Pilot’s Day Off

Hey! Happy Monday <3 Hope your week is off to a great start.

I’m a little later than normal with today’s morning post, but the Pilot took the day off work, so we’ve been hanging out. He has a ton of leave saved up (92 days, some of which he’ll lose if he doesn’t use), so he figured he’d take a long weekend and use a day of leave. I’m a fan of that 🙂

He went into work to take care of some paperwork for an hour, so I hit up the base gym.

Did some cardio,

got my little station set up

weights

and did the Ferocious Arm Workout I posted last week. Instead of doing chest presses on my back, I did them angled with the stability ball, and also used the stability ball under my shins for the push-ups – otherwise my belly would touch the floor.

Topped it off with 25 right leg lunges, 50 squats and 25 left leg lunges, it was a great little workout.

Breakfast was courtesy of the Pilot, who makes way better omelets than I do 😉

bfast

Toast with jelly, along with an amazing omelet:

-1 egg + 2 egg whites

-almond milk – he always adds this to eggs and it makes them so much fluffier

-goat cheese

-mustard

-spinach

-dehydrated tomatoes

I had some local orange tomatoes that were on their last leg, so instead of letting them die a slow death, yesterday I popped them into the dehydrator with some oregano, garlic and sea salt.

tomatoes

They came out rather nicely.

I also finished the Naked juice we shared on the way home from base:

Wish away, little Bell.

We actually don’t have a ton planned for today, but I have some work stuff to get done. I’m sure the Pilot will have no prob relaxing in the meantime 🙂

Enjoy your Monday and I’ll see ya later today <3

xoxo

you are so unbelievably cute! i’m reading your blog from France this semester, it’s making me salivate for gf goodies but it’s also a lot harder to find a gym with weights and machines, so your workouts are amazing for me! merci 🙂

thank you! it’s quite the place, truly. it’s wonderful to be able to walk everywhere though, such a blessing! and if you’re looking for boots, i’d say come here. i die a little every time i walk by the million shoe stores and can’t go in!

    Hey Gina,

JW if you could do another post on how you have adapted your eating habits and living with your H. I’m a nutritionist and love all foods that are healthy, esp vegetables. My H will hardly touch anything green and loves anything that will clog your arteries. I’m having a hard time cooking for us both without making 2 separate meals.

    • Fitnessista on September 26, 2011 at 9:14 pm

i haven’t, but many times i do end up having to separate our meals. it’s not too bad once you get the hang of it

Oh those little tomatoes look great! I never think to use my dehyd for things like that. I always just use the oven. But I love sun dried tomatoes and the chewier factor. I need to remember this one 🙂

Glad you and The Pilot had some quality time together…yay for extra days off!

That sounds like a wonderful workout, Gina! 🙂 Seriously, it’s awesome how fit you are keeping while carry your baby – so inspirational! I love it when you post weights workouts as it gives me (a relative newbie with weight training) loads of ideas. Your omlette and dehydrated tomatoes look gorgeous – what a fantastic kitchen gadget the dehydrator is! I’m commenting a bit late, but hope you had an amazing day with the Pilot! <3 xyx
