Virtual wine date

(this early in the morning? Let’s just roll with it haha)

Wine 1 of 1 9

If we were having wine right now, we’d probably have to be in Little Italy. I’ve only been once and am already obsessed; can’t wait to go back. And the REAL Italy. I think/wish about going back every day. The urge is real, friends. We’d have to get some margherita pizza to share with our wine, too. 🙂

I’d want to hear about what you’ve been up to! How’s the end of summer going for you? How are the fam, kids, fur-kids, job, life? I always love to hear about what’s going on and what you’ve been doing.

I’d tell you about a couple of exciting things: my first eBook (“Build Up Your Blog”) should be live today (I’ll post the details, but it will initially only be $9!) and I’m looking forward to an upcoming trip to British Columbia. I’ve never been to Canada, but already know the scenery will be exquisite.

If we were having wine right now, I’d tell you about “the twos.” They’ve been trying over the past week, but things seem to be on the ups (knock on wood). Also, teething: apparently it never ends, haha.  I’d also probably tell you about something especially cute Liv did yesterday. In her yoga class, after savasana, the kids take turns ringing a small bell and say how they feel. It’s very sweet, and usually the responses vary along the lines of “I feel peaceful,” “I feel kind,” or “I feel happy.” Livi’s response for the last two weeks: “I feel Nani.” Nani = my nana, Livi’s great-grandmother, and is the epitome of kind, peaceful and happy. It’s my goal to “feel Nani” (or at least demonstrate a small portion of the love, energy and endless patience she has) on a daily basis.

Re: fall TV, I’m SO stoked that Scandal is just around the corner. Also, I guess The Mindy Project comes back tonight? Never seen it, but mage it’s time to start.

I’d want to hear about fitness events, and likely ask you to go paddleboarding or take a class with me. I’ve been fortunate to have three blog friends in my classes the past couple of days!

Do you have any fitness events on the horizon? Any intentions that you set for yourself each day? And lastly, red or white? 🙂

Have a wonderful day and I’ll see you later <3

xoxo

I’d tell you how stoked I am for Scandal too – and yes I did just go to C&B and buy myself an Olivia Pope wine glass to drink Los Alamos Malbec out of while watching. 🙂

And “the twos”….oh they’re fun over here too. I read “The 5 Love Languages” for kids, and it has helped IMMENSELY. I learned – well confirmed – that Tripp’s is quality time so if we’re having a day over here, I know I need to throw my to-do list out the window and just get down on the floor with him and play. It reeeeeally makes a difference.

I’d ask you your secret to balancing all of this! I’m so grateful to be able to stay at home with my babies and super pumped to have gotten my coaching business off to a fantastic start, but holy moly my head spins some days haha.

AND unrelated, but I think we’ll be at the SD Zoo on Monday. 🙂

Red or white wine, Gina?! It’s like you’re asking me to pick a favorite child! 😉

No fitness events per se, I’m doing “intuitive exercising” (kind of like intuitive eating) to feel out what I’m enjoying. When I do prescribed routines I tend to get married to my workout, so this is just a phase to see what I’m in the mood to do rather than what I think I should be doing.

It hasn’t affected the amount I exercise each week, just the types of activities I do each day. Oddly enough, I think I’m sprinting faster on the 1-2x days a week I do HIIT – maybe it’s the whole ‘listen to your body’ thing; I’m choosing days I really want to do it and so I have more stamina to go harder?

Lately over here: I’m really into the show ‘Masters of Sex’ – Lizzy Caplan and Michael Sheen are so good in it!

    Cheers! 🙂

    Red! 🙂 And it’s only 10 am 🙂

I will be going to Israel and Spain in November for 2 weeks. Will relax and try out different CrossFit boxes and do some great beach workouts – can not wait!

Love this post! I’m running a 10k in Santa Barbara this weekend with 2 of my roommates. It’s my first race ever and my only goal is to run the whole thing without stopping to walk. I’m looking forward to cooling down a bit in SB as this heat wave in LA is INSANE! Not sure if you’ve been hit with that in SD but it’s no joke.

Also, definitely red – especially if there’s dark chocolate involved!

The yoga studio I go to is extending a summer outside class series that was started with two other studios in the area, they are having a class this saturday at a park right near my house. I love practicing outside. Also, Nani = my heart melts with the cuteness that is!!! How wise 🙂

Gina – I love this idea! I’m a contributor for a getting out of debt site. If I say that I saw this post and link back here to give you credit, do you mind if I use the whole “wine date” (“coffee date”) idea? I loved this post and want to mimic it’s style (obviously using my own words).

Awesome that you’re coming to Canada. I live in the next province over…would be cool if you visited these parts some day!!

I’m not excited to read your challenge with ‘the twos’ and never ending teething. My little guy turns two in a few weeks and he’s already been challenging with his epic tantrums.
