not this time (February 2, 2015)

So I was feeling anxious and took a pregnancy test last week. When I took my pregnancy test with Liv, I didn’t go to the store with the intention of getting a test. I was in Target, buying a bunch of random things (in true Target spirit) and a pregnancy test found its way into my cart. This time, I went to CVS with one purpose: preg test. I just had to know.

Livi was with me, and thankfully I missed the “Ooooh, WHAT IS THAT?” question from her because she was holding the candy hearts for this post and begging me to let her have some. We went up to pay, the cashier was super sweet (I always wonder what they think when people buy pregnancy tests. When I worked at Target, I couldn’t help but wonder if the purchaser was hoping to be pregnant or hoping for a sigh of relief), and we headed home. Liv got the candy heart she had been wanting, and I took the test since impatience is one of my talents.

When I saw the minus sign, I expected my heart to drop, but I accepted it. It will happen when it’s supposed to. Part of me figured it wasn’t in the cards this month, but I’m feeling hopefully for next month. Of course, I have three blog trips so who knows if the timing will work out. We’re ready for you, baby, whenever it happens. <3

I had a cashier straight up ask me if I was trying. We were, but still made for a very awkward moment.

I had a feeling you guys were trying….cos you posted that your house is even number, animals and even number human 😀 I am sooooo happy for you.

Its soo funny. With my oldest son, I got preggo in tech school, got to my first base a month later. Within in the first week I felt soo off, so I went to the clinic thinking I had the flu or something. The dr immediately asked if I was preg. I hesitated cos I hadn’t thought about it. So they took a blood test and within an hr they came back and technician said so everything looks good. At this point I am sitting on edge of bed and said so I am ok, not pregnant? He goes no you are very preg. I was shocked.
With my 2nd we were trying off and on for 6 months. We literally stopped trying, I was due to deploy. The day I go in for my shots, I was due to leave to afghan right after new years. they wanted to do a preg test. so I gave blood. Totally forgot about it, that afternoon the hosp calls me and says I need to come in immediately I am preg. :O I was shocked. So I call my hubby who is about to go to pt, and told him he cant go to pt there is an emergency I am coming to get him… he gets in the car and I tell him. He was sooo surprised.
Then with our daughter last jan, on Thursday night I pulled a muscle in my right side, HORRIBLE pain. Woke up crying in pain, horrible Kim Kardashian face and tears. THe base sent me to Faster care, I go in begging for vicodin… the nurse immediately tells me to pee in a cup which I never had to do before. Literally 5 mins later the Dr comes in and says no vicodin I am pregnant. 😀 I had a lot of scares with my daughter.
Anyway…sorry for the long message, just wanted to share.
