Fitness stocking stuffers

Hi, fellow shopping elves 🙂 I can’t believe that with the exception of a few last-minute things (and wrapping, which is always a party), we are DOOOOOONE. I’m excited to just enjoy Christmas Eve day, since I won’t be fighting people at the mall. Rejoice. I thought I’d put together a list of stocking stuffers for those who are shopping for fitness-loving family members and friends this holiday season. I included a range of price points, too. If you’re still looking for gift ideas, don’t forget to check out my 2012 gift guide and guide for new mamas and babies! Also, Julie did an awesome gift guide of gifts that give back.

Have you tackled your shopping list?

As much as I love shopping for others this time of year, I’m so thankful for the gift of spending time with loved ones, especially since we’ve been blessed with another year in Tucson. It’s going to be a good one <3

Here are some fun stocking stuffer ideas:

Twistband metalics angela 300x300 2

Twist bands! $16 for 6. I picked up a few for Christmas gifts… and had to keep one for myself, I liked them so much. Not only are they perfect ponytail holders, they look cute on your wrist and come in fun colors (and sparkles). Love!

Barre

Bars and fuel. My current loves are Clif gels for running, and these Barre bars for everyday. I just ordered another box since they don’t last long around here.

Gym Boss

Gymboss interval timer ($20). These are extremely helpful for a wide range of fitness modalities, including CrossFit, sprints and timed workouts. I love the fact that the timer is compact with different sound settings and easy to clip onto your shirt.

9175 default w350

Mini body care products for a gym bag. Think little shampoos, conditioners, body wash, lotion- all awesome for pre-work or lunchtime gym sessions. I especially love the H20 + products (especially their body butter) and this travel Ojon dry shampoo.

Socks

Socks (the ones above can be found at Victoria’s Secret). Our laundry room is the abyss of lost socks, so I’m always so grateful to receive them as gifts, as I often forget to pick some up myself. I love all brands and funky patterns.

12437143

Water bottle ($10-30). This an extremely useful gift for anyone, especially a fellow fitness lover. The purple Camelbak above is my current favorite, and I appreciate how easy it is to clean. Liv learned how to drink out of it, too, which was pretty awesome 😉

H2O Audio Flex All Sport Earbuds

Earbuds. There are tons of brands and options at multiple price points (the ones pictured above are $30).

Zumba trot

Group fitness events! If you want to get together without spending $, plan a group event with some friends. Take a yoga class, host a Zumbathon, pole fitness, run your own 5k, or get together and volunteer at a cause you support.

Whatever you’re up to this holiday season, I’m sending lots of love and light to you <3

Have a happy Monday!

xoxo

Gina

I have not started my Christmas shopping :/ Oops. haha. Tomorrow is my planned shopping day. Thankfully don’t have many people to buy for!

Those Barre Bars look interesting. Are they gluten-free? I will also have to check out the Victoria Secret socks. I recently declared sock bankruptcy (gave away all socks without a pair ie 90% of them) so I need to refill. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Gina. Do you have any recommendations for Christmas books for little ones? You talk about reading to Olivia a good bit on your blog and I was hoping you might be able to tell me a few of her favorite titles. Books make the best gifts and I have a couple of friends’ kids I’d like to buy for.

she loves all of the eric carle board books, when she was a few months old the animal books that are fuzzy for each animal (like the farm animals book), olivia board books, 5 little monkeys jumping on the bed, where is baby’s belly button?

I’ve been hooked on those twist bands for years. They became popular in Charlottesville where I went to school. And I’ve sampled those bars at WF–yummo

Those kinds of pony tales (Not the brand but that style) are the only kind I use anymore. They cause so much less hair breakage and knots than regular elastic. Great list, thanks!

I love that Camelbak waterbottle. My son learned to drink out of it also which is yay and eesh – I find interesting chunks of bunny crackers and cheese bits in my water after he’s had his way with it.

Great idea for hosting your own fitness event!

Love that list thank you so much for sharing!! The twistbands are supercute. I use the Gymboss Timer a lot, it’s great!! I wish we could get those bars around here.

I’m already done my Christmas shopping, but I wish I had the list before I had finished. These are great suggestions!

I LOVE h2O+ products. We stayed at One Ocean in Jacksonville and they had miniatures of their bath products in the (truly epic) shower. I went downstairs and bought them from the spa right away! They smell heavenly. A little pricey but worth it if that’s something you’re willing to spend a little extra on 🙂

    • Fitnessista on December 17, 2012 at 4:53 pm

that’s where i first discovered that brand too! love love love 🙂

Great tips for last minute gift buying! I actually just bought my sister a new “fancy” water bottle. Healthy lunch sets – like lunch bags or salad kits are great gifts too! I have a great healthy eating giveaway running today, come check out!
