Belly up

Even though sleeping and walking have become daunting tasks in the past week, I’m trying to savor it as much as I possibly can. I’m going to miss the belly- especially the closeness I’ve felt to the baby for the past almost-10 months. Even when I’m missing the kicks and body rolls, it will be fun to look back at how the belly grew along with her, and how very blessed I am to have had this experience <3

Ohhhh my goodness. WHEN IS THE BABY POPPING OUT. I must know.

p.s. When I saw your belly in August, I thought you couldn’t get any bigger. Apparently you can.

    • Fitnessista on January 4, 2012 at 4:08 pm

right? that’s what i thought, too!

  2. Katie on January 4, 2012 at 4:08 pm

You still look so fantastic! But I know how uncomfortable those last few weeks are…hang in there! You WILL miss it for sure!

You still look so fantastic! But I know how uncomfortable those last few weeks are…hang in there! You WILL miss it for sure…or at least I do. 🙂

You’re so cute!!! Pregnancy looks good on you mrs.!!

I won’t lie though, I’m excited for the little girl to get here so I can see more family posts!

  5. Kristen on January 4, 2012 at 4:10 pm

    LOVE IT!!

I too am pregnant and I think it’s so funny that I used to think I would HATE my pregnant belly but it doesn’t bother me at all. I embrace it and feel like I might actually miss it.

Sending lots of good thoughts and prayers for you to have a healthy labor, delivery, and sweet baby!!

  6. Bonnie on January 4, 2012 at 4:13 pm

Just beautiful! Random question that probably get all the time: which Lulu shorts and pants are you wearing? They look so comfy!

    • Shaina on January 5, 2012 at 12:20 am

      Groove pants are THE best.

  7. Tangy on January 4, 2012 at 4:15 pm

Enjoy the last few days before your life changes! I was so anxious to have my first baby and I wish I would have just enjoyed those last few days of spontaneity!

  8. Michaela on January 4, 2012 at 4:15 pm

isn´t it amazing what a female body is able to?!
I cannot wait for you two to finally meet your baby girl 🙂

  9. Mandy on January 4, 2012 at 4:20 pm

    I’m betting it’s an 8-9 pounder!

    • Fitnessista on January 4, 2012 at 4:22 pm

she might be… my belly is HUGE

    • Vicki on January 4, 2012 at 4:51 pm

That’s what I was thinking. I had an 8.5 pounder the first time and my belly looked a lot like yours. Of course, the rest of me wasn’t anywhere near as tiny as the rest of you! 😉

      • Jen on January 4, 2012 at 7:08 pm

That what I was thinking, my cousin ate a lot of eggs and her daughter was almost 9 lbs and the nurses said it was all that good egg protein!

        • Fitnessista on January 4, 2012 at 8:37 pm

i’ve eaten lots, and lots of eggs

          • Madeline@FoodFitnessandFamily on January 4, 2012 at 10:51 pm

Bellies can be deceiving though! Mine didn’t get that big but my daughter was 8lb 14oz. Haha. The MW thought shed be 7. Go figure. 😉

            You look amazing!

          • Laury on January 5, 2012 at 1:19 pm

I ate TONS of eggs and my belly was EXACTLY like like yours, same pointy shape and all. [I just compared on my watch me grow lol ] and Weezy was 7 pounds 6 ounces 😉

I LOVE this slideshow! Pregnancy is the most beautiful thing ever! Love watching you grow!!!

Happy due date tomorrow!! I think you will go on Sunday!

I am anxiously waiting for the post of when she’s in your arms!! Don’t you just love lulu for being preggers? When I worked there with one lady who was pregnant (this tiny little thing she was), she would just take her fleece sweater and zip it up over her full-term belly. Cannot wait to do the same thing haha

  12. RachelG on January 4, 2012 at 4:25 pm

love love love! you should be so proud that literally the only part of you that has looked pregnant has been the belly. 🙂

  13. Katrina on January 4, 2012 at 4:35 pm

What a fun montage to look back over your pregnancy! You look fabulous – we should all be so lucky to look that great pregnant!

