Fitness Fashion Friday + fall stuff

Hi! Hope you’re having a lovely Friday! Keep those giveaway entries coming and thank you so much to all of you who have answered the blog survey so far <3

It’s Fitness Fashion Friday aka this new thing I’ve started on the blog. (Last week was the inaugural edition.) I’m not sure how long it will live, but it’s fun for now. This was inspired by Cupcakes and Cashmere’s weekly wardrobe (which I look forward to every week!) but instead of glam and polished, it’s a little slouchy and sweaty. I love getting new ideas for fitness clothes and gear from friends, so I hope you enjoy it! Here’s what the past week looked like:

Saturday: ZUMBA!

Zumba clothing

(Zumba tank top, harem pants and Reebok sneaks)

SUNDAY: OFF

MONDAY: BODYPUMP

(after teaching my first class ever! It was a huge challenge, but a ton of fun. Definitely sweaty beast mode afterwards. Reebok tank, Les Mills Reebok crops and ZQuick sneaks)

Cute outfits, Gina! I was just out in Vancouver running the Lululemon Seawheeze half marathon. I’ve done it for all 3 years that it’s been around and each time, they create a line of Seawheeze-exclusive gear that can only be purchased at the pop-up store at the race expo. This year was the best by far in terms of variety of styles and items, and as you may have guessed, I bought tons of them (spend ALL the money!!!!) They’re super cute though and fit really well. I think I need to cut myself off on fall workout clothes now!

I just bought a cute pair of dark purple Lucy capris…I think they’ll look great for fall! Hoping to wear them to boot camp, yoga and maybe to run in, too!

You are werrrkin’ those harem pants! Actually, this is the first time I think I’ve ever seen harem pants look good, and now I’m really tempted to see if I can pull them off with my massive berdonk!

Cute, cute, cute! You totally rock those high top sneaks! Love ’em! I’d love to get some more Les Mills gear from Reebok for teaching my BodyPump classes. I’m also loving the new September Fabletics catalog. I got a little sneak peek and it’s pretty awesome!

Ohh! I like them zumba outfits. <3 I usually attend zumba classes once a week and I always use either one of my two sports shirts and one pair of leggings. :))

Love all your workout outfits! I bought a few pairs of zella leggings and capris at the Nordy anniversary sale this year. Love them! I’m also loving Lorna Jane lately and there are a pair of capris I want to buy but they are pretty see through…. Maybe I’ll just get them to run in. Crossfit and yoga would definitely be out! ha!

Super cute! I LOVE Fabletics and seeing some of their sneak peaks for September, I might have to allow myself a splurge after a few months without. 😉

I just arrived home from running the lululemon seawheeze and bought way to many items at the seawheeze exclusive store the day before the run …..always bad timing bc then they upload fall items only days later …….but I’m also starting to really like Athleta if only they had a store in Canada bc I love there crops

Hi Gina! I really like these posts. I’ve noticed you wear shorts to teach spin. WOW! I’ve never been comfortable in anything other than bike shorts when on the cycle. But then again, I don’t EVER take any sort of cycling class anymore. I’m definitely into mesh leggings this fall, but haven’t purchased any yet. Have you gotten a regular BODYPUMP class on the schedule yet at your gym? How many times a week do you plan to teach? When I started teaching BP a few years ago, I did two a week, which was great, for a while I upped it to four a week, and that was WAY too much. Now I’m down to one a week, and combined with my other classes and individual workouts, it seems to be the best for my body. Okay! Have a great weekend!

    • Fitnessista on August 30, 2014 at 11:18 am

hope you have a great weekend too!! after i finish my cert, i’ll be doing one class a week. i don’t want to overdo it with zumba, barre and cycling

  16. Cassy @ Wine & Dine to the Finish Line on August 30, 2014 at 11:03 am

Love those fabletics leggings! They have another pair that has diagonal mesh cutouts above the knees that I REALLY want, but they’re always out of stock 🙁

  17. Lori on August 30, 2014 at 4:26 pm

I love workout clothes! Why must we wear anything but stretchy leggings? 🙂 Hey, I wanted to take a look at the squat challenge, but when I click on the “workout with me” link, all it says is coming soon…. Any ideas why I can’t see it?

  18. Jess on August 30, 2014 at 5:39 pm

I just ordered some cute workout tops that were on sale at Target—it’s been way too long since I’ve re-stocked.

  19. Alex @ True Femme on August 30, 2014 at 7:38 pm

I love those mesh leggings and the purple barre top! I just bought a ton of new workout clothes for Pure Barre that I’m so excited about (Splits59 and Kadyluxe–aka the softest, sexiest fabric I own!)

  20. Nour @ GreenShushi on August 30, 2014 at 9:02 pm

Love those harem pants! Workout clothes are so dangerous for me! I can’t stop buying them. But I think they totally help to motivate me to work out, So I say it’s worth it!!

  21. Jess on August 31, 2014 at 8:58 am

Love your first Zumba outfit the best! All good though! What a fun post!

I caved and got the camo Lulu wunder under and am in love!

    • Fitnessista on August 31, 2014 at 6:43 pm

      they are so cute!!

  23. Laura B @ FitMamaLove on August 31, 2014 at 6:23 pm

I think these posts are so fun! Just curious–were all your workouts classes that you taught this week? From what I’ve seen in the past, it seems that’s unusual for you, but you have a great mix of classes that you teach, so it looks nicely balanced. I’d like to eventually get certified in teaching something other than Pilates, so I can teach more often and still get a good workout in without needing to squeeze in too many of my own.

    • Fitnessista on August 31, 2014 at 6:43 pm

yep! usually i love to get in an orangetheory class or two, but i didn’t want to overdo it since pretty much all of my classes were active

  24. Lucy on September 4, 2014 at 9:47 pm

Hi Gina! I must say this, you look gorgeous in whatever fitness clothes you are wearing. I’m sure your fitness students love the way you style and the way you teach them. Keep it up!
