15 minute restorative yoga flow for crazy times (video)

This is an at-home yoga practice you can do when you just need time to center yourself, improve circulation, and tackle the rest of the day. It’s a slow, juicy, restorative class and only lasts 10 minutes. All you need is a mat and a bolster (or folded up towel).

Hi friends! How’s the morning going? I hope you’re having a great day so far. I wanted to apologize for taking a few days off the blog last week. I needed a couple of mental health days and am feeling refreshed and back in the swing of things. We got Liv’s back-to-school plan and packet and it’s a hefty amount of information sort through and important decisions to make. It’s just a lot to process.

For today’s post, I wanted to share a yoga practice that you can do when you feel overwhelmed and need to stop. This has happened to me a lot over the past few months. The mental to-do list looms over me, I feel dread and worry about the future and unknown, and feel like I need to stop, drop, and stretch. If the girls are playing with toys or watching a show, I might sneak upstairs for a quick meditation session or stretch on the floor. In less than 15 minutes, I feel remarkably better.

Here’s what this yoga flow to unwind looks like:

And here’s a 15-minute restorative yoga video you can use to unwind during the crazy times:

Stop, drop, and take 15 to stretch and move with meeeeeee.

Leave a comment and let me know how you’re feelin’ these days. <3 Hope you’re hanging in there and if you’re feeling scrambled and stressed, I’m sending you a big hug.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!

I’m so glad you were able to take a few days off for your mental health! I can imagine what you’re going through with the stress and uncertainty of the upcoming school year. I’m not a parent, but I am a school librarian and our district just announced we are starting the school year virtually for at least the first month, but none of us have any idea what that will look like, and school starts in like 3 weeks, so…that’s fun. We’ll get through it!

P.S. great yoga flow, and if that was you signing at the end, you have a beautiful voice!

While I enjoyed this yoga vid alot, I think if it were a 20 min spot instead, it would give more time for the stretches/poses and make this yoga sequence so much more effective and enjoyable. Thanks for sharing.

I did the flow just now and I have to agree with the comment above that there needs to be more time. I felt very rushed between moves. Before I could get into the pose you were already heading into the next one. It left me frazzled. I did like the poses that you choose! They were the ones I needed!
