Vinoyoga

A very Zen moment:

005

(I can’t get my leg to stay up in tree pose for the life of me!!! Megan is so pro)

Megan came over after she got off work and I traded her some Indian take out for some vino and dog food (we were out and her work is close to PetsMart).

We had De Fuego, which we first tried at Seasons 52 a while ago and LOVED. Surprisingly, we can find it in Valdosta!!!

003

We hung out and drank our vino –didn’t do any serious yoga, just goofed around:

007

Viesa was skeptical:

009

Wouldn’t it be awesome if vinoyoga really existed?!?! I would be ALL OVER THAT :D

This morning, I had to do a little improvisation for bfast since I’m out of bananas!

I made some plain oat bran with vanilla brown rice protein and 1/4 Honest Foods Almond square crumbled:

011

Joe, per usual:

013

And an incredible edible + 1 egg white:

012

Lots of hot sauce makes it “part of a complete bfast” :D

010

Well I’m off to get my first facial ever (I’m kinda nervous) and a beautiful massage. Then it’s off to work then teaching step!

I’m debating on signing up to do a full marathon in September. If I decide to go for it, anyone want to join me in Virginia Beach???

I’ll see ya after work!

Enjoy your day,

Gina

I love it! I’ve actually heard of yoga-wine events, but the wine is usually consumed after the yoga…. haha. I like your system much better!

Ooh is it the Rock and Roll Marathon? My dad runs that one every year! My mom and sister have been with him and they say it’s actually really fun! They have bands playing at all the stops! Go for it. Virginia Beach is a lot of fun, anyways. It’s worth the trip!

Wine + Yoga sounds super fun! After pilates, our instructor often reminds us to drink lots of water….or a little wine. :)

A full marathon – awesome! You are so hardcore and could definitely do the milage.

You and Megan should open a vinoya studio. :D

The yoga+wine combo looks like so much fun! I was actually looking to run a full marathon in September/October but I wasn’t sure where I wanted to run yet.. I’m not too far from VA Beach so it’s a definite possibility! Have a great Thursday!

vinoyoga – great idea!

I’ve been thinking about doing the rock’n'roll Half Marathon in VA beach! My parents live in Chesapeake, so it’s only like 30 minutes from their house.

Love the idea – cute photos! :) I find tree pose so hard too…looking straight ahead is the only thing that kinda saves me from toppling down.

Uhm you may have just come up with the best invention ever! I would totally get into yoga if it involved my fav organic red wine! Heck yeah! I hope you like the facial….I’ve never had one either and freak out when anyone touches my face. I’ve always wanted the whole spa experience, but just get nervous. Fill me in on how you liked it…….

veganissexy- i LOVED my facial. i just got a classic one with a honey almond exfoliating mask and was in heaven. i’m weird about my face, too so i’m thinking you would really like it.

I love your wine and yoga night with Megan. I would totally take a wine and yoga class.

I think the Rock and Roll Marathon in September is only a half. I looked it up on the website and couldn’t find the full marathon information if there is one. BUT I would DEFINITELY be down for running the half. I live only 1 hour away from va beach and I would love to do it.

my friend is running the Virginia Beach half marathon – she’s trying to talk me into it – its labor day weekend, I think….

I could be tempted if a few bloggers end up doing it – but I’d only be doing half – I’m so NOT a marathoner…….

Catie April 16, 2009 at 7:38 pm

hey Gina! I've run the rock & roll half marathon the past 2 years in VA Beach…it's a lot of fun:) I'd definitely consider doing the marathon, it just seems like so much more than the half haha!

Amy April 16, 2009 at 11:04 pm

Oh! I’m 80% sure I’m running the half marathon in Va Beach — I hear it’s lots of fun!!!

I’m running a full in the end of October, so I think I’m sticking to the half in Va. Beach, but whichever you run, you should have a blogger meetup! I’m a kinda new, not totally committed yet blogger, but I’d love to meet up!
