Burrito Bootay

Heyyyyyy 🙂 How are you doing? Hope you’ve had a lovely Sunday!

We didn’t make it to the pool today, but were super productive and got some chill time in 😀

Mid-afternoon, I snacked on an organic applesauce with cinnamon

appl sauce

and then had another one. It tasted SO delicious- applesauce is extremely underappreciated 😉

While we were out and about, we grabbed linner (lunch/dinner) from Moe’s

(Welcome to Moooooooooe’s!)

burrito

(Well, first we stopped at Pita Pit, but the Valdosta Pita Pit never has wheat pitas, so we peaced out and got Moe’s instead)

I always seem to forget about Moe’s. Usually it’s because I feel like I could make the exact same burrito at home, but the Pilot LOVES it.

I rolled with a black bean burrito on wheat:

burrito (2)

With black beans, lettuce, salsa, guacamole, olives and jalapenos.

I opened it up to munch most of the innards with a fork

burrito (3)

And then rolled it back up so I could devour the rest burrito-style. The little part at the end (the burrito bootay) is by far the best part 😉

I was planning to take an off day and do some gentle yoga—the yoga didn’t happen because my legs and back are still screaming at me from the Zumbathon. So worth it, though <3

Now I’m sipping some peppermint almond milk (almond milk heated with a peppermint tea bag steeped in + Stevia- a trick I learned from HEABy forever ago)

tea

and ready to revel in the Kardashian drama before making macaroons.

See ya tomorrow with a macaroon giveaway and a Zumba video! 😀

xoxo,

Gina

Do any of ya’ll have the Women’s Health Big Book of Exercises? I’m going to tailor a workout plan using exercises in the book for one of my clients – do you guys want me to post it on the bloggy, too?

woohoo i am the first commenter 😀

I love moe’s and qdoba..my hubby and son always get the Joey bag o’donuts. I love getting a veggie burrito. Their Guac is sooo good! I always get a big cup to have for a couple days (i add a little lemon juice to not let it get brown).

I bought the Women’s Health book last night. Gonna take it with me on the deployment next week so I can have a workout plan to keep me on my workout game.

I would love to see the one you have planned. May take it with me too.

  2. McPinks on September 12, 2010 at 8:26 pm

I have seen the book before and thought about getting it…For sure post the workout!

And I 100% agree – burrito booty is the best!:)

  3. Rachael on September 12, 2010 at 8:26 pm

Ah, Moe’s. We have a more homespun burrito joint in Asheville called Mamacita’s, which usually wins out, but occasionally, my boyfriend does a Moe’s run..I think he likes the name.
Burrito bootay had me crack a much-needed smile. Thanks!

  4. Laura (On the Threshold of Greatness) on September 12, 2010 at 8:29 pm

Great idea with the almond milk and peppermint tea! I may have to try that as the cool weather moves in.

Love “linner.” We call it “dunch” in my family. 🙂

  5. Errign on September 12, 2010 at 8:31 pm

Mmmm, that almond milk sounds yummy – I’ll have to pick some up on my trek to TJs tomorrow to whip that up!

I am about to go munch some applesauce with pumpkin pie spice, that’s my current fave!

  6. holly @ couchpotatoathlete on September 12, 2010 at 8:43 pm

I have thought about getting that book — I’d def reconsider getting it if you made a workout from it 🙂

That burrito looks killer and I totally know what you mean about the burrito bootay! The part where the tortilla is all crumpled up and warm? Yum.

  7. Lauren @ BIOCHEMISTA on September 12, 2010 at 8:46 pm

I’d LOVE if you posted from the book 🙂

Totally agree – bottom of the burrito is BY FAR the best. All the ooey-gooey goodness saved for the end. Kinda like the middle of a cinnamon roll – save the best for last!

  8. Julie @pickley pear on September 12, 2010 at 8:53 pm

Oohhh burritos! Chipotle is my fav around here. Please post the workout!

  9. Lily on September 12, 2010 at 8:57 pm

I have to admit i normally just eat the inside of the burrito! im not a big tortilla fan, and my tummy doesnt hadle gluten well. I just realized i should just order a salad… baahaha.

IM dying to try zumba, is it a good workout? Im an xc runner so i like things to be sweaty and Bootayy kickin!

    • Fitnessista on September 13, 2010 at 9:17 am

zumba is an amazing workout! i burn more cals in zumba than running 🙂

  10. Whitney on September 12, 2010 at 9:13 pm

I’m not really a fan of Moe’s either…I think it’s because there are just MUCH better Mexican and Southwestern restaurants in town. Post the workout…I can always use some new moves 🙂

  11. Pam on September 12, 2010 at 9:13 pm

I have the book and it would be great to see your workout plan!

  12. Susan @ Journey for Health on September 12, 2010 at 9:22 pm

Please post the workout 🙂 I’ve never heard of that book, so maybe I’ll see if my school library has it.

And since the cool and crisp weather is already here in eastern WA, I will have to have some of that peppermint tea later.

  13. babs on September 12, 2010 at 9:22 pm

Moe’s is pretty darn tasty, though I still love Chiptotle and their guac the beessst

  14. Michelle on September 12, 2010 at 9:23 pm

Hi Gina! Hey, do you know of anyway to make macaroons if you don’t have a dehydrator?? I would love to try some of these concoctions I see on the blogs, but cannot fork out the money just yet for the dehydrator.

    • Fitnessista on September 13, 2010 at 9:16 am

Girl I JUST rediscovered the magic of the applesauce last Friday. Same thing for me: went back for seconds immediately. Dang good stuff!

  18. Kristina @ spabettie on September 12, 2010 at 9:41 pm

HA – I did the same thing today, ate a mini applesauce, then ate ANOTHER 😉

I love the “burrito bootay” – my favorite part 🙂

  21. Lindsay on September 12, 2010 at 9:45 pm

That’s such a good idea about the peppermint almond milk. I used to put tea bags in milk, but then when I stopped drinking real milk, I forgot that I could do the same thing with a substitute. Almond milk’s my fav.

  22. Chelsea on September 12, 2010 at 9:47 pm

I don’t have the book, but would love to see the workout anyhow!

The burrito looks delicious, I don’t think we have Moe’s here in Canada! Oh, and applesauce with cinnamon= so good. Loveee it.

Ohh….that peppermint almond milk sounds divine! I love peppermint tea and almond milk, so I am going to have to whip that up. Also, I LOVE the ends of burritos!

I HATE the burrito bootay, I’d give you mine any day of the week. I prefer the very first bite of a perfectly cut half.

However… the butt of a loaf of french baguette? ALLL MINEEEE
