I love that pic of you and Livi–so sweet! And can you post that salmon recipe?? I actually have some fresh salmon I got from Whole Foods the other day I’m planning on making tomorrow. That loooks delish. Are those orange slices?

    • Fitnessista on February 10, 2013 at 10:27 pm

      yep orange slices.
i put the salmon in a ziploc bag with fresh orange juice (1/4 C ish), orange zest (1 T), maple syrup (1 T), tamari, grated ginger (1t), salt, cayenne and garlic- marinate all day in the bag in the fridge, or overnight
pan sear and then bake for about 20 min at 375 (topped with orange slices and a little more tamari)
let me know what you think!

Your weekend pics look very similar to mine! I feel like I used my food processor a million times (although I made almond meal and guacamole) and salmon and salads. YUM!

Oh my goodness this was the best food post! I am so inspired for the new week.

Do you ever buy frozen salmon or always fresh? I am always on the fence about frozen seafood.

    • Fitnessista on February 11, 2013 at 12:51 am

      :)!
i always buy fresh, which in arizona, there’s a 99% chance it was previously frozen. so i don’t think it matters too much as long as long as it looks good

I love it when my little boy falls asleep on me! He loves being put down for his naps so it rarely happens but when it does…priceless. Love your dress too, makes me want to get dressed up and have a night on the town! I woke up early before my boy this morning and made it to the gym to do some cardio:) Winter shape up is making me do things I never thought possible lol
