Just the Essentials

Heyyyyy :D How are ya? Hope your day has been bueno.

I have been a packing MACHINE today! It’s hard to consolidate when you have a lot of stuff, but I promised myself that I’d only bring the essentials. There’s no reason to junk up my aunt’s house with all of my stuff ;)

The essential cookbooks:

cookbooks

105degree kitchen manual with all the recipes, Delicious Disney (love this one for entertaining), SBITK, ED&BV, Raw food, Fast food, Everyday Raw Desserts, Ani’s Raw Food Essentials, Babycakes and Living Raw Food

I’ll have access to AMAZING ingredients so some hardcore cooking and uncooking will be going down this fall :)

The juicer and stand mixer:

juicer

+ the dehydrator

(The Vita is coming with me when I go down to Orlando in a few weeks- I can’t live without it for that long)

Clothes + my weekend stuff in the Core bag

clothes

A stuffed brown suitcase (with all of my ‘”hang up” clothes + shoes)

clothes (2)

Crrraaazzyy.

Snackage:

fruit

half an organic peach leftover from yesterday and melon

Lonchi:

burger salad

Leftover brown rice and chickpea burger I found in the freezer, atop a salad

Smoothie:

smoothie

-Orange juice + strawberry juice

-Banana

-Spirulina

-Ice

-SUN WARRIOR

It came today! :)

sun warrior

Hello, lover.

I ordered some when we ran the Sun Warrior promo last week and life has been so much better since the protein drought is over.

It just makes me walk around with a big goofy smile on my face ;)

goofer

Haha.

The meeting with the boss man went well today. I’m very fortunate that the Pilot has a commander that really cares about his guys and where they end up. He gave us about three/four potential places we will be PCSing to- and they all meet the Gina standards of Whole Foods, nice mall and a yoga studio. I’m really excited :D

No time for a workout today but maybe I’ll participate when I teach bootcamp right now ;) Usually I just yell and watch ‘em sweat.

Off to teach, coming home to get the Pilot and Bella, and then hitting the road!

See ya tomorrow <3

xoxo,

Gina

Upcoming:

-Boot camp workout

-Fashion Friday!

That juicer is just massive! Someday I won’t have a teensy apartment kitchen. I’m pretty sure a KitchenAid would take up the whole counter.

Just tried Sun Warrior for the first time yesterday, yum!

Laury @ thefitnessdish September 2, 2010 at 6:02 pm

I ususally like to watch em’ sweat too…and they seem to slack off when I participate and don’t watch!

Glad to hear that they areas met your standards!!

Oye, when we move..I gotta WHOLE lotta books to lug around…yikes!!!

Sorry but DUH you’re bringing the Vita!! I mean, you brought it on vacation with you :) No way would anyone expect you to go to Orlando without it! That thing is precious.

hahaha. i didn’t want someone to be like “why aren’t you bringing the vita mix??”
it’s because i sleep with it every night.. obviously. haha

I think even though it’s rough packing up your life and everything you know, that it is pretty exciting to move from place to place and see more of the world!

How do you like your Jack lelaine juicer? I am in the market for one and heard it’s pretty good.

Reply

Jenna September 2, 2010 at 11:46 pm

I have Boku & I personally love it. It’s all natural, only a few ingredients, 126 calories per scoop & 24g protein. Definitely worth the $50.

Those would be my standards too, Whole foods is for sure number one! I love how you brought your cookbooks and cooking gadgets. I was upset that I had to leave my panini press and crockpot behind when I left for school. They will be getting a lot of love when i’m home this weekend :)
