My Favorite Kind of Wizzle

Hi guys 🙂 Happy Sunday!

Last night, I was kind of a bum….and it felt glorious. My cousins and aunt and I watched Father of the Bride (the first and the second), gabbed and chillaxed. Driving on road trips sucks the life out of you, so it was very nice to chill 🙂

I snacked on some edamame:

edamame

And then we headed to the giant Targizzle to buy things we don’t really need (Target is a sneaky trickster) 😉

I’ve decided that a Starbucks determines whether a Target is going to be baller or not. As you can probably guess, ours in Valdizzy doesn’t have a Bizzle or grocery section. Just the bare bones kinda stuff. I ended up not going too crazy because we’re going to the mall on Monday, but did find a supercute new headband 😀

After that, we went to my favorite kind of Wizzle.

My aunt and I shared the edamame:

And I got the standard:

(Kid’s teriyaki shrimp add vegetables, steamed instead of fried, brown rice, no sauce)

It was everything I could ever wish for 😀

Fortune:

Sounds ok with me 😀

Well we’re off to the beach and then going to church but I hope that you all have a beautiful Sunday spend with those you love (miss you, pilot). If you celebrate Easter, have a very Happy Easter <3

xoxo,

Gina

The best Targizzles are the super ones–have you been to one? We have them here at school in NC but not back at home. I have never in my life gone in for less than an hour. True story.

Wishing you and the puppies a really nice Easter. Hope the Easter Bunny is good to you and brings you lots of carrots and some good dark chocolate! Never been to a “super” Target . . . must make a point to find one and go. I did, however, make the trek to Ikea yesterday – 2 hours away . . . my husband just loves the “cartevators” there. Bought a few things for the kitchen. Probably a good thing it’s so far away – I would go broke.

    Take care,

    Mo

I have to agree with the Target observation. An added Starbucks = added awesomeness. That place is DEF a sneaky trickster. It’s like I walk in and suddenly *need* a million things!

    Love Pei Wei, happy Easter!

  9. Erica on April 4, 2010 at 10:21 am

I have never been to Pei Wei! Got to try it!

Happy Easter, Gina, have a fantastic time in FL!

Pei Wei is awesome. Agreed. I also agree about Targizzle being a sneaky tricker!! Happy Easter!

Just wondering, why do you order the kids meal? Considering you already make so many modifications, that seems extreme 🙁

    • gina (fitnessista) on April 4, 2010 at 11:59 am

Have you seen the portion sides at pei wei? They’re extremely large. A kids size is actually a good size portion of brown rice (about a cup and a half?). I don’t like to pay more money for a crazy amount of food

      • D on April 4, 2010 at 2:38 pm

I wasn’t attacking you, I was just curious! And no, I’ve never been to eat there so I don’t know. Without knowing those kinds of details, it just comes across like you’ve ordered a tiny childrens meal. Can’t blame me for wondering!

        • gina (fitnessista) on April 4, 2010 at 7:44 pm

No worries, girl. Its hard to tell from the pic but it was still a very satisfying portion- I left full and with a food babay 🙂 its pretty much the only place I’ll get kid’s sizes at 🙂

    What a great fortune!

I had a lazy night in lastnight, too, and loved every minute of it. I caught the tail end of Father of the Bride on tv. I love that movie!

Awww I love Viesa with the bunny ears!

Once again, I love how you change your order to make them more healthy (and a little more appetizing too)!

I’ve never had a super great experience with the Starbucks in grocery stores unfortunately! They can’t make any of the drinks I like. 🙁

    • Fitnessista on April 4, 2010 at 8:50 pm

      thank you!

  17. Diana on April 4, 2010 at 11:50 am

    Happy Easter! 🙂

  18. Angela @ A Healthy Fit on April 4, 2010 at 12:40 pm

I find that going to Target with the hubs keeps me from buying at least $80 worth of things that I didn’t even go in there for. Oh, Target, how I love thee!

  19. Run Sarah on April 4, 2010 at 12:42 pm

Happy Easter Gina, hope you have a wonderful day!

  20. Kelly on April 4, 2010 at 1:42 pm

Happy Easter! Glad you have time to relax with family and get the important things done (aka shopping 😉 ).

  21. Morgan @ Healthy Happy Place on April 4, 2010 at 2:25 pm

aww love your puppy’s headband! so precious! happy easter to you, too.

  22. Susan @ Journey for Health on April 4, 2010 at 3:07 pm

I am in total agreement about the Target quality. In my city, there is ONE Target. No Starbucks in it. 🙁 I went home (San Diego, CA) last summer and we stopped by the Target nearest my parents’ house and I was amazed that there is a Starbucks in it. Total jealousy ensued for the next 10 minutes until I left the store (I had just stopped by to use their restroom because they are on one end of a mall)…but wow. I want to go back home to live. I totally feel you on your Valdosta frustrations. Corpus isn’t a large city and it does NOT have the amenities…

happy easter. Glad to hear you are relaxing!

    Happy easter….love the bunny ears!

  26. whitney @ whitinspired on April 4, 2010 at 4:55 pm

Gah I love edamame…I could eat it everyday. And Target is sneaky isn’t it?!

  27. LisaG on April 4, 2010 at 6:23 pm

Hope you had a Happy Easter enjoying the family.

  28. Gloria on April 4, 2010 at 6:44 pm

I agree, does anyone else make a ton of changes to the menu and then order a kiddy portion?

    • gina (fitnessista) on April 4, 2010 at 7:40 pm

      Hey gloria,
I almost never order kid’s sizes but the entrees at pei wei are huge (you can see online that each entree is two full servings)- a kids size there just makes it a normal herfty portion. I hate to waste food, and pay more money for it when I know I won’t be able to finish it

  29. Jessica @ The Process of Healing on April 4, 2010 at 7:50 pm

    Awwww cute puppy!!
    Happy Easter!

  30. Heather (Heather's Dish) on April 5, 2010 at 12:05 am

pei wei seriously has the best steamed rice…the perfect texture!!! sounds like you and i had the exact same movie day yesterday…i watched the first and the second father of the bride (and then watched my wedding video in between). ’twas glorious!
