Hey guys! How are ya? Things are bueno over here
We bought our tickets to New York this morning!!! Who’s stoked?!? This girl, right here
Dinner last night was nothing crazy because I got home late from teaching Zumba and stopping by Jeni’s –she was so sweet and picked up some groceries for me.
I had spiralized zucchini for spaghetti, topped it with WFs eggplant marinara, a Quorn naked cutlet (which I love to pieces, fungus and all) and some fresh basil:
The pilot had some gnocchi with chicken and I also stuffed a SuperCharge Me cookie into my face before crashing out on the couch
This morning, I woke up to some nice and crispy raw eggplant bacon
I also had some soaked oat groats (1/3 cup) with a smashed banana and some raw AB:
With some Joe, it was a lovely little bfast:
I walked the puppies on the base trail, did some stuff around the casa and made a juice for snack
That red gem contained two carrots, 1 red bell pepper, 1 apple, a stalk of romaine and a beet. It was perfect
I looked through some cookbooks (trying to plan dinner for Friday night’s girls’ night) and also had some of the baba ganouj Megan made with the raw carrot curry chips I put in the dehydrator yesterday.
I’ve noticed that I’ve been a snack monster lately. I usually have small meals anyway, but for the past few days all I’ve wanted it snacks! With the hotter weather, I like tiny meals better because a super full stomach does not bode well with the blazing sun. Are you the same way???
I just did day 2 of Week 2 of the Shape Up with Jeni at the gym and my arms are going to be niiiiiice and sore tomorrow
For those of you doing the Google Doc, I added a Week 2 tab at the bottom of the spreadsheet—just click on that to track your points for the second week.
I’m off to train my group at the gym, then teaching spin and going to our wives’ coffee.
See ya soon!
xoxo,
G
Congrats to the Summer Shape Up girls who got all 3 points for yesterday: Alisson, Amisha, Brenna D., Danielle, Elizabeth D., Frannie M., Heather K., Karyn R., Katie S., Kendra T., Lauren, Leslie E., Lissi, Lizzie A., Meghan D., Meghan N., Piera, Sara D., Stephanie F., Melissa, Margaret C., Clara L., Megan R., Aisha I., Menden, Erika L., Amanda Will., Kelly E. and Kelly M.!!
YEAHHHHH!
Megan is finally going to start her blog! We’re having trouble thinking of a name though! She is a high raw girl with awesome recipes and nutritional advice… Please help us think of a name! Not to bribe or anything (I would never!) but we’ll send you some raw vegan treats (macaroons included) if we pick your suggestion

Oh! and a Raw pun, of course.
“But wait! There’s Raw!’
or
“All that, and Raw!”
i will not even lie– i sat here and stared at that picture of eggplant bacon for a good 60 seconds. i cant be controlled!! haha. yumyumyum.
yay for megan (what a cool name she has) getting a blog!! i wish i could think of a name, but i cant. i have moosh for brains.
ooo choosing a domain/blog name is so tough! i like ideas incorporating “raw” in some way (like rawesome etc) but that might be difficult for readers to remember how to spell…and ultimately you want to make it as easy peasy for your readers as possible, right?
here are some of my ideas:
NotNuked
FoodUncovered
AuNaturelEats
UncookedCuisine
RawBQ
how about…letsGLOWraw? or GLOWraw? You know like go raw but glow? Can you tell I really want Macaroons
?
For the blog, what about:
Rah rah raw
Ok so I have a few suggestions
-Healthy DivRAW (like diva!)
-Livin’ loud and live (focusing on LIVE food, vs. just the raw element)
-RAWkin’ good time
-Che sara saRAW (like the song!)
-The Live Hive (as a place to come and congregate on LIVE issues!)
Wow, I just caught up on your last two posts and I am SO EXCITED for you! Woohoo NYC!!! I am just like you and have always felt that I’ll live there some day, but have never even visited. I can’t wait to see how you live it up!
Man oh man, why do I not have a dehydrator? I’d be all over that eggplant bacon and the carrot curry cracker chips and macaroons…another someday
I am very much like you in that I do not like to be super full in hot, sunny weather. It just feels icky. I’ve always preferred to just snack my way through a day, though.
I hope your week is going well! Happy humpday!
Gina,
I am so excited for your New York trip – you are going to love NYC. I just know it. Plus, how exciting you might got to meet Gena and other NYC bloggers – I’m completely jealous!
Tell Megan it’s about time she started her blog! Hmm, as far as a name goes, how about Megan Makes Amazing Raw Ice-Cream for Gina?
You always remind me that I need to make more of that raw bacon. It’s so good. Oh, and I won the spiralizer on Gena’s blog. Beyond excited!
Hope you have a good day, and I would totally eat curried shoes as well.
Hmmm…I’m just thinking out loud here for blog names..
Ready to Rawk
Ready 2 B Raw
Rawk Your Diet
Yeah I don’t know, I tried!
Everything looks yummy…but I am going to have to try the raw eggplant bacon. Yummo!
I am beyond excited to see you, my dear! And good for Megan. I had a terrible time choosing my own name, so I’m not sure what to tell you, but there are lots of great suggestions here!
Livin la vida raw..
How about “The Coconut Ninja” ? hehe!
How exciting that Megan is starting a blog, too!
I'm really bad at this but what about…
living foods
Standard Raw Diet
organic&raw
can i have it uncooked
ill have it uncooked
medium raw
pure foods / raw foods
sorry none of these are that creative
“rawesome”
eh? eh? i laughed anyway, I can’t wait to read it!!!
I do like the coconut ninja that someone else suggested, but I have to like mine better because I WANT MACAROONS THAT I DIDN’T HAVE TO MAKE.
My suggestion is Mlog-Megan’s Blog combined
