stays together ;)

seaweed

(We just finished that lovely pack of seaweed snacks while I made dinner)

Hi friends :D How was your day? Was it crazyhectic as well? We got a LOT done today, but it feels so good to stop for a second.

Or curl up in a pair of the Pilot’s shorts, if your name is Bella.

bella

She is so weird, haha.

Today was pretty casual since we were all over the place, but I did wear a fun accessory:

necklace

Of course, one of my faves would be a $4 special from Forever 21. Please don’t tell the guy who buys me fancy necklaces ;)

Lunch:

lunch

When I was in middle school, my mom used to make awesome bagel sandwiches for my packed lunch :D Today, I was totally hankering for a bagel sandwich and was so excited that we found these Udi’s gluten-free bagels at Sunflower Market. Ever since I went mostly gluten-free –I’m sensitive to gluten, but not totally intolerant- I’ve really missed bagels. Not anymore!! These Udi’s ones are super soft and chewy… exactly like the real thing and decent nutritional stats, too.

I topped each bagel half with Veganaise, Dijon mustard, romaine and organic turkey that the Pilot warmed up in a skillet for me :) + organic green grapes

After errands, we stopped by the base gym so the Pilot could do weights and I walked around the indoor track with an US Weekly. I took it easy since I have Zumba tonight, but wanted to keep him company.

(not sure what I’m looking at, but my eyes look a little cray cray)

We’re back at the casa and I actually cooked dinner! I’m getting back in the swing of things over here.

Beet burgers and sweet potato fries are in the oven :)

I’m off to Zumba, so I’ll see you in the morning.

Have a great night <3

Ahh it’s been a while since I’ve had a good homemade beef burger with sweet potato fries! Well, luckily I’m going home to my family in a week for the first time in six months so I can look forward to such mama-made delights :)
Love the necklace! I collect Russian dolls!

Ha, my cats also curl up on my boyfriend’s shorts! They also love sleeping on our shoes–they are a little weird.

And I love the necklace–I wonder if they still have it at Forever 21?

Mmmm, your sandwich looks really yummy :) I love Udi’s brand of bread- the moistest I’ve found as far as GF bread….. and not bad on the ingredients, either!
I still need to make those carrot- beet burgers; they looks so good!

I love Vegenaise and eat it..well..daily :) and mustard too!

Have heard awesome things about Udi’s, too. Must try!

And I think you and pilot look adorable in that pic! Your shorts are super cute, love the color. And the necklace “splurge”…love things like that. They make my day happy for little finds like that.

Enjoy your nite and your din-din. Looks delish!

Okay, I have never tried seaweed snacks or beet burgers, but I may trust you enough to go for it!

And the necklace…adorable! I definitely favor all things cheap over my expensive jewelry because A) I will never break/lose it and B) They’re just so darn cute!!

So I have a completely random fashion question inspired by your adorable Russian Doll necklace….Is your wedding band gold or white gold/platinum, and if it’s the latter, do you have issues with mixing the yellow and white colored metals?
My engagement ring and wedding band are both platinum and I feel weird when I try to wear yellow gold jewelry now- I think it “clashes.” I’d love to hear about how other people make 2 metals work since I’m obviously not going to forgo wearing my wedding ring in order to wear a yellow gold necklace.

Those beet burgs look delicious! I need to try something like that. I’ve had beets in the fridge for a while now and haven’t used them…they might actually be going bad :( I better do something with the next bunch I buy. Plus, so enticed by those grapes – I bought some last week, and I think they lasted 2 days. I scarfed them down and tried to go back for more, but I’m a picky grape eater and the store no longer had the crunchy sour ones like I had the day before…oh grapes and being picky!
