Chia Winner, Edward and Dinner

Hi everyone! Hope your Friday has been wonderful so far 😀

I’m thinking the pilot knew I needed some roses 😉

roses

I got home last night, a little tired from the week, and they were there on the counter. He still makes my heart flutter… and I’m a cheeseball 😉

Bfast this morning was a bowl of fruit:

a omelet with salad:

and a side of blog drama which I’m happy to say was taken care of. Blog was being plagiarized heavily –thank you to you guys for letting me know when this is happening!- and was deleted. Followed by dessert of a mean comment, which is funny because I had been telling my blog friends that’s been forever since I’ve gotten a rude comment. Guess it was time — It’s been quite a day, let me tell ya 😉

So since I couldn’t have real Bailey’s (it was only 10 AM at this time, and even though it is a Friday, I restrained), I had some in chocolate form:

baileys

It only took one for the sanity to come back 😉

Then I met Jeni at the gym for back and biceps:

Elliptical 5 minutes Crossramp 10, Level 5
Hammer curls 8 lbs each 3 sets of 12
V-rope pullback 80 lbs 3 sets of 12
Seated row 50 lbs 3 sets of 12
Prone jacks body weight 3 sets of 30 seconds
Bicep curls 8 lbs each 3 sets of 10
Elliptical 25 minutes Crossramp 10, level 5
Total time: 1 hr

Lunch was pretty glorious.

raw sandwich

Raw onion bread with wilted spinach and grape tomatoes (put in the dehydrator with balsamic, sea salt and pepper). Pretty face rockin’.

Along with some women’s health tea, which tastes like grass. That means it’s extra healthy, right? 😉

I cleaned the casa, trained a super cute pregnant lady with back issues (a little challenging but a lot of fun), then came back to pick the winner of the chia giveaway!

Today’s snacks included a raw bar:

A mini Ezekiel with a little AB and Polaner spread:

And a little dip into this bad Johnnie:

You asked for it 😉

Well I’m off to do some yoga.. or roll around on my foam roller for 30 minutes… then getting ready to see New Moon (again!) and catch dinner with the girls before we head to the squadron to give drunken pilots rides home. (It’s a “roll call” night which means all the guys stay after work and drink like fish.)

Have a wonderful night!

xoxo,

Gina

Today’s tip: Freeze extra ripe bananas in ziploc bags—just peel them, cut them in half and throw 2 halves into each baggie and into the freezer. They’re perfect to use for smoothies! The substance is thicker and extra cold without watering it down with ice.

PS For those of you who asked how to make hogcorn in the last post: I honestly don’t know how! The pilots make it in the squadron bar every day- they have a popcorn maker. Maybe I could ask the pilot to do a guest post???

I had my 1st mean/hate comment sent to me last week! Not a great feeling but hopefully I won’t have too many more! lol

  2. Mari on December 4, 2009 at 5:39 pm

Hey! I am delurking to tell you that you rock and need not listen to jealous losers. Whoever made a rude comment was just bitter because you are awesome and have a hot husband (can I say that? haha). Cheers to you for having a positive attitude!

and def stay positive — thats what keeps me coming back every morning while my coffee is brewing 😀

  4. Sally on December 4, 2009 at 5:44 pm

Hi Gina! Sorry about the haters! I feel bad that they must be so unhappy to have to try to cut you down like that, but it sounds like you just let it roll off your back! What is it with the aviators and the popcorn?? The squadron here has one too and the newest guy/duty guy (That would be my husband) has the very serious(!) responsibility of keeping the supply fresh. They don’t have any special toppings like yall’s though!

  5. Kate on December 4, 2009 at 5:52 pm

Since the trend today seems to be de-lurking, just wanted to say I often read and while I never comment, your blog is lovely and so are you! Plus the food ideas are awesome.

    Cheers!

  6. Mama Pea on December 4, 2009 at 5:55 pm

Oh no. I missed the blog hijacking and nasto comment. Obviously there is some major jealousy going on on both counts. Of course, I’m quite envious of the roses. I’m always down for a guest post!!!

Thank goodness you caught that plagiarizer – and I hope that the blog haters HERE are gone too!

