Costco apple chips. I would show you a pic of the bag, but it’s long gone. They only have one ingredient (apples) and are certified organic and also GMO-free. So good.

THE SCANDAL COLLECTION at the Limited. I can’t even handle the gorgeousness, but it’s not exactly realistic for my lifestyle. “Welcome to BODYPUMP! Please ignore my blush peacoat as we deadlift.” I’m especially obsessed with this cape.

Speaking of clothes, the Shopbop sale is right now (code: FAMILY25). These leggings may need to happen.

Not that I needed more reasons to love Ina Garten.

3-6-9 oil and flax-rice-hemp milk. I picked up the 3-6-9 oil after my Mountain Trek trip as a way to add healthy fats to my smoothie. It has a pleasant mild taste, and is an easy way to add a boost of nutrients. I also picked up the plant milk at the co-op since they didn’t have cold almond milk and I figured it would be fun to try something new. I’ll definitely get it again!

23 problems only yoga people will understand. I forgot my towel last time I went to hot yoga.. it was a terrible mistake.

Science proves you love your pet like a baby.

Zombie apocalypse workout.

Book of Life is coming out!! Anyone planning to see it?!

I’d love to hear what you’re loving this week <3 What are you up to this weekend? Any fun fitness plans or events?

xoxo

Oh my gosh! I love the Scandal Collection at the Limited! I bought a couple of pieces for the office as a pre-post baby treat for myself! I’m obsessed!

I do love my cat like a child! He’s a part of our family!

Love your comment about the pea coat! Too funny. Enjoy the weekend!

  5. Christine@ Apple of My Eye on October 17, 2014 at 8:01 am

Ohhh I love that cape! Unfortunately, I live in southern California so we’re a bit lacking on the seasons you usually wear em during 😉

Hi Gina! Happy Friday! I’m teaching BODYPUMP tonight and BODYATTACK tomorrow, as usual, and going to a few nice SF restaurants with my hubby and friends. My favorites today include some new leggings from Lulu, which are not even for working out, as well as some new Keds. Can’t believe Keds are cool again, but I love them. Have a good one:)

I love that they have a Scandal line at The Loft! What a great idea. Lots of super classy pieces and outfits. But yeah, totally not practical for my current lifestyle! Ha. I’m lucky if I get jeans and a cute sweater on! 😉

I’m going to an RPM initial training this weekend! I’m stoked!

  8. Alex on October 17, 2014 at 8:09 am

A SCANDAL clothing collection? That’s so crazy! I had a co-op I loved frequenting in Pittsburgh. I need to find one in Richmond- it’s so much fun trying new products and local finds. That milk sounds delicious. We are going to the pumpkin patch this weekend. Not sure if we are going to carve or paint them! Have a great weekend!

  9. Brynn on October 17, 2014 at 8:16 am

Nothing from the Scandal collection fits into my lifestyle at the moment, but I want to get something just so I can channel Olivia! Haha!

  10. Carrie on October 17, 2014 at 8:20 am

I’m pretty sure there are currently no GMO apples approved by the USDA. In fact, I think the only GMO fruit or veggie (And when I say GMO, I don’t mean the billion years of cross-breeding) is the Hawaiian papaya, some zucchini and sweet corn varieties.

    Ah, marketing.

  11. Emma @ Life's A Runner on October 17, 2014 at 8:21 am

I am absolutely obsessed with anything even remotely apple related, so I can’t believe I have never tried apple chips! It’s horrifying, I know. This weekend is all about the studying and running! Not too much exciting stuff going on there, but sometimes I like it that way. 🙂

  12. Crystal on October 17, 2014 at 8:33 am

Love the pic of your little garden helper! Hope you have a happy and fun weekend! Mine will include work (boo) and butternut squash soup (yay).

  13. Megan @ Skinny Fitalicious on October 17, 2014 at 8:43 am

That is hilarious about deadlifting in the pea coat! Love it! I need a few new things. I should check it out. Love all your succulents too. They’re gorgeous!

  19. Anita on October 17, 2014 at 9:46 am

I’d heard about the Scandal collection, but hadn’t yet checked it out– oh my gosh it’s BEAUTIFUL!

Also that picture of Livi made me smile! Her little shoes and bun! She’s such a cutie.

    Always, Anita

Loooove apple chips! I’ll have to find some. Costco has some great organic snacks!!!

