Hi guys!! How’s your almost-Friday been??

It’s been a really good day so far. Nothing crazy has happened, but just filled with all things that are *good*

A fabulous breakfast date Smile

A sweaty RAD sesh (3.5 miles) followed by a tasty Larabar:

(In the bag: Vega, netbook, wallet, protein + shaker, A New Earth on CD, which I love so far! Much easier to listen to than read)

getting the hairs cut:

(Why is it humanly impossible to get my hair that straight at home?? Frizz free makes me so happy)

A wonderful chat with my madre <3

Conference call

and a belly full of delicious eats.

Some of the highlights:

Smoooooothie:

-1 pack Vega smoothie infusion

-1 t spirulina

-1 C almond milk

-1 C frozen mango

Cullen juice with carrot apple beet and GINJAH! (<— you have to yell it, with an English accent.)

juice

Raw lettuce wraps!

-1 small tomato

-1/4 onion, small diced

-1/2 orange bell pepper

I’ve eaten a lot of raw foods today! It feels pretty good Smile The plan was always to get more back into it since I have access to more ingredients (!), but I’ve been waiting to get into a routine with work and life. I think I’m there Smile

What’s been *good* about your day??

See ya in the morning with the deets on an upcoming Bridal Bootcamp Smile

xoxo,

Gina

I quit trying to get my hair straight since Sophomore year of high school (7 years). Just not worth it anymore. At least my hair does well curly!

I met Jo-Lynne from Musings of a Housewife today for lunch! Always fun to meet a blogger IRL. Totally a better part of my day. But it has to compete with a free vodka tasting tweet-up up later so…we’ll see.

    Pretty placemats 🙂

It’s always nice to hear about another’s good day!

  4. Kate on October 14, 2010 at 7:45 pm

My day has been good because its Thursday….which means the weekend is closing in! (ANd tomorrow is the 15th which means payday!) And I had some delicious healthy farmer’s markets treats for lunch today.

  5. Whitney on October 14, 2010 at 8:02 pm

I ran 6 miles today. That’s the most I’ve ever ran at one time. It felt pretty freaking amazing!

  6. Sarah on October 14, 2010 at 8:04 pm

If you have never tried a CHI hair straightener I highly recommend getting one. I’ve had mine for over two years & it still works like it’s brand new & gets my curly hair very straight.

  7. Megan @ Healthy Hoggin' on October 14, 2010 at 8:08 pm

Yes, frizz-free hair is the best! Have you tried the CHI hair straightener? It was a life-changer for me! (I have super-curly hair, which means frizz-central!)

I’m trying to get back into more raw foods, too! I feel so much better when I eat that way!

  8. Sheila on October 14, 2010 at 8:13 pm

Chi ceramic hair straightener and Paul Mitchell Skinny Serum gets my frizzy/curly hair pin straight!

I can rarely get my hair to look like when my stylist does it. So frustrating!

  11. holly @ couchpotatoathlete on October 14, 2010 at 8:15 pm

My day has been good because I made an awesome pumpkin french toast casserole for tomorrow morning and my house smells amazing!

I buy the products from the salon I go to and I can never get my hair to look as good as they do it. Do you mind me asking if that is your natural hair color?

  26. hippierunner on October 15, 2010 at 1:49 am

Best thing about my day has been my breakfast! Haha, not like my day went downhill from there but the rest was just kinda eh. I had a beautiful neon-green (spinach!) bowl of smoothie with granola! It was amazing.

  27. Cyndi @ Weightless Life on October 15, 2010 at 7:36 am

Those lettuce wraps look yummy. I always find raw food to be so refreshing to eat, but I feel like it doesn’t fill me up. I’m not sure why.

  28. EMC on October 15, 2010 at 7:41 am

I just have to ask…. is that a GLASS shaker bottle???

Oh and what was good about my day? All the good quotes that come out at work. For example, one of my students told me today that, “Mrs. T got in my nose. She stressed me out.” It was REALLY hard not to laugh at that one.

  29. Rebecca on October 15, 2010 at 8:07 am

    • Fitnessista on October 15, 2010 at 4:27 pm

on the top left there should be somewhere you can enter your email address?

  32. Jes on October 15, 2010 at 10:21 am

I had the frizz problemo also. I use a salon straightening spray because i find the store bought ones just dont work as well. I was using a straightener that only got up to 395 degrees then bought one that got up to 430. It made all the difference in the world. now i can get stick straight at home. =)

  33. Jessica@tastyandtrim on October 15, 2010 at 11:01 am

I love ordering lettuce wraps when I go out to restaurants like PF Changs. Now I can whip some up at home! Thanks for the recipe and your hair looks great 🙂

  36. sophie on June 17, 2011 at 1:29 pm

    Hi 🙂
I have a question about spirulina – when it is added to smoothies (like the one above), do you taste it?
(The smell of it worries me…so I had to ask)
    Thank you <3

I literally just pulled the cookies out of the oven and they are amazing! !! I’m a huge fan of the cookie in general and I’m so excited about this recipe. Thanks!