    • Fitnessista on January 4, 2012 at 8:41 pm

      <3

  14. Jennie on January 4, 2012 at 4:46 pm

You look so great! It looks like you have a basketball under your shirt on the last picture, you are so fit everywhere else. You are truly an inspiration to me at 22 weeks pregnant to keep up with my workouts and healthy eating! Hope the little lady makes her appearance soon!

  15. Ali on January 4, 2012 at 4:50 pm

Wow ! SO crazy to see how the little one has grown!! I love how you still looks to tiny and fit. It looks like they just stuck a pregnancy belly on you! I love that you are promoting such a healthy pregnancy. Way to go girl.

  16. Averie @ Love Veggies and Yoga on January 4, 2012 at 4:53 pm

What a great progression. You will be so happy years to come that you have this all documented. I did take some belly pics at home but I wasn’t blogging so they’re not online, they’re not printed out, they’re on some old memory stick I probably don’t even have the card reader for. This is awesome for you for the memories.

    And you look wonderful!

  17. Janel on January 4, 2012 at 4:53 pm

You look fantastic! So close! 🙂

  18. Ilana on January 4, 2012 at 4:53 pm

I am amazed by both the female body and the ability of lululemon waistbands to stretch. Holy.
You look phenomenal and I’ve loved reading about your pregnancy! For a omg-baby-fearing-i’m-too-young girl like me, it’s really lovely to read someone who’s honest about her beautiiful crazy experience.

  19. Taran on January 4, 2012 at 4:54 pm

I’m really hoping my prediction of 1-4-12 holds out!!!!

    PS – You look great!!

  20. Haley @ Fit, Young, and Fabulous on January 4, 2012 at 4:57 pm

You are about to pop!!! No longer a bun in the oven, but more of a bundt cake in the oven!! Prayers to you and the baby!!! Can’t wait to hear about it!

  21. LeeAnn on January 4, 2012 at 4:57 pm

    You look amazing!!!!

  22. Lauren on January 4, 2012 at 5:02 pm

You truly look like you’re smuggling basketballs! You might miss your belly a little but you’ll be so focused on the babe the feeling will pass quickly. Plus, you still have a belly for the first 5-10 days post birth so it’ll ease you into the sudden decrease in size. And then you’ll be super excited to easily see and reach your feet again 😉

    • Fitnessista on January 4, 2012 at 8:40 pm

haha i can imagine so 😉

  23. ash on January 4, 2012 at 5:04 pm

love it!!!! sending good thoughts and vibes your way for a wonderful delivery experience!

  24. Jackie on January 4, 2012 at 5:09 pm

You look great Gina!! I have also been wearing my lululemon during my pregnancy. I wanted to tell you that I had a dream that YOU went into labor last night! I read your last post right before bed and I guess you were on my mind. Good Luck

    • Fitnessista on January 4, 2012 at 8:40 pm

      whoo hoo! maybe an omen?

  25. Jamima on January 4, 2012 at 5:15 pm

Ok, you are one of the cutest prego ladies I have seen. You look great! Hope your last weeks/days go well. Enjoy!

  26. meredith on January 4, 2012 at 5:25 pm

you look amazing. i can only imagine how it feels to watch your body change (wonderful and scary) but you look simply beautiful! i can only hope to be the same as i progress. 🙂

  27. Cynthia on January 4, 2012 at 5:26 pm

Yes, savor every last minute of it.

I keep telling mine to “get back in ma belly,” but she’s too busy running around in circles most of the time.

    Many blessings on your journey!

    • Fitnessista on January 4, 2012 at 8:39 pm

      haha, i love that!

  28. LJB on January 4, 2012 at 5:29 pm

Have that baby already will ya!?!!? I’m just dying to meet her!!! I couldn’t imagine how you must feel 🙂 You look so great! So happy for you and the Pilot!!!!!!

