This year has been the most beautiful, challenging, and blessed one yet. Thank you Liv, for making me your mama, and for all that you’ve already taught me about true love. And to Tom.. from the moment we found out we were pregnant, to the night you coached me through hundreds of contractions, and now, every second you’re with our baby: I’m lucky to be able to watch you be a daddy, because you’re an incredible one.
We’re off for some birthday fun and the fam is coming over for pizza and cake tonight.

I found out 2 days after Liv was born that I was pregnant with my second, and she’s 4.5 months old already! Time sure flies. Enjoy every moment of your baby girl’s birthday!!

I have been reading your blog for awhile now and think it is nothing short of incredibly inspirational and a breath of fresh air. You remind me on a daily basis to commit to my food choices and listen to my body. I have talked about your blog to my nutritional therapist for quite some time, but I really got her attention the other day when I was going on and on about a breakfast cookie I had finally decided to try and that I have been eating regularly for the past few weeks (and not only was I eating it, but I was also excited about it… quite the fete for someone who loathes breakast). That first picture of you holding her after she was born is my favorite picture on your site. It’s like she came out of the womb with a happy little personality.
Happy Birthday baby! Was that first pic taken the day she was born? If so that is one alert kid. My niece was 2 or 3 weeks old before anyone was finally able to snap a pic of her with her eyes open.

First off, I’ve read your blog for several years now and the post I comment on is your babies’ birthday post?
It is hard to believe that it is Olivia’s first birthday. It seems like you just had her. And, I hate you for looking so cute holding her in the hospital in that first photo. I have really enjoyed watching her grow up the past year while you grow into becoming a “mommy.” To be honest, I felt a little dread when you told us you were pregnant because all of my friends were pregnant and/or just had babies and through their experiences it’s made me not want to avoid all things pregnant/babies. I wasn’t sure what your blog was going to become – no one needs to know how dilated a pregnant woman is the weeks leading up to her child’s birth. Thanks for not being that “pregnant” woman.
Anyway, what I really wanted to say: your daughter is adorable and I LOVE that last picture. I may have to drive to Tuscan to get my kids photos taken.
Seriously, you had her a year ago? Time really does go by quickly. We just started the adoption process and I can’t wait to bring my daughter home too.
