! Everything you make looks so DELISH!
hope you are having a great day
Hi, this is Lynne and Lori, nutritionists from Pure Inventions – thanks so much for the great post on our products!
We’re excited to share our products with your followers
Your exotic oats are gorgeous, and you are making me want a dehydrator!! Those chips are the coolest!
Great recipes, thanks for the inspiration and wonderful pictures. I really love to make my hummus raw–sprouting the chickpeas for a couple of days gives them a wonderful nutty taste.
