Butterfinger banana smoothie

Hi friends! How was your day? Hope it’s been lovely <3

I guess college football started today?

This is what I came home to on my lunch break:

football

A game on the TV, a game on the laptop, and stats on the iPhone.

Someone is happy to not be deployed during football this year 😉 [And the reason why he had no motivation to write a family post for me, heh heh]

Since he was a little preoccupied, I spent quality snuggle time with Bella.

Work was pretty amazing today –I love teaching Zumba so much- and when I came home, I made the most foodgasmic smoothie in a while.

I was a little scared to try this protein powder, but it’s been sitting in the snack bowl for over a month.

The beard just freaks me out a little.

But this smoothie…

smoothie (2)

Um, wow.

Buckle your seatbelt for this one, friends 😀

We ran a few errands and now the fam is coming over to help us break in the grill <3

  18. Brittany @ Itty Bits of Balance on September 4, 2011 at 7:16 am

I didn’t even know butterscotch extract existed! I’m pretty sure my life has just been altered… 😉

  19. Averie @ Love Veggies and Yoga on September 4, 2011 at 7:42 am

butterscotch extract = I MUST find that!! I have rum extract, butter extract, vanilla, almond, and coffee extracts..but have never had butterscotch extract. You may have just changed my life with that one!

That smoothie looks and sounds so good!

The pic of you being mellow on the couch and chilling with Bella…beautiful!

And football, yes, it tends to take over the days this time of year!

  25. blossjoss on September 4, 2011 at 8:54 am

Jay Robb may look creeper-tastic, but he knows his protein.

I didn’t know butterscotch extract existed! Sounds like a must-try.

  26. janiek on September 4, 2011 at 9:08 am

Oh how i wish they would sell proteinpowder with flavours here in the netherlands… they only have the plain kind here as far as i know… are there calories in protein powder?

  27. Jamie on September 4, 2011 at 9:15 am

Did you have any reactions to the protein powder? I used to use it and it gave me HORRIBLE gas… I realized they use xylitol in the egg white protein powder but not in the whey, which I think it probably what the problem was.

  28. Nicole @ Giraffelegs on September 4, 2011 at 9:59 am

    droolingggggg

  29. Cat @Breakfast to Bed on September 4, 2011 at 11:04 am

  30. Jen @familyfoodfitnessandfun on September 4, 2011 at 11:09 am

Love the chocolate chips on top! I like to add fat-free/sugar-free butterscotch pudding powder to my smoothies….YUM. It makes them really creamy and super tasty…you should try it! I add a TBSP to my smoothies.

  31. Brittany (Eating Bird Food) on September 4, 2011 at 11:23 am

That smoothie looks delish. Now I just have to find some butterscotch extract.

I hope you all had a blast grilling!

The boyfriend and attended a wedding yesterday and mysteriously, during the cocktail hour, a large group of the men were all M.I.A. for a bit to watch the game at the hotel bar next door. Silly boys!

  33. The Teenage Taste on September 4, 2011 at 11:36 am

Ooooh la la! That smoothie looks fabulous! I have a weakness for anything Butterfinger-flavored! 😀

  34. Laura J. on September 4, 2011 at 12:31 pm

Haha that picture of the pilot looks exactly like my husband during football season! Game on the t.v. and laptop and checking stats and making trades for his fantasy teams (which he takes very seriously, ha) on his phone. Gotta love ’em 😉

  35. Allison on September 4, 2011 at 3:33 pm

I love Jay Robb protein powder, but I have only tried the whey. It is my favorite!

  36. Molly L on September 4, 2011 at 8:04 pm
