Bring on Bday Week

Hey everyone! Hope you’re having a lovely Sunday 😀

Here are the pics from our little feast last night at Big City Tavern

bigcitymenu

We got the scallop appetizer with extra grilled apples instead of bacon

scallops

The always necessary Shiraz 😀

bcshiraz

and we both got the same thing for dinner: seared Salmon with extra veggies instead of rice

salmonveg

It was quite lovely. Next to Indian food baby, salmon food baby is my favorite kinda baby 😀

This morning, we got up pretty early to drop Ash off at the esthetics show.

I munched a persimmon and a nanner on the way:

bananapersimmon

and took a seriously incredible Bikram class while she was at the show.

Check out the door!

torturechamber

I love it 😀

It was an ahhhhhmazing class. After the lack of structure in my yoga life yesterday, a Bikram class was just what I needed. The teacher was wonderful –and just returned from taking a workshop in Vegas with the speedo-clad Bikram himself- and was extremely kind and thorough while she pushed us to the max. I was a sweaty happy beast when I left 😀

I picked Ashley up and we got on the road back to Valdizzy.

Road trip food:

sushi

Brown rice sushi with cado, cuc and carrot

Organic apple:

orgapple

We’re just getting into Orlando and are making a quick stop at Milennia Mall (*insert evil laugh*) before picking up Bella and continuing onto V-town.

The pilot is at home waiting for me!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhh I can’t wait to see him 😀

Countdown to birthday/quarter-life crisis: 4 days!!!!!

Enjoy the rest of your day <3

xoxo,

G$

Hey Gina, I never comment your posts but I always read and love them. I just was wondering where you did yoga? I live in S. Florida and really want to try bikram yoga but I’m not sure where in the area there is a studio. If you mentioned it in the earlier post sorry I missed it!

Woohoo November birthdays! Mine’s November 18. I’m going to be old…22. In case I miss the exact day, happy early b-day! Hell, happy birthday erryday this week!

Ahh! Yay for seeing the pilot! Hmmm what’s he getting you for the bday, I wonder… ;)xoxo

Your meal out looks great! Especially that salmon with the veggies – yum.
Happy last few days in your early 20’s! 😉

  19. Gena on November 9, 2009 at 7:17 am

Hooray for BDAY week! I’ll be counting, too.

  20. Jenn (eating bender) on November 9, 2009 at 7:57 am

The fact that the door says “torture chamber” just made me burst out laughing. I love it! Where can I get me one of those? I love that you made your own hot yoga room, by the way. That is such a great idea! I’m feeling more and more confident lately that I should be able to get through and at least attend a real yoga class — perhaps bikram will be the next step after that. It’s such a great feeling…I’m on the yoga buzz!

HURRAY FOR THE PILOT BEING HOME!! What a perfect start to the birthday/quarter life crisis week. Although if you ask me, you are 25, fit and FABULOUS 🙂

  21. Christina on November 9, 2009 at 6:57 pm

Your website is great! I love tuning in everyday and getting inspired.

By the way – don’t worry about the quarter century thing, I reckon 25 was a great age. Old enough to have some sense, young enough to ignore it! 🙂 I’m counting down the days till I turn 30! I’ve never been so terrified or freaked out about anything in my life!

    • Fitnessista on November 9, 2009 at 8:04 pm

that’s an EXCELLENT way of thinking of it 😀
you’ll be thirty, flirty and thriving 🙂
