Back in Zumba action

Zumba, how did I miss thee? Let me count the ways:

zumba

1. The loud music made my heart sing

2. It felt good to bellydance sans a giant belly

3. Sometimes a girl’s gotta shake her booty to a wicked reggaeton

and the list goes on.

My friend Melissa taught class, and even though I’m still a little weak and noodle-y as far as cardio goes, it was amazing to dance. I’m excited to take classes more often and fully get back into it until I start teaching again in a handful of weeks.

After class, I came back home and we met up with some friends at Guadalajara Grill for dinner.

Liv had a friend at dinner, too!

friends

Only a week apart, and they hang out all the time. The bonus about Guadalajara Grill is that it’s loud and very family-friendly- no one gave us the stink-eye for bringing babies to dinner.

It was a great night, with fabulous company <3

We’re spending our Sunday morning with the fam, and then grocery shopping, running errands, and making pizza for dinner.

Have a relaxing and beautiful day!

xoxo

Hi Gina, did you have a tortilla with those fajitas. I believe you don’t eat much gluten so probably not, right?

In my house we toss them with olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper and grill them in tin foil, super easy and really good!

I hate when people give other people the stink eye for bringing babies to dinner. The babies are people and the can’t stay home all the time.
Sunday’s are for hanging at home with my family and friends

Sundays are for sleeping in, taking time to make and enjoy a delicious brunch, yoga, and reading great books! So glad that you’re able to zumba again – I took a few zumba classes recently, partially because my mom loves zumba, and partially because you make it sound like so much fun, and even though I have NO rhythm, I loved them! It’s so cute that Liv has a little friend, and I love the family picture of you, Tom, and Liv – definitely one for the photo album 🙂

I had lunch with my friend and her beautiful one month old baby yesterday! So cute and well behaved in the restaurant. She did cry out a little when she got hungry and my friend commented, thank goodness it’s a loud restaurant!

This morning I was thinking that Sundays would be for doing EVERYTHING…bfast with parents, buy new sneakers, grocery shopping, gym, walgreens, dinner at boyfriends parents, laundry. After breakfast with the parents, due to a minor “oh my god i’m going crazy!!” moment and the help of a muchos supportive boyfriend i’ve decided that sundays are for taking it easy and meal/workout planning for the WEEK. 🙂 Planning for seven days will be a lot less stressful than fitting seven days into one!

And I love that you’re back Zumba’ing…if for nothing else, so I can admire your cute Zumba clothes!

Sundays are for family time! Too many of us (myself included) spend the whole day doing laundry or grocery shopping. Relaxing and recharging are more important!

  25. Holly on February 19, 2012 at 4:34 pm

I just got a new job and we have free membership to a gym with free classes – and I tried Zumba for the first time. It was SUCH. A. BLAST. I was totally afraid of it. I’m a ‘workout’ person – run, bike, etc. I don’t feel like dancing is a workout. But it WAS and it was so much fun!!!!!!! And I kept thinking about you the whole time – not in weird creepo type way, but because you are the first blogger (and practically only blogger I follow) who does Zumba. Needless to say, I majorly lack the cool dance flow – I LOOK like I’m exercising, not dancing at all – hopefully my ‘style’ will become a bit more Zumba-ish as I practice! I’m going to do it twice a week. Thanks again for blogging and congrats on Olivia – she is adorable!!

ah so cute!! sundays are for getting s*&! done at my own pace! during the work week i have to always be go-go-go so i enjoy weekends for being productive but being able to go at my own pace! cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, cooking, etc. 🙂

You seem so passionate about Zumba but dancing just isn’t my thing. I’d love to try it but I’m also scared.

  33. KerriAnn on February 20, 2012 at 8:22 am

Sunday’s are for long runs, meal planning, food shopping, meal preparation, cleaning, laundry & organization. I probably would be a mess if my Sunday’s were so scheduled! Makes the other 6 days of the week super easy!
