Crazy Bag Lady

Hey guys! How’s your morning going?? Ours is bueno- we just got to our gate at the ATL airport :) We fly to Miami and then the BAHAMAS!

I’m walking around like a crazy bag lady :D

bags

We checked all of the roll-y bags, but I still have two purses and a yoga mat ;)

Now we’re chilling at the gate, the pilot munched a parfait and OJ, and I have all of the makings of a perfect breakfast

bfast

Oats, bananner, Vega protein, Refresh tea

I picked up the protein powder at Whole Paycheck (I say that lovingly) when we got into Hotlanta last night

whole foods

Whilst browsing the protein, I saw the Vega and grabbed some packs. A girl who was shopping asked me if it was any good and of course I had to rave about it (she probably was taken aback by my protein enthusiasm). She bought a big container, though :)

We went to the pilot’s dadoo and stepmom’s casa, and then all went out for hibachi.

Standard miso soup:

soup

House salata:

salad

Veg:

veg

Ze little shrimp:

shrimp

Fortune:

fortune

Not too shabby ;)

Well I’m about to eat my bfast and start Julie & Julia. I LOVED the movie, and am hoping the book will be just as good. I brought Twilight for the pilot to see if he wants to get sucked into it read it, but apparently he doesn’t want a punch in his man card ;)

See ya SOMEWHERE TROPICAL!!!!

xoxo

Gina

Ten bucks says you catch him furtively reading Twilight when you aren]t looking. That crap is addictive!

So crazy, I have that SAME fortune taped onto my computer screen! I think I have had it there for about three years. LOL!

Have a great trip!! Thank you again for your help yesterday. :)

I love Whole Foods. So does my boyfriend… except he doesn’t like that we have spent over $80 the last three times we went there! Whole Paycheck it is.

OH and I am a crazy bag lady too… “packing light” is not in my vocabulary ;)

Have FUN on your vacation!!!

I don’t know —you tell the pilot there are big vampire fight scenes, and he may break down. My husband is a huge fan of all of the books but the last one (no fights :) ). The movies? Not so much. Don’t tell him I told you though….

Tracey @ I'm Not Superhuman May 11, 2010 at 10:27 am

Yes, Whole Paycheck indeed. It’s unavoidable. I couldn’t even get my husband to watch Twilight the movie, so I’m not surprised the pilot turned his nose up at the book. I’ll admit it’s very girly. :)

Mmm I love hibachi!! There is a place here that has amazing hibachi and it’s FREE on your birthday.
I fought the Twilight hype for so long and I finally broke down last summer and read the books. Officially obsessed now. I haven’t read Julie & Julia or seen the movie, but I’ve heard great things about both! :)
Have a good flight!! Can’t wait to see pictures from the Bahamas!! Aaa you’re so lucky!

Let us know how you like Julie and Julia–I loved the movie but would be curious to hear a book review. I read Freakonomics a couple years back though and remember enjoying it. Buen viaje!

LOVE striking up conversations at supermarkets about different products!! Always puts a huge smile on my face.

Gina, don’t let the book disappoint you. I read reviews on Amazon that kept me from buying it. Apparently the original author is nothing like “Julie” from the movie in that she uses a lot of profanity and is I think this is one of the situations where the movie is going to be a lot better than the movie. You should read “My Life in France”. I think you would enjoy that a lot.
Hsve a great trip!

I would also recommend reading the Julia Child bio ‘my life in France’ the movie Julia and Julie was actually based on that book too, and both books were WAY better than the movie! Enjoy your vaca!

I wish I could run into you at a Whole Foods. I love it when people get excited about food. Primarily because I ALWAYS get excited about food, especially the food in Whole Paycheck! It’s nice to know there are kindred souls out there, just waiting to proclaim their joy about food to random people in grocery stores.

Haha! I also have this fortune taped to my laptop. It reminds me to keep on chuggin’ till I find a new job. Have tons of fun in the islands!

Oh yeah, I read Julie and Julia and…it was a little different from the movie. Lots of language and sex, and a little depressing, honestly.
But still funny, and I finished it because I was determined to. Just a good “elliptical read”.

Get this . . . taped to the top of my computer monitor at work is a fortune I pulled out of a fortune cookie probably 3 years ago – and it says, “Your hard work will soon pay off.” I was working almost 70 hours a week, so I needed something to keep me going! So glad you had a safe trip as you are already in paradise. Have fun!
