Heyyyyyyyyy!!! TGIAF! This week has flown by and I have no prob with that
Any big plans this weekend??
So this morning, I overslept again since the pilot and I were up late finishing The Cell- what a bizarre and aesthetically crazy movie- so I made a superfast bfast before walking the puppers.
A piece of Ezek. with raw AB, 3 sliced figs and some goji berries:
It was super tasty and I loved the figs on there!!
The puppies and I went to the base trail for their walk. I walk them at least a half hour every day, no matter how busy I am. It’s done wonders for their behavior because they’re very mellow the rest of the day
Little sisters:
When we got home, the puppies crashed out and I hit up the gym to pump some iron
| Elliptical | Cross country 2, level 5, 30 minutes |
| Overhead dumbbell triceps extension | 15 lbs, 3 sets of 12 |
| Front to side lat raises | 5 lbs each, 3 sets of 12 |
| Straight bar tricep pressdown | 50 lbs, 3 sets of 12 |
| Cable upward row | 40 lbs, 3 sets of 12 |
| Bosu crunches | Body weight, 3 sets of 15 |
| Circle obliques | Body weight, 3 sets of 10 on each side |
| Total time: 55 minutes |
When I got home, I was starving, so I munched on some carrots outta the bag dipped into raw hummus while I made the best raw milkshake I’ve created so far.
-1 whole mango
-1 small frozen banana
-1/3 cup frozen Thai coconut meat
-1/2 cup almond milk
-palmful of soaked raw cashews
-5 drops vanilla liquid Stevia
-1 heaping tbs unsweetened coconut
Eating raw is easy when the food tastes AMAZING
I’ve received a few emails and some comments asking how I feel since I switched to eating raw until dinner two weeks ago. I figured I’d do a mini re-cap:
I feel invigorated, clean, light, energized and happy. Teaching has been easier and I have been drinking less caffeine because my energy levels are higher. Luckily, my complexion has never given me many problems but since I started incorporating more raw food into my diet last fall, it’s improved and has continued to improve in the past two weeks. I feel “lighter” even though I’m pretty sure my weight is the same– I don’t feel dragged down or get that icky bloated feeling during the day. Also, I don’t feel pressured to always eat raw.
Unlike almost every other eating plan, if you decide you want cooked food it doesn’t derail your efforts at all. So if I want something cooked (like in Tucson), I’ll go for it and not have to think twice. Eating raw is just something good you can do for your body. I don’t think I could ever be 100% raw (or want to be), but I will definitely continue to eat raw during the day.
Well I’m off to work, then teaching step and dinner with the girls.
See ya soon!!
Much love,
G$
I’m not big on labels, but what do you consider yourself as far as eating goes? Are you vegetarian? Vegan? Pescatarian? Quasitarian like me??
