2016 Holiday Gift Guide: for moms and expecting mamas
Hi friends! Hope you’re having a wonderful day. It’s been a crazy and fun week over here: a cookie party with friends, a hot yoga class with Betsy, and starting to go through the stuff in our house to get ready for next week. One of the good things about moving so often is that you get the change to sort through things you may not need, and do a purge each time. But at the same time, we totally have some boxes in storage that have traveled from house to house without actually being opened, so there ya go. Oops…
So for now, the holiday gift guide party continues! This is another one of my favorite gift guides to create, because I love surprising my mama and expecting mom friends over the holidays, and enjoy shopping for my mom and stepmom. Here are some ideas for these special ladies on your list. While some of these are more personalized and may not make it for Christmas, they’re fun to save for random surprises and upcoming birthdays.

Something to wear:
Cute and comfy jammies. When you’re chasing around kiddos and aren’t able to get ready for the day until later, comfy and cute jammies make a huge difference
A luxe robe or perfect cardigan
A pretty top (I picked this one up last week and LOVE IT)
Blanket scarf (this one is only $14 right now)
Jewelry and accessories:
A beautiful diaper bag that doesn’t look like one
A gorgeous backpack (<— $79 and looks just as nice as the $300+ ones I’ve seen)
Personalized bracelet like this one, or one from KEEP collective. I love the personalized jewelry, but felt like a lot of options out there weren’t really my style. It was so much fun to design one from KEEP, and I was able to add personalized details without feeling like it was over the top. The one I designed is picture in this post.

Mommin’ Ain’t Easy top. My friend Julie sent one to me shortly after P was born, and it was the uniform for the early days. It always made me chuckle a little too, especially when I was perpetually covered in spit-up.
Stocking stuffers:
A spa treatment! Pedicure, massage, facial, 10 minutes to stare at a wall blankly; all appreciated
Safe skincare products. I was at a holiday party last night, and was so interested to hear that a lot of mamas and paying attention to what’s in their skincare and cosmetics. Needless to say, there were a lot of Beautycounter fans in the house. There are so many beautiful holiday gifts to choose from right now!

One of my BFFs is pregnant, and her birthday is December 29, so I am baking her favorite brownies as a gift. She is also all about pampering, so I’ll treat her to a massage, too. She introduced me to the Asian foot massage places. Have you been? They are amazing.
I’m pregnant for the first time (15 weeks) and would love anything on this list but especially the spa treatments you mentioned!
I’m giving my mom a gift certificate to a local yoga studio – she has always wanted to try it out! I am really hoping to find some new slippers under the tree, my old ones are destroyed.

honestly, i just want to take a nap after my kids open all their gifts. i’m planning on buying a new laptop for my mom since she’s 300 miles away and hers isn’t very dependable at the moment. not a fancy one, but one where she can see picture of her grandkids and so we can skype 🙂

im getting my mom a 12month picture frame with a picture of my son for each month this year (he’s only 9 months old so will have to add to it!) I think she will love it!
I got my mom a decorative candle holder that I found back in the summer and it immediately made me think of her, and I also got her a lilac-scented candle. She loves lilacs and the scent of the candle is spot on!

My husband and I are struggling with infertility–so just being a mama or expectant mama is top of my list! 🙂
This pregnant mama would love a prenatal massage! We’re getting my mom a canvas print of her favorite picture of her and my dad.
I got my mom some theater tickets to go see Mamma Mia (her fave) & Wizard of Oz (my daughter & I are tagging along, of course!). 😉 They are touring in our area in Jan. & Feb. so it worked out perfectly. I also snagged her some gift certificates for dinner before (otherwise we argue over the check even though it’s supposed to be her Xmas present).
My 5 siblings and I are giving my parents “6 days with Jim & Linda”. Each of us is planning a special date for them to go on! A winery tour, a golf outing, dinner at a special restaurant, etc. Kudos to my younger sis for the idea!

I was going to give my mom a cute little framed picture of us. That paper portrait is a great idea though!
Love these! Being a momma totally changes many things on our wish list…like sleep! lol
I love the safer skincare! Since I was pregnant I started changing over to more natural products. Now as I nurse and receive the best sloppy sugars from my little guy it is something that is more and more important to me.
