Moody Server, Sparkly Casa

Hey guys 😀

bella

Sorry the blog decided to disappear today! Apparently the server and the blog are having a little drama, but they’ve got it resolved for now 😉

This afternoon, I made the pilot some lunch… and he made me LAZY 😀 I had so much to do, but when he’s home, I just want to hang out with him!

I did get some cheesy kale chips in the dehydrator:

And proceeded to eat about half of them throughout the course of the day 😉 They’re so good when they’re warm!

More random eats:

Smoothie

-Almond milk

-Raw cacao powder

I was pretty stoked because when I got home from work, I saw a sparkling kitchen– the pilot did all of the dishes and cleaned up around here.

Lurve.

Here’s how we split up the chores in our casa:

Me: Bedrooms, my laundry (I won’t touch his stinky man laundry), cooking, grocery shopping

Pilot: His laundry, trash, dishes, yard/handyman stuff, floors (he Swiffers and vacuums…and I love him, haha)

How do you split up the duties in your casa?

The pilot says he will donate his chores to our future children. He’s a generous guy like that 😉

I’m off to make some dinner and read The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

See ya in the morning <3

xoxo,

Gina

Thanks for the link to the NPR article, Gina. That’s exactly why I want to get involved in the nutrition field. Poignant stuff!

WOW your kitchen is to die for….. I’m so jealous! 🙂

I cook most days, do dishes everyday, feed and cleanup after the cats, wash floors, and generally pick up stuff. He vacuums, gets the mail, and looks after the plants (he gets way more excited than I do).

    Thanks for the links!

Our breakdown is pretty similar to yours- whoever cooks, the other does dishes, and we do our own btw meal dishes. I cook 98% of the time, so he is the main dishman. We each do our own laundry, and I usually do our towels and he usually does our blankets and sheets.

He vacuums and mops- he’s the floor guy for the whole apt. He’s also the duster and window-sill wiper. I deep-clean the bathroom and kitchen, which I chose mainly because I am a germaphobe and have to make sure everything in those rooms are really, really clean.

Aww, that was sweet of the Pilot to get all that cleaning done!

I live with roommates, so we do our own laundry, dishes, etc. And somehow I end up cleaning up their messes in the kitchen most of the time. Grr. 😛

We split up our chores similarly – I do the kitchen cleaning & food shopping & cooking, and he does the dishes and cleans the floors. The rest of the chores (cleaning bathrooms, etc) get split up right before we have company over. We’re bad 🙂

Ha! I wish my hubby would help clean more. I do the bedrooms, dishes, laundry, majority of the cooking (although he will chip in sometimes), bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping…you can see where I’m going with this.

I’m SLOWLY trying to get him into the routine of whoever cooks, the other cleans the kitchen… *sigh* 🙂