  12. Carrie on December 4, 2009 at 6:16 pm

What drama! I am jealous you get to exercise so much! Before the kids I used to take 5 yoga classes and 3 pilates classes a week and walk the dog every day. I was a happy girl! One day I will have time again.
So glad you don’t let it get you down. Thanks for your blog and all your great nutrition advice and ideas. I really appreciate all the effort and time you put into this!

  14. Jenna on December 4, 2009 at 6:18 pm

I am so sorry about the drama you’ve had to put up with today 🙁 But the chocolate had to make things a lot better!

Relax and have fun tonight lady, you deserve it!

  15. Brittany on December 4, 2009 at 7:20 pm

The pilot is such a sweetheart- the roses are beautiful!!

Glad everything’s sorted out with the plagiarizer and boo for mean comments. I’ve only ever gotten one but totally not a fun experience. I’m all for open discussion and expressing your point of view, but I’m not for hurting other people feelings.

I just saw New Moon for the first time last night and I absolutely loved it!!! I’m a huge Edward fan but Taylor Lautner looked absolutely smokin in that movie!!

  17. Zaineb on December 4, 2009 at 8:08 pm

I’m really really really sorry. I totally did not mean to hurt your feelings, i think too much came out at once and in the wrong way, its just i’ve dealt with that kind of eating problem and i think i just got a little crazy. I admit that i definetly judged you way too quickly and ranted about something i have a lot to learn about. I’m very sorry that i hurt your feelings and I hope you can accept my apology.

  18. Zaineb on December 4, 2009 at 8:12 pm

P.S. I am actually a fan of the blog (ironically enough)and again cannot express how sorry i am that i commented the way i did.

  19. Lauren on December 4, 2009 at 8:12 pm

Sorry to hear about all of the blog drama! Ugh, you know, I guess you have to expect those negative comments, but it still does hurt to hear that people are saying those things.

Hope you had a fantastic night to make up for a crummy day. 🙂

    Take care girl!

  20. Laura J. on December 4, 2009 at 8:33 pm

Boo for mean people! But yayy for a sweet hubby who knows how to cheer you up. 🙂

I’m so envious that you’re seeing New Moon again! I haven’t had the chance to see it yet and I’m dying too!

I am a nutrition professional…keep doing what you’re doing girl…love your blog. I am however looking to be a personal trainer, would like like to coordinate the two. Don’t let others sway what your doing. I know your being true to your self, that’s why I read. Keep it up! 🙂

  22. tieghan on December 4, 2009 at 9:53 pm

    How do you spiralize zucchini?

  23. Meg on December 4, 2009 at 10:16 pm

Hi! I’ve never responded before but I’ve probably been reading your blog since soon after you started it up. I love love love indian food but had never tried baigan bharta until tonight. After seeing you eat it time and again, I knew I eventually had to try it and I’m so glad I did, it’s delicious! I try something new almond every time I go out for indian and baigan bharta is hands down my favorite dish so far. I only feel bad because I basically have to mutter when asking for it because I don’t know how to pronounce it correctly. Do you have any idea of the correct pronunciation?

  24. fittingbackin on December 4, 2009 at 11:49 pm

    aw pretty roses!! Love!

Plagiarism? Mean comments? boo – i’m sorry!

  25. Katy @ These Beautiful Feet on December 4, 2009 at 11:57 pm

At least you got pretty roses?? And boo the mean comments, people with too much time to waste by trying to make other people feel bad. You’re great, don’t let that nonsense get to you. 🙂

  26. Jessica @ How Sweet It Is on December 5, 2009 at 12:18 am

I only make smoothies with frozen bananas! Love them. Also, Gina dear, since you share my love of Bailey’s, did you know they make Irish Creme Hershey Kisses now?!?!? I posted some ‘Bailey’s’ cookies on my blog. They are soooo yummy with a side of Bailey’s. 🙂

  27. Alice on December 5, 2009 at 6:05 am

I thought the definition of an eating disorder included that it made the sufferer… you know… suffer. You’re no victim, lady. You enjoy life too much.

  28. julie on December 5, 2009 at 9:10 am
