Bird creeper

It definitely is a little funny to crack the blinds open, shove my camera lens in between the slats and snap multiple pictures.

Baby bird

I have to get pics of the baby birds in the condo the Pilot built!

Bird creeper…

Birds

Aren’t they so cute?!

The Pilot is also brainstorming some kind of blanket net for them to land on in case a bird falls out…

I’m back to work for the week and spent some time last night getting my stuff ready. I always like to freshen up my playlists, brainstorm new moves and choreography, and no matter what, end up having a Tuesday night laundry freak-out. I did 3 loads last night when I realized I had no clean socks or Zumba pants. It’s easy to happen when you teach/assist about 6 classes each day. Lots and lots of laundry!

Zumba gear

Today’s playlist refresher:

LOVE this song right now 🙂

While I put dinner together last night, I also took a couple of minutes to pack snacks for this morning.

A salad beast with chard, tomatoes, olives, turkey and leftover tempeh taco meat:

 Salad beast

Larabar

Egg burrito

and a morning egg burrito. I’ll come home for lunch, to grab my pool outfit and afternoon snacks.

I’m out!

Hope that your morning is going well and I’ll see ya later with a hair how-to on the Fashion page.

xoxo

Gina

Love your Zumba gear! And how cute is your Pilot with that net… lol

I love anything Pitbull does, I even enjoy his Dr. Pepper commercials.

Is that a brown rice tortilla you’re using? If so, how do you heat it up before you wrap it? I find that mine are always cracking, but perhaps I’m just wanting it to be flour.

    Have a great one!

Sounds like such a fun day planned! I’m a fitness instructor too (just part time though) and have the occasional laundry freak-out. I’m supposed to wear blue and black for one of the programs I teach (Les Mills RPM), and even though I have a bazillion blue tops, it never fails to amaze me how few are clean on days that I have a class! Have fun this morning!

I LOVE those Zumba shoes. LOVE. you should be a zumba spokesmodel, or you could just pretend to be, wear the clothes and hang out looking “model-y” in the store and tell people about them.

It would be funny to see what the store clerks would do.

Love all the hot pink – you should design your own Fitnessista Zumba-wear! 🙂

We have a morning dove and babies right outside our front door! When we walk out the door every morning my lil one always says “Good Morning momma birdy!” he was soo excited to see the baby birds.

A net of some sort is a great idea. They would probably appreciate it. 🙂

Not long ago, my Lhasa Apso was prancing around the yard in a very proud fashion. I kept hearing something high pitched. I looked and she had a baby bird! Eek!! After chasing her around, she released it. I checked on it and then it hopped off. I felt pretty confident that it was going to be fine. Just got off to a rough start!

Hope you have a great day!

That taco salad looks fabulous – I need to hit up yesterday’s post and get that recipe instantly! Thank you to you and the Pilot for looking after those baby birds – too many people don’t take enough care of wildlife!

I found a trapped baby bird in our condo building’s garage on Christmas Eve last year. Hoo boy trying to find a wildlife rescue op that had someone answering the phones that day was tough. We were going to have to drive it to the nearest depot 45 minutes away, but thankfully someone called me back, went through a check to see if the bird was okay and, when it was, we were able to release him just fine. I was so happy!

Enjoy work today! I don’t know how you keep up with all that laundry, I don’t teach and I can barely keep up.

    Cute birdie pics 🙂

And laundry…a never ending cycle, isn’t it!

Happy Wednesday Girl! P.s, did you get my Chalean Extreme post?

I smiled when I saw your lunch. Mine looks very similar today. Same long, narrow container with mixed greens, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, cauliflower, bella mushrooms, quinoa and almond slivers. And a green Larabar…only mine is the Apple Pie flavor. And instead of an apple I have a bunch of red grapes. Yum! (I think you’re rubbing off on me!)

I forgot to mention avocado! That’s also in my salad beast! 🙂 Can’t believe I forgot the best part! 🙂

How cute that he wants to make a bird blanket. Adorable!
I used to live off of an egg burrito for breakfast every day. Then I fell out of my phase. I think it is time to give up the Cho from time to time and slip a burrito in 🙂

  19. Sana on May 30, 2012 at 2:04 pm

I always try to make sure I have cute clothes for when I teach, but I won’t lie sometimes I am running out the door in something I wore a few days ago! So much laundry!

  20. Jenn on May 30, 2012 at 3:47 pm

Everytime I see a picture of your egg-rito (or any -rito you make) your brown rice tortilla always looks so NICE. How do you keep them from breaking into tiny pieces?! I’m so impressed. I even heat them like it says on the packaging but they always break 🙁 and then I make a mess…everywhere. It’s a sad time for the -rito at my house…Help!

    • Fitnessista on May 30, 2012 at 4:14 pm

what brand do you use? i use food for life, keep it frozen, and heat it for 30 secs

      • Jenn on May 30, 2012 at 4:53 pm

I’ll have to try it…I usually use TJ’s brand

I love little birdies! We just had one get stuck between our screened in sliding door and the glass sliding door. We happened to look over at the kitty who was on the inside of the glass (the bird was on the outside) and she was licking her lips and rubbing her paws on the glass (which made a squeeking sound). I freaked out, grabbed her, ran to the bedroom and shut the door, then begged my boyfriend to save it. Thankfully, the bird was saved and flew back home. 🙂 Too bad for the kitty. If she could have, she would have had that bird for dinner!

  22. Sarah on May 30, 2012 at 7:33 pm

What brand/ kind of brown rice tortillas do you use? They look delicious and sturdy!

    • Fitnessista on May 30, 2012 at 10:35 pm
