WSU 2013 Week 1 Giveaway- P57

Thank you so much to those of you who have been checking in, sending me your awesome pics and sharing the workouts with your friends! You are already ROCKING out this challenge, and I’m even more excited and thankful to provide virtual high-fives and prizes along the way.

The lucky winner of today’s giveaway will receive the ability to try one my all-time favorite workouts: Physique 57. P57 offered one of their Volume 1 kits (3 DVDs) + a ball, so you can feel the fiery thigh torture at home. This is especially amazing because P57 isn’t offered in many cities, so if you don’t have a studio near you (I don’t, and wish I did!) you can still do the workouts.

When you finish Workout #1 for the second time today + your tempo work, leave a comment below to let us know how it went. Did you feel stronger this time? Use more challenging weights? How’d you do the tempo work?

For the 15 minutes of tempo work, sustain a quick steady pace and then increase it in the middle of your workout. Maintain that for as long as you can (at least a few minutes) before taking it back down to your “usual” pace.

Couldn’t do tempo because it was raining. Did HIIT again – forgot what a sweaty workout it is! Upped my weights on the chest press from 10 to 20. Good times!!

Whew, I was still sore from Monday, but I rocked it out! Sweaty mess at the end of the workout! 🙂

This round was way easier, because I knew what to expect! Next time I’m upin’ the weights.

I felt MUCH stronger after this workout. Maybe I was just tired on Monday morning? I used heavier weights, and did the circuit 3 times instead of 2. For the tempo work, I ran on the treadmill. I do tempo work when I train for half-marathons and they always guarantee a sweaty experience! Thank you for working so hard to make the WSU possible!!!

Love this workout! I am a runner but wanted to switch things up a bit. My legs are SORE so I know I woke up some muscles that have been sleeping!! Eating super clean!

Loved the workout and got a nice run in with it today for my race training. Thanks Gina!

Woo! Did three rounds of workout 1 after a four mile run. I’m not sure I have ever been so sweaty in my life. FYI: If you bought those heather grey Old Navy compression pants, they show sweat like you wouldn’t believe. If you were at the gym with me this morning, I’m sorry.

Got my second workout in last night! I changed my schedule a little since I am also fitting in training runs! Had to go easy on the legs in this second workout, but still felt like a GOOD sweaty mess afterwards!

Mixed in the workout with a 3 mile run. It was great.

Still sore from the first Workout 1, mixed it up with HIIT & Steady today and was amazed at how sweaty I was for FAR less time on the cardio equipment! Loving it!

I’ve never felt so un-coordinated AND liked it all at the same time. *LOL. This workout is very differnt that what I normally do but I like it! Works a lot of different parts. The planks with tucks and reach are really hard! Wow. I look foward to actually doing them BETTER next workout! Getting more confident and stronger. Got my Tempo workout in on the treadmill with incline and speed adjustments. THANKS Gina!!!

Finished the second round of Workout #1 and did tempo work on my bike trainer. My bottom and quads hurt so bad, but I pushed through. Thanks for keeping me motivated!

  15. Joy on January 31, 2013 at 10:51 am

I mixed it with a spin class holy sweat and holy dead body!

  16. Nicole on January 31, 2013 at 11:16 am

Did workout 1 for the second time this AM at home, planning on doing cardio tonight after work at the gym! Thanks, Gina!

Rocked work out 1 again — though had to go easy on the squats because of the fiery burn I’m still feeling from Monday. Yowzer. Thanks so much for doing this Gina — I can’t rave about it enough!

I responded to a different post today, but I’ll do it again today, because I would love the prize! I’m always working out at home, so this would be perfect. I’m also very very interested in barre workouts, and it looks like that is incorporated here? I’ve done a few health routines, but the pacing is always better when I follow else along.
The workout 1 was still challenging for me. For tempo, I did 60 minutes on elliptical. I know this plus my yoga was a little overkill, but I got a teacher day off (hurray) and my husband was at school so I felt inspired to really hit it! So I did!
