Hey everyone! HAPPY FRIDAY!

I’ve got a seriously amazing giveaway to kick off the weekend….

Remember this cookbook that I got (and have been experimenting with a little this week)??

011

I talked to Sarma, founder of One Lucky Duck and co-founder Pure Food and Wine, and she has graciously offered a Fitnessista reader a signed copy of her new cookbook!!!

This cookbook is outta control amazing. The recipes are easy to follow, don’t require a ton of obscure ingredients or fancy schmancy equipment and demonstrate that raw food doesn’t have to be complicated to be beautiful and delicious. It also includes a boatload of information on nutrition and the raw lifestyle, yet reads like an email from a good friend. I read the book in it’s entirety within 2 days.

It’s also a feast for the eyes with stunning photos…

Recipes for juices….

013

Salads, soups, snacks and impressive entrees….

014

Cocktails and desserts….

015

Are ya sold yet??? 😀

Here’s how you can get 2 chances to win this beautiful cookbook:

  1. Leave a comment stating why you’d like to win this cookbook and/or what you’d like to make first if you win
  2. Link back to this post on your blog and send me an email (fitnessista at gmail dot com) with the link to your post. If you don’t have a blog, no worries, just send me an email and I’ll get your extra entry in

I’ll post the winner at 8am EST on Monday, July 13th

***************EDITED TO SAY: This giveaway has ended as of 7/13/09 0800.

See ya after lunch and work 😉

I would love to win this book, because I recently returned from NYC, where I fell head over heels for Pure Food and Wine, as well as One Lucky Duck. I practically dined there for every meal (I was there a week). Therefore, having some of the recipes would be amazing. I would make one of Sarma's ice cream recipes first. Abosolute heaven…thanks for the giveaway!

I would like to win this cookbook, because I would love to add more raw options to my everyday recipes. I could possibly try one of her chocolate dessert recipes first, maybe the one in the picture above. Thank you for this great giveaway!

I would love to win this cookbook because I love cookbooks!!! I love to be in the kitchen, it is very relaxing for me. Eating raw was new to me in May of this year, and now I am eating raw until dinner. With a book like this, I would definitely make raw food dishes for family and friends!

  20. EJacks on July 13, 2009 at 9:38 am

I'd love this book! I've been trying to eat healthier and experiment a lot with what we eat. This would be a great way for me to incorporate something different into our meals.

  21. lilveggiepatch on July 13, 2009 at 10:43 am

I would LOVE to incorporate more raw foods into my diet. Unfortunately, her restaurant and cafe are a little too pricey for me right now, but I would love to be able to create her dishes from home! I'm especially excited about that vanilla chia pudding you made.

  22. Pirawna on July 13, 2009 at 8:52 pm

I would love to win this cookbook because raw cooking has tempted me back into the kitchen after years losing touch with making my own food.

I have heard about the oyster mushroom calimari and I would love to try that out.