    • Fitnessista on January 4, 2012 at 8:40 pm

right?! i’m going cray over here

  29. Lyndi on January 4, 2012 at 5:36 pm

Awww you look just fantastic! I can’t wait to sport a belly like yours even if that means I won’t be able to shave, see my toes or hardly bend over. 😉

  30. Brittany on January 4, 2012 at 5:39 pm

You have such a great attitude! Enjoy it to the fullest! When I was pregnant I was far to worried about gaining, getting stretchmarks, etc. What a waste. Now my baby boy is a year old and the one thing I regret is not enjoying my pregnancy more. Goes way to fast! Good luck with everything 🙂

  31. Brittany @Little b's healthy habits on January 4, 2012 at 5:58 pm

I can’t wait for the “she’s here” post!!

    • Jill on January 4, 2012 at 6:58 pm

I keep thinking the next post is going to be “the one!”

  32. chrissy on January 4, 2012 at 6:00 pm

wow, lululemon streeeeches!! at least it probably saved you some $$ in the maternity fashion dept:)

    • Lara on January 4, 2012 at 6:10 pm

I was going to ask about that! Did you even have to buy maternity clothes? It seems like Lulu suited your pregnancy perfectly!

      • Fitnessista on January 4, 2012 at 8:39 pm

i had to finally get jeans *real* shirts around the 7 month mark (before that wore regular with a belly band) but my lulu lasted pretty much the whole way through!

    • Fitnessista on January 4, 2012 at 8:39 pm

yes, especially for work! it would have killed me to buy a new athletic clothes wardrobe

  33. Lara on January 4, 2012 at 6:09 pm

  34. Allison on January 4, 2012 at 6:11 pm

  35. Amy on January 4, 2012 at 6:36 pm

You look so fantastic, start to finish! You must be so proud for being a super healthy Mama taking care of that little baby inside of you! Best of luck in the next couple of days as Im sure you’re going to have her at any moment. It’s such a magical time!

  36. Tonya on January 4, 2012 at 6:49 pm

My favorite thing about you and your family posts is that you savor every minute and appreciate the blessing you’ve been blessed with. I like how you always mention how you have appreciated the process instead of merely listing the gripes that go along with being full term. I can’t wait to see your beautiful baby girl once she makes her appearance! Best of luck throughout delivery when she decides she’s ready!

  37. Jessica on January 4, 2012 at 7:19 pm

Just when you think it can’t get any bigger, it does! TWSS!

    • Fitnessista on January 4, 2012 at 8:36 pm

  40. kara on January 4, 2012 at 9:37 pm

lovely, gina!! can’t believe you’re so close to the end. i feel like your pregnancy went by SO fast. do you feel that way too? or are you at the point where you feel like you’re gonna be pregnant forever? can’t wait to hear you’re in labor! are you gonna wait to announce it anywhere or will you let people know when you head to the hospital?

    • Fitnessista on January 4, 2012 at 10:08 pm

i feel like it went by so fast up until last week. now it’s dragging!
i’ll definitely put a post up when we head to the hospital

  43. Ashley @ For Two Fitness on January 4, 2012 at 10:39 pm

Love this belly gallery, Gina! Have you taken any belly videos? That was my favorite – I used the Flip camcorder, but any cell phone would probably do. It was amazing to watch the baby flip and kick and make waves across my belly. Try it while you still can! 🙂

  44. Maria on January 4, 2012 at 10:57 pm

The end is near! I’m so excited for you and I can’t wait to continue reading what happens AFTER pregnancy! That’s if you’ll still be doing family posts. I just hope that I look that great throughout my pregnancy!! You are seriously glowing in every picture. Beautiful!

    • Fitnessista on January 4, 2012 at 11:26 pm

yep, i’ll definitely still do the family posts.
      thank you <3

  46. Amber on January 5, 2012 at 8:57 am

Gina…every morning I log on expecting to see a post “she’s finally here!” You have to be psyched and oh so ready.

  48. Samantha on January 5, 2012 at 11:15 am

    • Fitnessista on January 5, 2012 at 11:44 am

i loved comparing my belly to other women who were just as far along as i was- it’s amazing how everyone carries differently

  49. Yvonne on November 2, 2012 at 3:28 pm

The belly slide show is now gone 🙁 I’m 29 weeks and trying to do my own! 🙂
