I want to swim in guac

Hey everyone! HAPPY WEEKEND! 😀

Sorry for going MIA on ya yesterday. I was frantically trying to pack for Ft. Lauderdale and had a training appointment before Ashley and I got on the road.

Lunch was a haphazard yet delicious event.

Salmon bits with mustard

happy skull

Roasted zucchini and eggplant

zucandeggplant

I dropped Viessy off at the kennel –she LOVES it there!- trained funny quotes lady and we started our drive to civilization.

I brought the crack

crack

(single serving packs!! Sawweeeeeeet..especially since I could eat a whole box full)

and we stopped in Orlando at Bass Pro Shop (for an xmas gift), which I’d never been to before.

Neither had Bella, and they let me take her in and walk around with her! She was so happy

bellinbasspro

We dropped Bella off at my auntie’s casa, then stopped at Chipoddle for some dinner

burritobowl

Vegetarian burrito bowl with lettuce instead of rice, black beans, grilled veggies, pico, hot salsa and double guac.

Their guac is so fresh and decadent. I want to swim in it 😀

We also grabbed some Bizzle for caffeine since it was a late night driving:

holidaycup

Tall ginger green tea. I love the Bizzle holiday cups! 😀

We finally got here around midnight and I slept like a baby in my Westin Heavenly bed:

Ashley is going to an esthetics show today and I’m going to take a yoga class, shop, work on the other website and just enjoy being in civilization 😀

The pool is beckoning to me as well 😉

Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday and I’ll see ya tonight with a re-cap of the shenanigans 😀

xoxo,

G$

You picked a great weekend to be in South Florida. The weather is so beautiful and breezy right now! Where did you find those single serving packs of Mary’s? I could eat the entire box in one sitting, so I could really use those. 😉 Enjoy your weekend, and I hope you get to go to Sublime for dinner!

    • Fitnessista on November 7, 2009 at 10:02 am

i got them at the health food store! very exciting because i have no portion control whatsoever when it comes to the full boxes 😀
i’m going to look at sublimes website right now and see if maybe i could get take out for lunch after yoga!

      • Fitnessista on November 7, 2009 at 10:04 am

and i just saw that i’m on THE SAME STREET super close to sublime, chilling at barnes and noble 😀 it looks like they’re only open for dinner though so i thinking hot bar for lunch and hopefully ashley will want sublime for dinner too 😀

        • Jessie (Vegan-minded) on November 7, 2009 at 10:41 am

Great! The hot bar at that Whole Foods is pretty good. Sublime used to be open for lunch years ago, but now it’s just dinner. Enjoy your day of good eats. 🙂

  9. Leslie on November 7, 2009 at 10:16 am

i love guacamole!!!! Always get scared to eat too much because of the calories and fat!!! But they are so good for yoU!

    • Fitnessista on November 7, 2009 at 10:19 am

i used to be scared, too, because of the high fat content. then i learned about healthy fats and started putting avocado on everything 😀

  10. Mama Pea on November 7, 2009 at 11:00 am

How DO they make that guac? It is unreal. Mine is never that rich and creamy. And how do they get it to stay so green?

I hope you enjoy every second of your glorious weekend!

  11. Janna (Just Flourishing) on November 7, 2009 at 11:17 am

I want to swim in that guac too, it looks so good!

So jealous of your lovely weekend getaway! Have fun!

  12. fittingbackin on November 7, 2009 at 11:25 am

  13. K on November 7, 2009 at 11:50 am

That bed looks so fluffy, I want to dive in right now (I’m so tired)! I hope you guys enjoy your weekend getaway 🙂

  14. Kristie Lynn on November 7, 2009 at 11:57 am

Seriously, the Chipotle in Madison is so stingy with the guac! I ask for double guac and I get half of what you have in that picture, if that 🙁 Happy for you though; guac is wonderful 🙂

  15. leslie on November 7, 2009 at 11:59 am

Yes!! So good! Put a half of one left over from the other day in my salad!! Amazing! So good! Girls, I’m trying to lose these stubborn last five pounds!! AHH!! Staying strong though. Any tips would be appreciative! You inspire me!

  16. Katie on November 7, 2009 at 12:02 pm

I had that same bowl at Chipotle last night! 🙂

  17. andrea garcia on November 7, 2009 at 12:10 pm

    Hi Gina!
Could you post how you dehydrate your eggplant to make it like bacon? I’ve been looking EVERYWHERE FOR IT, and alot of sites add various ‘extras’ that I don’t want to use….
LOVE reading how your days are going – enjoy FL! WOOP IT UP!ha!;)

  18. mmclaughlin on November 7, 2009 at 12:20 pm

Don’t you just love Westin hotels?! They are my favorite. I always try to stay in them if I can, no matter where I am. The heavenly bed is exactly that! And I didn’t try guac until I got married, and now I can’t get enough of it. I make my own all the time, and I get so frustrated when the grocery store doesn’t have avocados. :o)

    • Fitnessista on November 7, 2009 at 2:29 pm

they’re my favorite too! westin, loews or sheraton are always a good bet 😀

  19. Holly on November 7, 2009 at 12:46 pm

Hey girl! I am a Ft Lauderdale girl, welcome! Sorry it’s not that gorgeous of a day out today, the wind kinda makes it a not so great beach day. But if you want to do some retail therapy, head to The Galleria mall, you won’t be disappointed! Definately not like the Valdosta Mall (trust me, I know that sad mall, too! ewwww) Enjoy your stay!

    • Fitnessista on November 7, 2009 at 2:29 pm

i’m on my way there noooooowwwww! wahoo 😀

  21. Shelby on November 7, 2009 at 1:27 pm

Single serving sizes?! That is so awesome! Finally a healthy cracker to-go instead of those digusting 100-cal packs. Bleh. I still haven’t tried Mary’s Crackers but I will soon. Hopefully I can control myself around the box. I’m with you on the no portion control thing!

It’s been far too long since I’ve had chipoddle…mmm.

  22. Paige (Running Around Normal) on November 7, 2009 at 4:18 pm

Mmm I got Chipotle today too. I have no idea how they get their guac so good, but it’s amazing!

  23. Erin @ Living and Loving In L.A. on November 7, 2009 at 4:26 pm

My Shiba loved the kennel too, but now my family has a Chihuahua and we could never leave her there!
I love guac so much. It’s delish. I wonder if we could put out a plea for someone who works there to secretly give us the recipe?!?!?!?

    • Fitnessista on November 7, 2009 at 6:33 pm

SERIOUSLY 😀 i would be making it all the time!

  24. Des on November 7, 2009 at 4:46 pm

oh! reading this post has reminded me of something i’ve been meaning to ask. i’ve recently developed a crazy obssession with mary’s gone crackers!! (what a tragedy, right?) i know you to be a fellow crack(er) addict so i’m curious as to which flavor is your favorite.

    have a great weekend!

  35. Jessica on November 8, 2009 at 6:52 pm

G$ !! Have you tried any of the other crackalicious Mary crackers?? I’ve got a box of the onion flavor in my room and just adore them!! Reminds me of an everything bagel!! YUM.

But Sseeing your holiday starbucks cups make me soooo happy! I really need to buy myself something from there soon, so that I can properly get in on the holiday spirit….right?? 🙂

    • Fitnessista on November 9, 2009 at 8:44 am
