Friday Faves

Hi friends! Happy Friday! How’s the morning treating ya? It’s been a great day so far, and I can’t wait for the weekend. Any fun new years plans? Let’s see if I can stay up until midnight. #partyanimal

I’ve been working hard behind-the-scenes for preorders of the revamped PBB original and the NEW advanced plan, which starts on Monday. (Everything launches on the 16th.) I’m so excited to share these with my postpartum or expecting friends out there! I’ll also be running an online accountability group to help you reach your 2017 goals. Spaces will be limited for the group – stay tuned for all of the details!

For now, let’s get into the usual Friday Faves roundup. It’s always fun to share some of the things I’m lovin’ from the week, and to hear what’s making you smile. Please join the party in the comments section if you’d like!.

A bath….

TBH, I’m not really a bath person. #1: no time, #2: water wasting, #3: lemme shower in the 3 minutes I have and get it over with. But, I killed my back the other day -it had been too long since I’ve Zumba-ed- and thought a bath would help with the aches. You guys. It has jets!!! They felt amaaaaazing on my sore back and totally like I was in a jacuzzi. I read a book was like, “Ok, this is why people like baths?” Definitely going to become an occasional indulgence around here.

(Ps I’m still making my way through Alignment Matters and loving it. I ordered two more of Katy Bowman’s books to read when I finally finish this one. It’s long -5 years of posts- but I love to read a few posts here and there.)

Breakfast at First Watch. First Watch was one of our favorite breakfasts spots in Orlando, so we were STOKED when they bought out The Good Egg. (Which had turned into The Mediocre Egg over time.) They have a great selection of healthy and indulgent options. I saw the coconut milk chia pudding on the menu and knew that was what I wanted. It included blackberry preserves, fresh fruit, granola, and lightly sweet chia pudding. P went crazy for it. It also had salted almond butter toast, and I ordered a side of scrambled eggs. Perfect.

A great reminder to simplify childhood.

Why presence is the greatest present.

Tips on breaking up with sugar.

These scalloped flats (similar on sale here). They were in my latest Stitch Fix and are super comfy.

Tips on what to eat before, during and after a workout.

45 gifts many of us begged for back in the day. These made me so nostalgic! I had wayyyy too much fun with that Talkgirl.

New post on the family page here.

P hanging out in the dryer chair (don’t worry, it wasn’t turned on).

Happy happy Friday!

I totally forgot about my Pocket Locker! Also, a friend and I scared our moms to death with my Talkgirl. We put our voices on slow and made them think that they were being robbed. I swear, I wasn’t really an evil child, haha!

Haha The Mediocore Egg! I used to go to the one on River all the time when I lived there. I haven’t been the new place since they bought it out. There’s one across from my gym and I always think one day I’m gonna treat myself to a “fancy” breakfast after a hard morning workout. Happy New Year friend!

I am a bath convert!!! I love them now but used to feel the same way as you about time, efficiency, waste, etc. It’s such nice way to treat yourself! I highly recommend ordering some bath salts from Sue at Something Special. They are the BEST!!
