Lovely Day for a Tea Giveaway

Hellooooooo :D How are ya?? I’m so glad ya’ll are liking the Winter Shape Up workouts! Keep up the amazing work and update me with how you’re doing! I’ve already heard some awesome feedback from this week’s workout. Check it out, yo ;)

Today has been a chocolatey day.

It all started with this beast:

bfast cookie

An ooey, gooey chocolate bfast cookie.

-1/2 cup multigrain oats

-1 smashed banana

-almond milk

-raw cacao powder

-1 T almond butter

-1/2 scoop vanilla Sun Warrior

-drizzle of the agave cacao syrup Katie sent me

I am a hardcore chocolate lover, and this was almost a little too much sweet for breakfast.

You never would have guessed from my mid-morning snack:

bar

Bahah. More chocolate ;)

Guess lots of veggies are in my lunch future.

I also had a shot of “C”:

emergen c

(Tip: when you use less water, it tastes WAY better)

And LOTS of tea.

tea

(Thank you again to Celestial Seasonings for the sample!)

Whatever this weird ick is, I’m still fighting it :)

I spent the morning cleaning the casa then took these little monkeys to the vet.

dogs

Viesa had to get her bordatella, and Bella cowered in the corner the whole time even though she didn’t need to get anything today. They both got ice cream afterwards, though ;)

I’m about to take them for a walk, then meeting Jeni at the gym.

I told you guys that this week I’d let you know about the craziness that’s going on in my life (it’s all good stuff) so I thought I’d start with a little hint.

I’ll be wearing these again:

shoes

;)

Have a wonderful day and I’ll see you soon!

xoxo,

Gina

i’d love to try the sleepytime tea! i’m a busy graduate student, and even though i have no problem falling asleep, i wake up frequently in the middle of the night and have trouble getting back to sleep.

Could not comment on the Tea Giveaway, so here is goes.

Tea is very warming and comforting to me. I have become addicted to drinking tea daily and trying all different varieties. I use them for relaxtion and well as medicinal purposes. Currently I am fighting alot of anxiety issues, which cause stomach issues. I need tea to help me through this phase of life.

I would love to win! I am a huge fan of tea. I have about 3 cups a day. For my symptoms, I would say the biggest are sleeplessness and being healthy and wanting to stay that way. I have been a terrible sleeper since as long as I can remember. A nice soothing tea to remedy that would be awesome! I never get more than four hours of sleep at night. I also would love an immunity booster for the times when I feel it coming on and want to try everything to stop it in its tracks.

My boyfriend is also a huge tea lover and if I win, I’ll share some with him!

Hello! I have severe asthma (exercise induced as well) so, since i work out a ton, i naturally always have a hard time breathing deep. is there any tea that can help? i hear that thyme helps, but is there any tea that can help as well? THANK YOU!!!

I was wondering what your thoughts were on Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey Protein Powder. I bought some yesterday in order to help me gain more weight, but arent too informed on whey protein powders.
I typically workout most days of the week (both cardio and STing), should I take it on days that I dont work out as well in order to gain weight since that is my main goal?
And is it ok to take more than once a day if I’m not a serious athlete or muscle builder?

Hi I was wondering if you could help me. My manager has been told that she needs to take extra calcium. She was given a prescription that comes with a ton of side effects which she did happen to experience after tying it for 2.5 months. I was wondering if you could recommend something organic and/or something she should incoropate into her diet. FYI, I love the breakfast cookie, I now have kicked it up with flax seed powder, chia powder and goji berries. Very tasty and I am so amazed how full I am after I have it. I love your blog and get such inspiration from it.

hey cheryl,
greens are an excellent source of calicium (like kale and chard). just make sure to have a little bit of healthy fat with it so your body can absorb the nutrients

I am just getting over the worst cold that I have had all year. It started in my chest, moved into a sore throat, then turned into a cough/stuffy head. I still have a lingering cough. I need to boost my energy as I try to train for a marathon. I am also trying to kick my nighttime sweet tooth with tea. So, I would LOVE to win the tea giveaway. I’m into peppermint, mandarin orange spice, and sleepytime teas. I’ve never tried their ginseng teas, but they sound great. FYI: I love Celestial Seasonings. I used to live out in Colorado and even went to their factory for a tour:)

My symptoms are over indulging! although I have been indulging the healthy “fitnessista” way, thanks to all I`ve learned from you and your blog I can now indulge more often! your blog is a great inspiration to stay healthy and the reason why I`ve started to incorporate more raw foods and meals to my diet!

I WOULD LOVE SOME OF THAT TEA!!

Sorry you still are not feeling well. Any chance you might be preggo?? Just a thought. I am VERY experienced in this area – 4 kids, 6 pregnancies. If you aren’t sure, don’t discount it.

Good luck!

Lauren February 8, 2010 at 4:18 pm

Hi there! Not sure if this counts as “sick” but I’ve always had some issues with getting my body to relax and sleep when I want it too and some major side effects of that are my constant headaches (often from caffeine withdrawls to supplement my lack of sleep) and I’m constantly struggling with my immune system. No matter how much exercise I get or how healthy the food I eat, it all seems to revolve around my sleep issues. I’ve really heard great things about this company and I’d love to try their natural approach. ESPECIALLY because I start my new job on friday working the AM shift (6am-2pm) at a local children’s shelter and I REALLY want to be on my “A” game for them. Contest or no contest I will certainly be giving “Celestial” a try!

Thanks for the tip! :-)
