Favorite things giveaway: barre3

Today’s giveaway is extra special because EVERYONE is already getting a sweet gift from barre3: 15 days of free unlimited online classes!! To redeem yours, click this link and enter the code “barre3fitnessista”

As you guys know, I’m a huge fan of barre workouts. I love all of the various types, teach weekly barre classes, and also seek out new and beloved studios when I travel. My good friend Kate owns the Tucson barre3 studio (go say hello! She is the sweetest ever, and then she’ll make your legs cry) and I love take classes when I get the opportunity. Barre3 is unlike traditional barre classes. Many of the exercises are similar, but there is a mind-body element to Barre3 (a yoga, Pilates and barre lovechild), and they have a holistic approach to health and wellness. barre3 doesn’t end when you walk out the door; I feel that they truly support and encourage their clients with overall health, balance and wellbeing. In addition to the classes, they provide support for mamas with their Play Lounge (Liv loves it!), and also offer healthy recipes, tips and advice through their website.

To stay balanced during the holidays I always make sure to start my day with a workout. Whether it be something quick or a body pump or step class I have found that it helps me start my day on a good note!

I’m going to do a 30 minute total body workout as a study break today – it’s exam period for me, and I find that doing at least a HIIT workout a day and making time to chat with my little sister a couple of times a week keeps me balanced during this crazy time 🙂

I stay balanced by finding time for me. With this busy time of year and all the holiday parties I find time for myself by taking a barre3 class, taking my dog for a walk and cooking seething healthy. Finding that balance also includes eating healthy and with all the holiday parties I stay balanced by cooking all my meals ahead of time during the week so that I can enjoy a less nutrional meal on the weekend.

  41. Caroline on December 8, 2014 at 9:15 am

I try to stay balanced during the holidays by making time for myself everyday. Even just a half hour of a workout, a cup of tea and time in silence or even painting my nails! Everyone needs to keep centered on themselves during the crazy holiday time.

  42. Caroline on December 8, 2014 at 9:16 am

I also follow you on instagram! and I plan to do the barre3 legshaper tonight!

Barre3 Camas/Vancouver classes help me maintain balance, will transition to online workouts when I travel to a city without a studio over Christmas

  44. pam on December 8, 2014 at 10:33 am

Love Barre3! That’s what keeps me sane during the holidays, (and throughout the year, too!). I’m psyched for the free trial. I love to have friends do the online workouts with me!

  45. Amy on December 8, 2014 at 10:52 am

I lost my Mom last year on December 13th, so this year, getting through the holidays with a smile is somewhat of a challenge. I’m breathing deep, surrounding myself with things that remind me of her, and sneaking lots of snuggles in from my husband and our 10 and 12 year old daughters.

  46. Holly on December 8, 2014 at 12:31 pm

The way I balance is through the “crowd out” method of planning to eat soooo many good foods (that are tasty), there simply isn’t room for junk. This is a tip from one of Sadie Lincoln’s nutritionists.

  47. katy on December 8, 2014 at 1:00 pm

I LOVE Barre3! It was the only thing that kept me sane leading up to our wedding this summer 🙂 One thing that helps keep me balanced is healthy breakfasts–at least that way I know that I ate healthy for one meal and started the day off on the right foot! Awesome giveaway, thanks!
