Friday Faves

Hey hey hey! Happy Friday! How are you? What’s going on this weekend?? I would say that it’s our last weekend in Tucson, but technically Liv and I won’t even be here; we’re headed to San Diego to say one more “see ya later” to our amazing friends out there before we head across the country. I’m so pumped to dive into a poke bowl, enjoy that fresh California air and sunshine, and spend some time with some wonderful friends. It will also be a nice treat to do something fun just with Liv. It’s been a while since we’ve had a date with just the two of us, and I have a feeling this will make up for it.

Some other fun things on the menu: attending a pop-up dinner from my brother Kyle (it’s guaranteed to rock my face off) and the obvious not-so-fun thing: finishing packing, cleaning, planning, blah. It’s hard to believe that one week from now we’ll be back in the South. While I have to admit that the move has had me filled with dread for the past few months -mostly because I love being around the fam and saying “bye” to them makes me so sad- I’m starting to actually feel excited for some things in Valdosta. I’ve connected with a few friends and fellow mamas out there who have been so wonderful and welcoming already – it definitely gives me something to look forward to.

In standard Friday fashion, here are some faves from the week and around the web! I always love to hear what you’re enjoying, too, so please shout it out in the comments below if you’d like to join in the fun.

Peds office

(Standard pediatrician antics. Liv is singing a song while I’m trying to convince P to please stop touching the floor.)

Im not going to spell check this

Spending time with Tom’s mom this past week! She loves Tucson, too, so it was so much fun to take her to some of our favorite spots. Madre and nana met up with us one beautiful morning to check out the Botanical Gardens.

We also enjoyed some great meals + relaxing here at home.

Things no one tells you about being a military wife.

Thank you to Class Pass for featuring my tip for healthy eating in this post!

Livi must have grabbed my phone the other night, and when I found it, I was greeted with so many random pictures of the house, a blanket on the floor, selfies, and feet.

Livs feeties

Can’t wait to try this apple cider vinegar chicken.

Blooming tulips.

Barre classes are torture (but I keep going). Same same.

These cute little protein muffins look delicious.

This was amazing.

Any sandal with an ankle wrap. These ones are similar to the ones I’ve worn every day this week.

So much realness.

I took over the Sleep Number Instagram page yesterday! Check out my posts here for some tips on better sleep. (We all know I have this intense sleep obsession haha.)

A date night at North with the Pilot. We were trying to decide where to go, and decided on North since it’s one of the fallbacks for delicious food and wine. It’s ALWAYS good, and I swam in cheese board, gluten-free pizza, kale salad and Malbec.

Date night

(It makes me laugh when we put on real clothes for a date and Liv is like, “Mama, why do you look so fancy? Why do you look so nice?” She rarely sees me in non-athleisure these days.)

I hope you all have a happy Friday and a great weekend!
