Give me three

Hi friends <3 Hope you’ve had a lovely day.

Mine was a DOOZY. We had service training at the resort, so I learned about our level of guest service and other knowledge tidbits today. I really enjoyed the class, but it’s so hard for me to sit still for 8 hours.

The good news is that the trainer encouraged us to get up and stretch when we needed to, they provided coffee, bagels, healthy cookies and macaroons (which were to diiiiiieeeee for, but mine win) and brought toys for us to play with.

I had the green play doh:

and made the most awesome [ghetto] snowman.

Recent eats and treats:

Smooooothie

smoothie

(I took a before picture since I’ve been posting the same smoothie for the past 3 days.. it’s so good though)

Lunch + snacks

lunch

-organic grapes, blueberries and a plumble jumble

-quinoa crisps with PB and cinnamon

-a teff tortilla with a crumbled Sunshine burger, ketchup and Dijon

I also enjoyed a chocolate chip cookie and two macaroons at work.. they were perfect for a mid-afternoon pick-me-up.

Salmon bites:

bites

Love. [You can find those beauties in the freezer section of many health food stores]

So during our training today, we had to write down 3 things that make us “us.”

I didn’t think they’d be read to the class (of course they were) and that everyone would have to guess who wrote what, but here are my three:

1. Passionate about health and fitness

2. A good friend and

3. Goal-oriented

It was definitely hard to pick 3 things — I could have picked girly, caring, organized, etc. (one of my friends wrote “legit” haha) but those are the 3 I rolled with 😀

What would your 3 things be? I always like to hear more about all of you 😀

I’m going to let me brain unscramble and then head to Zumba 😉
See ya in the morning with a Reader’s Request post!

xoxo

Gina

    Ohhh, three things? Hmm:

    1. Loyal and loving (I know, that’s two things! I cheated!)
    2. Equally devoted to fitness and food
    3. Total nerd ; )

    Three things to describe me:

    1. Work
    2. In
    3. Progress

I’m constantly changing myself (hopefully) for the better. Constantly growing, learning from experiences, and enjoying life one day at a time, but also making mistakes.

When I first saw the title, I thought you were going to tell us you were having triplets! Haha! 😛

My three would be independent, perfectionist, foodie.

  5. Katelyn @ Chef Katelyn on June 22, 2011 at 8:14 am

Uhhhh majorly drool-worthy. Especially those salmon bites. YUM

I also thought the three had something to do with your baby as well!! whew, triplets would be a lot!

As for three things about me:
Take-charge (read: too bossy for my own good), excited, and versatile!

  7. Morgan @ OperationHotMama on June 22, 2011 at 8:43 am

3 things is very hard…I had to do this in a training sesh as well, but it was amped up with 2 other questions!!
    1. love to learn…especially when it comes to health and nutrition
    2. (this is me pausing for a few mins to think of the other two haha) I don’t wanna be ordinary; I wanna be EXTRAordinary!
    3. I follow my dreams!

My three would be loyal, determined and genuine. I’ll be your friend forever, I won’t quit until it’s done and with me, what you see is what you get. The older you get, I think the harder it is to narrow it down to 3 – since by the time your my age, you really do know yourself. I have diversity training here at work for the next three hours, brutal – I can’t imagine a full 8! Take care and hope you are feeling good.

    That’s a tough one!

    1) Disciplined
    2) Honest
    3) Active

Active meaning I can never sit still! It drives my husband nuts. We will sit down to watch a TV show together and suddenly I’m up to fold laundry, or paint my nails or check my email. It’s hard to turn everything off, isn’t it? 😉

    Question about the vitamix 🙂
Have you ever used it as a juicer? I saw a vitamix demo at Costco this weekend and the woman said it can
be used as a blender/juicer/food processor. Is that true? Or is that a kind of sales gimmick? I was sold just reading about it online, but after the demo I was totally hooked! If only my hubby could see the amazingness of it. Lol

What kind/brand of juicer do you use/prefer?

    Thanks bunches!

I got asked the “3 words that describe you” question in a job interview! Unfortunately, I was a little too honest, and they weren’t impressed by my answers! Here’s how I’d respond these days.
    1. Positive 2. Motivated 3. Honest

we use that trick when branding businesses at work, but we use 5 normally. I’m smart, fun and aware. My daughter is cute, clever and creative. She wrote about that here: http://www.thespiritedwoman.com/go_blog_blog_blog/2011/05/my-mantra-came-from-my-lunch-box.html
