Some Memorial Day Weekend Pics

Hope you all had a beautiful and relaxing day! We spent the morning camped out at the beach -and took our breakfast there for a little picnic- and then met up with Whitney and her family for lunch at OB Noodle House. My camera ended up staying in my bag all day, which was probably a good thing since I was soaked in seawater and covered in sand for most of it 😉

Some pics from the rest of the weekend:

We took my mom and nana to Point Loma Seafoods for lunch one afternoon because a bird on the street said they have the best calamari.

We also took a trip to see our seal friends.

The one on the bottom right popped his head up for the photo,

and then told me he wanted to come home with us.

Hi, Firstly – Love your blog!!
This is a really random question (I tried to find an email to contact you but must have missed it somewhere!!) but I’m going to be doing some backpacking this year and would love to keep up my workouts (a mix of strength and running is my preferred choice) and would love some advice on what kind of kit to pack that won’t take up too much room. I’m a Brooks and Reebok girl myself but my Brooks running trainers are quite bulky. Plus who doesn’t love nice new shiny workout gear?!?!

Point Loma Seafood is pretty much the happiest place on earth. It’s a little Soup Nazi-ish the first time you go in if you don’t know the system. I’ve been known to stop there and get a crab sandwich to go before getting on the plane.

    • Fitnessista on May 27, 2014 at 5:03 pm

yeah i was a little intimidated at first (how do you order? what is happening?) but it wasn’t bad at all. it was crazy busy and the service was FAST. i’ve heard the crab sandwiches are amazing!!

      • Alana on May 28, 2014 at 4:04 pm

I also was going to suggest you try the crab sandwiches, they are AMAZING! My grandma lives in SD so every time we head out to visit (a few times a year) a pit stop at Point Loma Seafoods is compulsory. That calamari looks amazing, too!

ok, it’s happening next time. last night we went to get fish for dinner and tom was like “we should just eat here instead” 🙂

Liv’s a human bib for your cute dress!! haha! Looks like a fun weekend 🙂

OB Noodle House is the BEST. I haven’t been there in far too long!
