Battle Rope Arm Burner – Workout Your Arms and Elevate Your Heart Rate!

Hi friends! Happy humpday. <3 I’ve got a battle rope arm workout for you below that I hope you love!

New post is up on the Family page here. We leave for Tucson TOMORROW. Gimme those tamales, margaritas, late nights at madre’s house and time with the fam. I can’t wait. In typical Gina fashion, I’ve done zero packing, and today I’m taking P to music class, going paddleboarding with Lindy and getting my eyebrows done. #priorities

(pretty flowers at Whole Foods!)

I also have get Easter goodies in order since we’ll just take everything with us. I usually do a swimsuit, sandals, and towel in Liv’s Easter basket with whatever small cute goodies I can find. She requested a chocolate bunny, but that will be easy to grab in Tucson. With Miss P, I’ll probably get her a teether, book and baby doll.

Dinners!

Honey dijon salmon

Monday was honey-Dijon salmon with asparagus and brown rice. For the salmon, I just seasoned the wild filets with salt and pepper, and pan-seared them before transferring to a baking dish. I whisked up a sauce (equal parts honey, Dijon mustard, olive oil, and seasoned well with salt, pepper and garlic powder) and poured it on top before baking.

Last night, we had chicken tortilla soup. The recipe is here! It’s SO easy, and is one of those go-to meals I know Liv will always crush.

Macaron cheers with Liv. I’ve cut way down on sugar, but I’m not made of stone. 😉

Gym-wise, I’ve hit it hard the past few days and am taking today as much “off” day, even though I teach barre later tonight. (I usually just demo the moves and do a few reps before walking around the coach and adjust.) Something I’ve fallen in love with lately? The battle ropes!

Battle Rope Arm Workout

It’s funny because I’ve taught battle ropes for a while -we used them at the resort- and would use them in my clients, but I rarely used them in my own workouts. When I went to use the ropes for the first time, I was like sh*t, this is actually really hard haha. They are intense! Plus, the sculpt your arms in an entire different way, and elevate your heart rate so you burn more calories. Here’s a little arm burner I put together for ya.

Links to Battle Rope Exercises

Double arm rope beats

Hammer curls

Single arm rope beats

Push-ups

Side to side rope beats

Bent-over rows

You can do this in conjunction with your arm workout, or as a burner before/after cardio. As always, check with a doc before making any fitness changes. This would also go well with this squat burner and this plank burner.

Let me know if you give it a try!

Have a wonderful day and I’ll see ya later.

xoxo

I just tried a macaroon for the 1st time on vacation a couple weeks ago because you talk about them so much. Yes, I understand the hype now. 😉

My gym used to have battle ropes but they got rid of them. Probably because I was the only person using them! I wish I could visit my family for Easter, but they’re in Wisconsin. A little too far to visit! Enjoy Tucson for me. I need to get down there to visit friends.

I loved your dongle Snapchat from yesterday, hahaha. Seriously, WHO CAME UP WITH THAT WORD?! We looked up the origin at work once, and it kind of seems like a group of guys were sitting around a room and were like “let’s call it a dongle” while laughing awkwardly to themselves.

Oh sweet! Thanks for putting together a battle rope workout for us. I’ve been wanting to try them at my gym but haven’t really known where to start. This is great!

Oooh! Can’t wait to try this battle rope routine. It looks great. I love them and totally agree about them sculpting your arms in a different way than other arm exercises. I like doing jumping jacks with them, too : )

Have fun in Tucson! Your trip sounds like so much fun. And the eats aren’t half bad, either! : )

Please do a review on this diet https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2FHuYcsFYU it seems like a great weight loss system, but I would love to see your opinion about it 🙂

I think you may have convinced me that battle ropes need to go in my amazon cart! I feel like other girls are off spending too much money on shoes, and I’m over here like – “oooh what kind of workout equipment and food can I buy next?” lol 🙂

Salmon, asparagus and brown rice is my “go to” dinner. Your tortilla soup looks fabulous. Enjoy your Easter. We are all ready for Spring!

As a yoga teacher who uses body weight to workout, I’ve never worked out with ropes before…but now I’m intrigued!

Totally ready for spring…it looks much warmer where you are then here in Toronto. Happy Easter!
