Confessions

1. I haven’t been posting my 5th meal of the day lately, because they’ve all been weird.

dont ask

(don’t ask)

2. 99.9% of my clothes are in the POD, and somehow this still managed to happen:

What was I supposed to wear in the meantime, right?

lulu

3. I’ve gone through two boxes of Tulsi Sweet Rose tea in the past two weeks. Amazon has another pack on the way 🙂

4. Bella is getting a haircut today. Everytime I take her to the groomer, I get SO nervous. I just love her so much.

The family also has a fit when Bella gets a haircut- everyone likes her hair fluffy and sassy better, but she’s looking a little homeless.

5. I’ve been reading Paris Wife on the Kindle for over a month.

book

Usually I finish a book within a few days, a week max, but this one is sucking out my soul. I have to finish it because I read pretty much every book Jenna recommends, and she’s always right on with the reading tips 🙂

Your turn – I’d love to hear something random 🙂

See ya later today <3

Ok I loved your Breakfast Rellenos so much that I’ve planted my own poblano & Anaheim peppers. Do you know which other peppers are as good & not as hot as the habanero?

random fact: i love magazines so much that i “save” them, and i have like 3 glamour mags on my nightstand because i cannot bear having to wait a whole month till the next one comes!

    • kate on May 12, 2011 at 4:12 pm

I do this too! I cant part with my yoga journal and cooking light.

  3. Jessica @Fruit and Veggie Tales on May 12, 2011 at 2:21 pm

    Random confessions….I have 3 things today! 🙂
    1. I totally devoured the entire pint of pomegranate chip coconut milk ice cream while watching Harry Potter 7 with my husband last night!!! (I have no regrets! It was delicious!)
    2. People think we’re weird for using cloth diapers but I loooove them and I think I might be addicted, they’re so cute!
    3. I didn’t even know what a blog was until last spring! (P.S. I have no idea how to officially ‘follow’ your blog so I am pretty sure I am still considered a lurker! ;-/ )
    Have a great day!

  4. Suzanne on May 12, 2011 at 2:35 pm

I routinely lick my plates clean when no one is around.

  5. Katie on May 12, 2011 at 2:51 pm

    1. I always read magazines in reverse (back cover to front).
    2. I can wake up early or late and regarless be five minutes late to work.
    3. I live smack in the middle of tornado alley, but lacking for space at our little casa, we routinely have a company truck parked over our cellar door. Hmmm.
    4. I’m also frightened of sending my pups off to the groomers – I swear they come home and hold a grudge for at least a full day.

    • Lunges and Lunch on May 12, 2011 at 4:42 pm

I read magazines in the reverse order too! I also often read the last sentence of a book before I start. I like to see how you get to that sentence.

    • Shannon on May 13, 2011 at 9:39 am

I totally read magazines in reverse! I thought I was the only one!!

    • CampingGirl on May 14, 2011 at 6:34 am

      I read magazines backwards too!

Something random…I used to hate stevia but now cant imagine life without it.

Tulsi Sweet Rose tea….thanks for the tip. Sounds delish!

Jenna’s book recommendations are amazing! I always love them so much! I saw she linked you as her fashion go-to yesterday, too. I love seeing the bloggie love 🙂

  7. Lauren on May 12, 2011 at 4:46 pm

I get nervous when My pup goes to the groomer too!!! Unfortunatly she had a bad experience last time so I will try it myself next time!!!

My very random act of the day: I went to the farmers market on the way to school and bought several plants, I didn’t want the plants to get too hot in my car and wilt, so I brought an eggplant plant and lettuce plant into class and sat them under my desk. Can you say hippie?

    • Chantal on May 12, 2011 at 10:12 pm

hahaha, awesome. That so sounds like something I would do. I just started my PhD and I recognize a friend right away when we were the two people who brought mason jars with breakfast in it (usually a weirdly coloured green smoothie for me) to eat during our 8:30am class. Gotta love hippies!

  9. Suzanne on May 12, 2011 at 5:57 pm

My random news: I just found out today that my dog, Chubby, has cancer. My poor little angel.

    • Fitnessista on May 13, 2011 at 1:04 am

:(((((((((((( sending healing vibes to chubby.

      • Suzanne on May 13, 2011 at 8:29 am

Thanks, Gina. Yesterday was a hard day.

  10. caronae on May 12, 2011 at 6:06 pm

Confession: I have not left my room yet today (besides going to the bathroom of course and to the kitchen for a larabar). I think I have taken like three naps today. I reallllllllyyyyyy need to get out of the house, but am so tired. In my defense, I just took my last college final ever on Tuesday and I have been really overcome with exhaustion since then, both physically and mentally. I am normally go-go-go and do a million things in a day, but the last two days I have just not cared. Weird.

