Welcome to my office

Hey everyone! Happy almost-Friday :D

I thought it would be fun to give ya’ll a little tour of my office…

bizzle

Yes, my table and chairs look remarkably like the ones at Bizzle ;)

I’ve spent the last two hours cranking away on some work here, with a lovely green ginger tea. It feels SO GOOD to get out of the casa and be productive.. being home distracts me sometimes because there are a million other things to do there. To be honest, I’m not in love with our Bizzle (it’s kind of off the freeway which is a little shady to me), but to my delight it’s been a great place to get my productivity on this morning. I might be coming here a little more often :D

I started the day with a face-rocking bowl of protein chia pudding

chia pudding

Today’s mix had almond milk, Sun Warrior vanilla protein, cinnamon, Stevia, chia seeds, banana, almond butter, more cinnamon :D

Ahhhhmazing :)

I dropped Bella off at the groomers this morning –so her hair will look pretty for the puppies’ Santa pic this weekend- and am about to make a stop at Goodwill (come on, Ugly Christmas sweaters!) before picking her up. My stomach’s growling for some lunch, too ;)

The plan for the rest of the day:

-Lunch

-Yoga

-Eye doc appt

-Run (hopefully my Garmin will finally get here this afternoon! Apparently free shipping from Amazon = dinosaur shipping, haha)

-Making calzones for dinner and (hopefully) some raw sugar cookies!

Have a wonderful day!

xoxo,

Gina

Something to do: Don’t forget to enter the Juice Beauty giveaway if you haven’t done so already- winner will be announced tomorrow AM!

What’s your favorite holiday song? I love “Santa Baby” and “Carol of the Bells” :D

I love doing work from Bizzle! I love their tazo teas.

How thick does the chia pudding you make get? I just bought some chia seeds and I am curious about the pudding… is it really thick like home made pudding, or more just creamy?

Thanks!!

Those are my favorite Christmas songs, too! I also like “Baby it’s cold outside” :)

Just a quick question-what are your thoughts on fasting? I’m considering doing one for a day but I don’t know much about it. Would you/have you ever done one? Would you just stick to tea and water all day or have other liquids? And would you exercise? (I’m not sure I’d have the energy, haha)

Have a great day!<3

Even though i’m jewish I LOVE LOVE Christmas songs.
I like “Silent Night”, “I’ll be Home for Christmas” and every song they play in the movie Love Actually :)

Our SB is so minuscule I’d be claustrophobic trying to work there. I have been blaring Christmas music since the day after Thanksgiving. I love it all.

I never opt for free shipping from Amazon. I’m WAY too impatient for that.

My favorite christmas song is always: Paul McCartney “Wonderful Christmastime” – great song! You will love your Garmin (when it gets in :) – I use mine almost everytime whenever I am running! Have a great day!

Since I didn’t win the Chia seeds giveaway..I guess I have to go buy my own-)
You go a sista going broke here in MI..I buy everything you eat. Have a great day!!

I love the ‘office’. Have you ever gotten there and had somebody occupying your desk?

I can’t wait to see the calzones. They are one of my favorite things, but I haven’t had one in ages!

I was just at your Starbucks on Monday. I was driving home to Americus from Orlando praying for a Starbucks at each exit. Little did I know that I would be practically home before I came across one. At that point it was the most beautiful ‘bucks I had ever seen. I love you Valdosta Starbucks!

I’m going to an ugly sweater Christmas party on the 19th. I’m gonna have to get on that. :)

Ahhh Starbucks! I miss hanging out in a cozy coffee shop to write and do research. As a woman here in Saudi I can’t really go into any of the coffee shops, and in Bahrain, where I can go in, I don’t want to because they are so smoky I wheeze and cough the second I step inside. So, coffee shops are yet ANOTHER thing to look forward to when we move to the US.

I want to go to an Ugly xmas sweater party! That sounds like a blast!

Alas, there are just so many people “on the payroll” at my local “offices” that I tend to avoid them altogether! Such a shame since their chai is pretty delicious.

I have a major soft spot for Ave Maria and O Come All Ye Faithful where xmas music is concerned. I’m not especially religious (though raised Christian) but some of those traditional hymns are enough to make me misty, haha…

As much as I hate admitting it, I love some “All I Want for Christmas” by Mariah Carey. Shhhhh don’t tell anyone.

Oh, I like the chipmunks song and the silliest “I want a hippopotamus for Christmas” song.

So I’m not a MC fan- but I love, love, love Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas is You song. It gets me dancing no matter where I’m at!

(I love how Jordan is equally as embarrassed to like an MC song- ha)

“O Holy Night” especially done by Josh Groban or…*NSYNC (yea, I said it)! I just ordered some chia seeds yesterday! Hope the shipping isn’t “dinosaur-like” because I want some pudding!

I like the songs you named, but I also love “O Holy Night” and “It Came Upon a Midnight Clear”. I think it’s just because of an old memory from Church, on Christmas even when my music teacher would sing O Holy Night from the back of the church, in candlelight. It just sends shivers down my spine even if I am not religious today.

Carol of the Bells is SO fun to sing! My a capella group used to perform that each holiday.

I also wanted to tell you I had my first “Green sludge” today and it was fabu! I was a bit scared, but threw a handful of spinach in with some banana and strawberries, almond milk, protein, cocoa powder and stevia. Mmm mm mm! Even the boyfriend tried a sip (he hates smoothies) and he loved it. :D

Thanks for being such an inspiration Gina!

Remember that you can always uglify a sweater with some glued on ornaments. Our party last weekend, my friend glued a bird to her shoulder, and wreathes and ornaments to her sweater front… Instant ugly sweater!

I love Silver Bells and everything on Amy Grant’s newer Christmas album (and for that matter on her older ones too!). Also enjoy the Diana Krall Christmas album and adore the way SheDaisy updated a bunch of classics on their album.

I saw some women’s ugly Christmas sweaters at Target here in good ol Nebraska. Maybe check their website? I don’t remember how soon you need them.
The best Christmas song ever is Sleigh Ride by Boston Pops :D

Carol of the Bells is my favourite of all time.

I have to admit, and this isn’t usually in my taste, but NSync’s ‘Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays’ is the most happy, Christmas-high inducing song ever. I seriously love it. Lame, but true.

Favourite Christmas song? I’d have to say The Gift by Aselin Debison. Very few people have ever heard of it, but Aselin has a beautiful voice and released that record when she was only about eleven or twelve. It’s such a sweet song.
And of course, the classics. “Chestnuuuts roasting on an oopeen fiiiree…”
