I usually don’t include words with my pics from the day, but a couple of things:

-Anyone awesome at photo walls? I’m thinking of adding a 5×7 (horizontal frame.. and pictures, haha) and painting the “H” brown, but let me know if you have any ideas!

-The snack mix above is my latest obsession. You can find it at World Market, it’s gluten-free and I make it my mission to seek out all the star cracker pieces first…

-Tonight’s workout consisted of reading a magazine in the hot tub. Sometimes it’s gotta happen.

-Livi and Bell are officially friends, which makes my heart happy 😉

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! See ya in the am with the Schweaty July Workout <3

Livi is such a doll; she gets more beautiful every day. Love the picture of her with Bella. I always enjoy your “pics from the day” posts – thanks for sharing!

I am so glad I found this blog! It helps seeing how someone lives daily life to the fullest, and to realize it can be done. Instead of just going through the motions of day to day life, you’re always setting goals and always trying to improve physically and mentally. Self-actualization at it’s best! It’s also a reminder to me to be thankful for what I have in life right now, and to make the most of it every day.

Love the all the pictures! Livi is getting so big!

The picture wall is so cute! I would paint the H an accent color that will pop that goes with your decor. Maybe red or another sassy color that wouldn’t blend in but also won’t look too crazy? Just an idea. Can’t wait to see te finished product!

ohhh i like that idea! thank you!

      • vicky on July 9, 2012 at 6:17 am

I was going to say the same thing…. a color that pops, but also runs through most of the photos in some way and compliments the brown frames! i love a goldy bronze, eggplant purple, or silvery gray with brown tones… so pretty!

The pic with Liv and Bell is sooo adorable! I love Liv’s little elephant outfit. Cuteness overload. 😀

Does that one picture have blue? Maybe paint the H blue. Definitely not brown. I love that your two kids are getting along.

  7. Karen on July 9, 2012 at 1:18 am

You two made one seriously PRETTY little person!

  8. Averie @ Averie Cooks on July 9, 2012 at 1:20 am

Gina the pic of you and Livi is just awesome. I hope you’re saving some of these (I know you probably think they’re just quickies but save them – you will look back in a few years and be so happy you did!) – you two just look fabulous!

  9. Emily on July 9, 2012 at 1:23 am

The picture of you and Livi is precious!

I’m actually working on creating a photo wall in my room right now. They’re so much fun. I think I would paint the H a brighter, accent color. Something that makes a statement against the other, more neutral tones. I can’t wait to see the finished product!

I wish I could help with the photo wall. It took me two years to actually put together the KIT of wall frames. Isn’t that terrible? Hope you show us the results of yours!!

Livi’s pictures are the best. She looks like she’s either reaching her arms towards you (hug me, mama!) or she’s trying to grab the camera to take your next “pics from the day.” 🙂 Oh, and hot tub workout? A definite must.

Gina, take to Pinterest for photo wall ideas. I found the cutest ideas on there and some great tutorials for hanging everything (help for the Pilot?)! Ours turned out awesome, thanks to the awesomeness that is Pinterest. Happy hanging 🙂

I would go for less uniform edges on the wall. Right now it’s seems the top and sides are all lined up exactly and that symmetry tends to take away from the effect of a collage wall. Instead it draws the eyes to the borders and you see it as one large picture instead of a gathering of pictures. If you google image search collage wall you’ll see how the less perfect the boundaries, the more designer it looks and less DIY. Layering pics is another great effect, as well as hanging objects (I have a little hand painted dish that held our rings for the wedding hanging on our collage wall) Here’s a great example of a wall showing less perfect alignment: http://cdnimg.visualizeus.com/thumbs/15/43/wall,frmes,frames,photograph,collage,wall,treatment,home,interior,design-1543f273913414ebd135f49571129ab3_h.jpg

Livi and Bell are soo cute together! And I love your idea for a picture wall, those always look so nice!

  14. Whitney on July 9, 2012 at 6:46 am

Gina im not sure if you have Kroger where you live or if they are decent their, but the ones in my city in Georgia are very nice and the same bhuja mix is in the organic section with all the other crunchy goodies 🙂 but if you really are adventerous you can get a huge bag at an indian store.

I love picture walls! Here are my suggestions for change:
1.) I agree to paint the H a bold color.
2.) Put one of the long frames on the inside of the collage so its not one at each end.
3.) Put the H somewhere else. When I glance at that right now I see “HOT” (which is fitting because y’all are a good looking family for sure) then with G and O put with it, I keep thinking hotdog. Haha Wierd. I know.
4.) Make the edges a tad more jagged. It’s a little too perfect.

That pic of you and Liv is gorgeous! You look so pretty and Liv, well, I could just die looking at that little doll. And I’m glad she and Miss Bella are friends now. Now that Livi is eating, Bell figures she should probably get to know her real well! So cute.

Such adorable pictures! and so happy to see that Liv and Bella are friends! I’m sure they absolutely love each other now 🙂

Gina, your photos lately (say the last month or so?) having been having trouble loading on my computer. Each post seems to have 1-5 that just show up as blank images. I have a fast internet connection so I don’t think that is the problem. I use Google Chrome, for reference. Just FYI!

    Looks like a lovely day!

My Dad used to do design work, and he taught me to lay the photos out on the floor first to make up your arrangement. You can usually easily shift things around that way until you get it just right, and then transfer the arrangement up onto the wall. Good luck with it!

check out pinterest for great ideas about photo wall layouts! lots of great ones 🙂

I love the letters on canvas– where did you get those? And I’d like to go ahead and agree with everyone above: Liv is just gorgeous!

The picture of your daughter & dog is adorable! My boyfriend surprised me with a maltipoo puppy three weeks ago. The poodle in her is very mischievous & feisty; I love it. And Pinterest has some great wall photo layouts.
