A Last Minute Christmas

Hi friends Smile

How are you?

So…

last year, our tree went up the day after Thanksgiving.

This year, my tree is made out of rosemary

and we’re just now putting up my mom’s tree.

Last year, our Christmas shopping was done way ahead of time. It was mostly an Amazon and Omaha Steaks Christmas, but everything was wrapped, shipped out to the fam and ready to go.

Um, I started Christmas shopping an hour ago.

Wish me luck.

I’m fueled with espresso and chocolate covered almonds.

Be sure to check back in the AM for a very special Pilot guest post!

Don’t feel bad about procrastinating on Christmas shopping. My best guy friend did the same thing. I almost had to go with him! Haha.

I was an early bird with getting decorations up and presents bought/wrapped. Years past, however… not so much. Merry Christmas!!

  3. Pam on December 23, 2010 at 8:16 pm

Hey, we bought some of those almonds a couple of days ago too…lol! Mmmm!

  4. Sana on December 23, 2010 at 8:17 pm

Good luck!!! Although I know I have found that things will get done and there’s no reason to stress. Sounds like you are having fun with it all and that’s what matters. 🙂

  6. Ashley on December 23, 2010 at 8:22 pm

Yeah, my mom hasn’t done hers and she just had a few glasses of wine, so I guess that’s not happening.

I just finished mine yesterday… I am very very good at procrastinating!! 🙂 Good luck finding all the things you need and love for your peoples!

I think things got messed up for you with the unexpected move. Have fun shopping. I am sure you will meet lots of interesting people when you stand in those long, long, long lines.

This is the first year I feel absolutely “prepared” for Christmas. In years past I was usually shopping on Christmas Eve — but it was kind of fun running around the mall like a maniac 🙂

“fueled with espresso and chocolate covered almonds.”–
the only thing to add would be a glass or two of champagne. Present wrapping a la tipsy style would be the most fun I think 🙂

Have fun wrapping! I was prepared so early for Xmas b/c we always go away in Dec. I am just ready for the 24th so Santa can come. That’s the true JOY of being a parent: Xmas morning and Santa!

  12. Leah @ Why Deprive? on December 23, 2010 at 8:52 pm

Sometimes I like doing things last minute. I specifically left a couple little things until today just so I could hit the mall at the peak of the craziness.

Christmas really did sneak up this year so it’s understandable if you’re just now putting the tree up! Many people do it Christmas Eve anyway. 😛