  21. Jill on October 17, 2014 at 10:11 am

Loved the articles about Ina and how we love our pets like babies! Great, fun reads for a Friday.

  22. Angela @ HonestlyAngela on October 17, 2014 at 10:13 am

I am not sure I would have been brave enough to try that milk but it looks interesting. My favorite right now is leggings. They are so great for fall layering and super comfortable!

  23. Amber @ Busy, Bold, Blessed on October 17, 2014 at 10:23 am

I’m MOVING this weekend, ahhhhhhhhh! Crazy excited but also feeling a bit anxious. Looking forward to actually getting it done.

    Happy Friday 🙂

  24. Tracy on October 17, 2014 at 10:43 am

Loved the 23 yoga problems! So true! Just forwarded it to my yogi friends.

After obsessing over Olivia Pope’s wardrobe all through Scandal I was so excited to see the Limited’s collection. I especially love the black & white sheath dress!

    Have a great weekend 😉

  26. Kay on October 17, 2014 at 10:57 am

Ugh, that yoga list is my life.

I have this constant inner back and forth. “I want the instructor to fix my form. Oh god, but if she touches me she’ll realize that I am literally soaked in sweat. Do I want her to touch me, do I not?”

    • Fitnessista on October 17, 2014 at 3:16 pm

      hahaha!! same way!

  27. Tina on October 17, 2014 at 11:16 am

I have yet to watch Scandal…I know, I should jump on the bandwagon, huh? Livi watering your plants = adorable! Her shoes are really cute – I wonder if they make them in adult size? Happy Friday!

    • Fitnessista on October 17, 2014 at 3:16 pm

right? it was one of those things i’ve bought her and secretly wished i could get a pair haha 😉

  28. Aneeta on October 17, 2014 at 12:14 pm

This week I’m loving Lulu cotton roll down wunder-unders–they’re so soft and comfy; Steve Madden black suede boots; and this adorable youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enu6GFQPJ4o.
Could do you a wrap-up of your fitness from the week? I’d love to see what you’ve been up to lately and how you’re balancing all of the classes you teach. It’s helpful for me at least because I’m in the process of figuring out getting certified as an exercise group fitness teacher and seeing how balance your workouts are really helpful!
    XOXO

  30. Jessie on October 17, 2014 at 5:23 pm

I love Ina! She is my favorite celeb chef, definitely asking for her new cookbook for Christmas! Livi watering the plants, too cute!

  31. Lizzie on October 17, 2014 at 6:10 pm

My favorite thing about Ina Garten is the fact that she is a huge booster for Planned Parenthood. I was an extra proud fan when I first learned that.

    • Fitnessista on October 19, 2014 at 6:19 pm

She’s practically perfect in every way 🙂

  32. Sam on October 18, 2014 at 3:13 am

Love the pictures of the adorable dogs! I’m recovering from surgery this weekend (and the next few weeks) and I’ve been resting in the hospital since Thursday passing the time reading your blog, and my other favorites. Thanks for keeping me entertained : )

    • Fitnessista on October 19, 2014 at 6:18 pm

Aww sending you lots of healing wishes!!!

  33. lian on October 18, 2014 at 1:05 pm

My latest fitness adventure? I finally tried Y7 Yoga in Brooklyn! It’s like yoga in a beautifully dim, candle-lit room and they put on some cool beats during practice 😀

  34. Vicki L. on October 18, 2014 at 6:52 pm

In reference to that yoga article – trying to go into headstand from tripod and you end up doing a somersault . 😉

  35. Sarah @ KS Runner on October 20, 2014 at 8:24 am

Ina Garten used to drive me crazy then at some point I just fell in love with her and now can’t get enough!

I have a desk job so I can wear the Scandal collection without looking crazy. I set a reminder on my phone the day it came out so I wouldn’t forget to get in some Scandal shopping right away!

  36. Kristen on October 20, 2014 at 8:39 pm

I took my 4 year old daughter to Book of Life on Saturdsy night and it was great! The music was so fun! My daughter fell asleep the last 30 minutes due to a popcorn and m&ms sugar crash but she was talking about the movie in the morning. We saw the movie in 3D. Pretty neat experience as my daughter reached out into the air trying to grab things… Hehe… You should totally take your daughter.

    • Fitnessista on October 20, 2014 at 9:50 pm

were any parts scary, or not so much??
