Make New Blends

Hiiiiii 😀 Happy Saturday! Hope you’re having a great morning <3 Thanks for the shopping encouragement yesterday. I’m gonna keep looking but may have to purchase the Express dress anyway 😉

Last night, I had an AMAZING dinner with new blog friends (= blends)

us

Kiran, Jackie, Katy, Kelly and Me

We dined at Cedar’s, which is one of my Orlando faves– they have incredible Lebanese food and hummus that will melt your heart

cedars (2)

Holler to Jackie for being my wine buddy 🙂 We split a bottle of Cabernet.

wine

The wine glasses at Cedar’s are magical.. you drink a little and it refills on its own 😉

The table shared a plethora of appetizers:

Fluffy, freshly-made bread and hummus

cedars hummus

Spinach pie, falafel, baba ganouj, tabbouli, chicken kebab, olives, yogurt sauce and a special Lebanese walnut spread that Nick (our amazing server) brought us to try

(x12? Haha)

Katy and I also decided to bust out with the bellydancer:

dance

(Proof: I still have no clue how to use my camera)

And then somehow, we ended up here:

desserts

Seasons!

We played “musical desserts” – take a bite and pass it on 🙂

I had so much fun hanging out with the girls! Can’t wait to see them again soon 🙂

This morning, I’m off to Dance Trance with Jenny, who’s driving from Gainesville to go to Veg Fest with me. Can’t. Freaking. Wait.

See ya later today with the re-cap!

xoxo,

Gina

Gina, how would you recommend adding goat products into my diet? I’m currently vegan, but I’ve dabbled with the idea of trying integrating goat products for health reasons. I’m afraid that if I do it will be hard on my stomach, so I’m wondering if you have any advice?

I love Cedar’s! I took my boyfriend there for his birthday with some friends a few years ago and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. A perfect place to get to know new blends!

Photo tip: Use the flash when you’re trying to catch an action shot in a dark room. You need to have a fast shutter speed to catch the action clearly, which means you need another source of light.

That dessert tasting looks fabulous. I always drool over the Seasons 52 food that bloggers post!

I want to play musical desserts, drink wine, and bust out moves with the bellydancer! It looks like SUCH A FUN night!!!!

I hope you and Jenny have a blast today at Veg Fest! I have been to a few veggie fests over the years and they are so cool, they recharge my batteries that being a veg/vegan/plant-based is fun and that other people do it too 🙂 Not that there’s any shortage in So Cal, but ya know, kinda like what a blogging convention will help me do in…2 weeks! Recharge and recenter 🙂

I am going shopping today for cocktail dress attire…wish me luck. And I wish you luck finding something!

    🙂

gina, i’m curious to know … how do you all usually split the check when you’re out w/several people and some drink alcohol and others may not. i know everyone has their thoughts on it and i’m always curious to know how others handle the situation. do you pay equally or ask for separate checks. i usually just go w/the flow.

    • Fitnessista on October 23, 2010 at 9:43 pm

i always go with the flow. last night we split it evenly between us and then jackie and i bought the desserts at seasons since we drank wine at the restaurant… it all worked out perfectly 🙂
