7/12: Friday faves

-Goat’s milk Greek yogurt!

Lately, I’ve been enjoying it with fresh berries, almonds, a drizzle of local honey + lots of cinnamon.

-Handmade dresses. Remember my airy fairy yoga friend? She made this dress! She brought in some of her pieces to work, all dyed and sewn by hand. Here’s the one I purchased:

Check out the back! It will be an awesome swimsuit coverup,

or I’ll wear it out and about with sandals and pray I can pull it off 😉

-A little date night. We went to North for appetizers and drinks, and it was wonderful. North has been entirely rebranded and revamped — the atmosphere is much more inviting

and they have a fantastic new menu. We shared a vegetarian version of the chef’s board and I had a lovely glass of syrah.

-Almonds all the day. Blue Diamond was a sponsor at Fitbloggin’ and I came home with almonds galore. I’m especially crazy about the new coffee flavors and enjoyed some poured in my cereal yesterday:

-Speaking of swag, my friends at Yes To surprised me with a package of their new body washes and CC creams to try out:

Yes to 1 of 1

-Also fun: the new LUSH beach gift set. The ocean hair spray smells so heavenly and the salt scrub is like a margarita 😉

-Upcoming vacations! We have a couple of amazing ones in the next couple of months. I can’t wait to take Livi to see Minnie Mouse and attend the IDEA World Convention next month. It’s my first time.. and I’ll get to meet Shaun T. and Chalene! Beyond stoked.

-Going upstairs to watch the monsoon storms with lovebug. I’ve been teaching her the different storm sounds so she won’t be afraid, and she has an awesome thunder impression already 😉

What are you loving right now? Any fun weekend plans?

Hope you have a very happy Friday!

    That dress…I die…….

  27. Christina on July 12, 2013 at 2:20 pm

Cute pic of baby. When u eat cereal or almonds, do u watch portions? Or just eat it & stop when satisfied?

    • Fitnessista on July 12, 2013 at 3:37 pm

i do with the almonds, but not so much with the cereal. i just call it good after 2-3 bowls because i could eat a whole box and not be “full.” it helps to eat it with other things

  28. Laura @losingrace on July 12, 2013 at 2:40 pm

Love the Yesto brand! I actually just contacted them about what would be best for me with newly dx eczema

Fun plans this weekend involve my first half- iron!

  30. Suzanne on July 12, 2013 at 3:11 pm

    Hey Gina,

Can you review the Yes to Carrots products when you’ve tried them out? I’ve been looking for a new bodywash, and those look great. 🙂

My weekend plans: I’ll be waiting in a massive 3-6 hour line to see the “Rain Room” exhibit at MOMA in NYC. It’s the thing to see right now, second to the “cronut” which has a 200-person line starting at 5:30am! (I will try this delicious croissant-donut hybrid after the hype has died down!)

    Your yogurt creation looks delicious!

That dress looks awesome on you! So gorgeous! 🙂

I’m loving the way my kitty will sit at the sliding glass door and move her head side to side as she watches all the birds, chipmunks, and squirrels go by. Then she makes this little squeak sound that just melts my heart.

I’m heading to Portland, OR this weekend for a road trip with some girls and I’m definitely revisiting your Portland post before I leave – I already googled that ice cream place you mentioned, and since I’m gluten intolerant (sadly, leaving me out of the Voodoo Donut party) I’m definitely going to enjoy some specialty ice cream while I’m there!

  41. Jenni on July 12, 2013 at 7:12 pm

Right now I’m loving trashy TV like The Bachelorette, haha! I’m also loving lots of fruit! Currently snacking on fresh strawberries and frozen banana. 🙂

I’ve been wanting to try goat milk greek yogurt but just haven’t. I’ll have to see if my WF’s carries that one. Looks yummy! We almost bought tickets for our anniversary to the IDEA conference mainly to meet Shaun T and Tony Horton! My hubby is a fan as well. Instead we decided to head to the Sonoma/Napa area to a B&B this weekend for some wine tasting, kayaking and hiking through the Redwoods. Can’t wait!