  11. Char on May 12, 2011 at 6:20 pm

Something random…I’m probably the one and only to say that I’m actually not that fond of almond butter. I’m a PB girl ALL the way! I would die to have a closet like yours…mine is so old and blah. Might sell my soul to obtain new clothes soon lol

  12. Daniella @ Runner at Heart on May 12, 2011 at 6:21 pm

I love to dip French fries into a frosty from Wendy’s

    • Fitnessista on May 13, 2011 at 1:03 am

omg. i haven’t done that in YEARS, but love it so much

  13. Alicia @ This Organic Body on May 12, 2011 at 6:27 pm

Confession: I have been reading Love for No Reason for 6 months and am only 74% finished according to kindle. I read Happy for No Reason it 2 days… then re-read it and took notes…. hmmm.

  14. Jackie @ MomJovi on May 12, 2011 at 6:47 pm

I was going to get Paris Wife next on my Kindle but maybe I’ll pass for now. That’s how i was with Cutting for Stone but once I finally committed to it and started reading it, I ended up LOVING it. Maybe Paris Wife will be the same for you.

Random confession time: I sometimes make my 3yo extra chicken nuggets or ravioli just so I can have one! Did it tonight w/ her broccoli and cheese raviolis. Why does stolen-plate food taste so much better?

  15. Jennifer on May 12, 2011 at 7:53 pm

Gina, this isn’t really random in the sense you’re asking for but it’s random since I don’t think you’ve mentioned it here in a good while and I have to share.

I’ve been fascinated with/wanting try Horchata (sp) ever since that day you did a post about the pilot loving it so much. I live in South East Texas with a very large Hispanic population. Ever since I was a child my fam’s favorite restaurant has always been this little hole in the wall very authentic TX-Mex place we go to at least once a week and I’d never seen or heard of that drink.

Today I went in to Houston and stopped at Whole Foods. In the cold iced bin thing where they keep the ‘Aqua of the Day’ they had a small section of something creamy white. I picked one up thinking it was some kind of coconut drink and to my surprise it was Horchata – which of course I had to buy. Oh my gosh it was so beyond delicious. I didn’t try it until I got to the car and I went right back in and bought the rest of them for the fam/friends to try. We all agreed they could be seriously addicting . 🙂

    • Fitnessista on May 13, 2011 at 1:03 am

so glad you loved it! aaaand now i want some 🙂

  16. christina on May 12, 2011 at 8:05 pm

confession – Im becoming addicted to chicks flicks! I -” the die hard alternative genre unless it’s in a foreign language I dont want to see it”- movie type (what a snob yeah?!) organised a night out with the girls to see “Something borrowed”!

  17. Laura @ Sprint 2 the Table on May 12, 2011 at 8:12 pm

I have to confess… the second meal you posted looks like turns on lettuce. LOL! I’m sure it was delish though… 😉

  18. Elizabeth on May 12, 2011 at 8:21 pm

I’m pretty sure I’ve talked to my husband less (he’s on AT) since he’s been gone this time, than when he was in AFG. And that makes me mad!

  19. Kristin on May 12, 2011 at 8:42 pm

I have a love of pirates (really any man holding a sword and slicing his opponent), I blame this on The Princess Bride and my father reading me The Hobbit as a child.

  20. Lea on May 12, 2011 at 9:13 pm

Ugh, I just got done reading the paris wife, have no idea what all the fuss is about. There were some interesting depictions of paris and spain, but the character of the wife was so spineless I felt like yelling at her to grow a pair, and she writes hemingway as a complete douche. Pardon my language.

    • Fitnessista on May 12, 2011 at 9:34 pm

thank you for reading my mind and putting it more eloquently than i would have 😉

  21. andrenna on May 13, 2011 at 1:53 am

YAY FOR TULSI SWEET ROSE TEA!!!! @—-X—– (that’s a rose. duh.)

  22. CampingGirl on May 14, 2011 at 6:35 am

My dog has a sinus cold and is snotting all over the place.
I am going to a country bar tonight ( I don’t like country music) and I have no idea what to wear.

  23. Joy on May 15, 2011 at 7:52 am

My random confession is I am 5 months behind on my photo album and am only doing it today because I am going to see someone who will ask for it.

But about the groomer I am so neurotic about my dog that when his groomer left the studio I met her at I hunted her down on facebook to see where she had gone (now she gave me her cell # so dobby will never have to go anywhere else)
