Dessert instead

Hi friends! Hope you’re having a lovely night <3

Just got back from acupuncture, dinner and a super schweaty Zumba class – a trifecta of happiness 🙂

I had every intention of making a “real dinner” tonight, but when my friend Marisa suggested we go to acupuncture, stay on the downtown side of Tucson and grab dinner before Zumba, I thought it was an excellent plan.

So instead of spending some of the afternoon making dinner, I made some roons 😀

Blonde

roons

Meyer-lemon lavender

roon

and Chocolate Almond Butter.

The house smells foodgasmical right now 😀

It was Marisa’s first acupuncture experience and she was a fan. It’s funny because I can tell when I haven’t been in a couple of weeks now- my body let’s me know it’s time to book a little acupuncture nap 🙂 Since I couldn’t see the clock, I had to ask my acupuncturist to wake me up when it had been an hour… otherwise I would have easily snoozed the rest of the night away.

Dinner was at B Line Cafe on 4th Ave:

Grilled mahi mahi tacos with avocado and cabbage, salsa, beans and rice with decaf Hibiscus iced tea.

Yep 😀

Now I’m back at the casa munching some organic strawberries for dessert…

strawberries

dipped into melted cashew butter 🙂

berries

Bed is screaming my name- night friends <3

xoxo

Not related to this partic. post but it’s really hard to imagine Tucson right now. It’s pretty weird thinking about how you had 110 degrees when i’m in the negatives. Well in Celsius that it is. It’s cold, windy (the windchill lowers the ‘feel’ by several degrees and i think to placate people all the weather here has the caveat that it feels like x – which is about 4-5 degrees less than the actual temperature) and there are days of sheet rain that seems to be moving in directly from Antarctica (the closest landmass to where i live). It’s hard to imagine warmth and sun and sitting outside to eat your lunch. So thanks for reminding me that one day summer will come here too 🙂

Wow, those eats look absoutely incredible…what a feast! I want that mexican meal now, lol! 😉 I’ve never actually eaten mexican in a restaurant before, only at home, but having seen so many glorious eating-out dishes on your blog I am definitely tempted to give it a whirl! 🙂 Glad you had such a great evening – trifecta of happiness…that’s an awesome description! xyx

  22. The Teenage Taste on June 29, 2011 at 9:06 am

I don’t think any of the ‘roons would make it to the dehydrator if I was making them. The dough just looks too delicious. I’d eat it all!

I feel like all I ever want is fish tacos and black beans. All about it.

Also, I just am craving macaroons like a crazy person now. A picture really is worth a thousand words and those are worth the word “yummy” x 1000!

  29. Tiff @ Love, Sweat, and Beers on June 29, 2011 at 3:22 pm

Yum! I never liked the way hardened chocolate crumbles off of dipped strawberries. These sound easier to eat. By the way, the dinner looks great too!

  30. Dani on June 29, 2011 at 4:50 pm

Those tacos look to dieeee for!! yum!

  31. Laura (Cookies vs. Carrots) on June 29, 2011 at 5:13 pm
