Something to talk about:  Do you have any vacays coming up this summer?? Tell me about your future travels! Or are you planning a stay-cation? (Relaxing at home can be just as baller, or even more relaxing than going out of town). I’ll be off to Vegas next week and then the Bahamas in May (CAN’T WAIT!) 😀

I’m going to Panama (!!!) the first week of June! I just went to Austin, Texas for a week in March and did Vegas/Sedona, Arizona in February. It makes me feel very spoiled! After that, I’ll probably just do local trips for the rest of 2010.

Ahh Insanity! the fiance and bro want to try that so badly. (oh and yes, I do too) I’m thinking of springing it for them. 🙂

I’m traveling for work this week (it’s kind of a mini vacation because I am in sunny California). I searched for “healthy restaurants” and found 118 degrees. I recall you speaking of this restaurant and I am happy to report that it was AMAZING! Thank you so much!!

I have a summer house in the south of portugal and every year we go there for a few weeks to relax. It’s awesome and I honestly cannot wait. 🙂

    Hi Gina,
in march we went to Mauritius. Heaven on earth is the only thing I can say to that 😀 It was beautiful there!!
In September, for our honeymoon, we don’t know for certain if we visit the United States (I’m from Europe) or if we go to the Seychelles, Bora Bora, Bali….we’re not sure yet. I would love to visit the US sometime 🙂 I hope it works out this year!!! I want some Victoria’s Secret pieces 😉 among other things….

My hubs and I have been doing the Insanity workouts for a month now and let me tell you…they are freakin’ hard. We both played sports our whole lives and are in pretty good shape but these workouts kick.my.booty! In a really great way though! Everytime I finish one I have the most amazing feeling of accomplishment.

We have both leaned up a ton and I finally have some abs coming in! I can’t recommend Insanity enough! Next time you are in Orlando we can have an Insanity workout party lol 🙂

I won’t be taking a real vacation this year (I rarely do) due to being in the middle of a big project at work. Cute dog! What kind of plant is that? I would love to get one.

Insanity is the real deal. My legs have never been in better shape. Are you a Beachbody Coach? I don’t see anywhere on your site saying you are. Go to http://www.BeachbodyCoach.com/wrkoutjorney and click on Coach to learn more.

A breakfast cookie huh? I’ve never had one of those. Might have to try it.

    • Fitnessista on April 12, 2010 at 9:33 am

no, i’m not a beachbody coach. it sounds like something i would like though 🙂
the fit test was AWESOME- i’m excited to start the workouts tomorrow

I actually just got back from a vacation in Colorado a couple of weeks ago. We snowshoed and rode horses in the Rocky Mountain National Park, and skiied at a mountain about an hour away from where we were staying. It was so fun!
My next vacation will probably be me spending a long weekend in Maine for my birthday in Aug. 🙂

We just got back from St.Augustine & Jacksonville. We’re trying to decide which Florida coast to rent a house on for a week in June. Then in August we’re visiting family in the SanFran bay areA.

I’m heading to Philly this coming weekend with my fiancee to visit some friends for the weekend. And then I’m traveling to Orlando with my mom the following week to spend a whole week down in the Sunshine State!!! Very excited that my BFF (who lives in Florida) and her 10 year old daughter will be joining us for the whole week!!! I was getting so excited for my trip while reading about your fabulous time.

I switched over my training last December to ‘Insanity type workouts’ As a pt trainer and group x instructor I was in the mentality more is better. OH MY GOODNESS. I am now in the best shape of my life and working out less! 1 hour per day (including warm up and cooldown) with 2 days off (the weekends) I have always been fairly lean, but at 40 years old I am in better shape than when I was in my twenties. I lost 3 lbs. since last december (stats are 5′ 3″ 108 lbs.) I used to run because I thought I ‘had to’ I hate running! lol
If only I had done this years ago. I praise the Lord my joints are healhty and I have no overtraining issues as I have been active my entire life and teaching fitness classes for 20 years.
Anyways, sorry to babble this tabata style training rocks!
Ps. I just mastered the pistol squat which is soooo hard, but i credit it to not only practice, but my change in training..

GINA!! I’ll be in Vegas for vacation next week too! We have to meet up for a run or vino or smoothie! I sent you an email.

Bella is so freaking cute I just want to hug her and squeeze her!!

I just started a new job in January and unfortunately they have a ridiculously long probation period (6 months) PLUS I don’t get any paid vacation until a year from January. So, no paid vacays for me. BF has a whole week off next month, which is amazing because our schedules are in constant conflict (he works nights), but I can’t take any time off 🙁 It kind of sucks but I’m just looking forward to the long weekends. If one happens to be on a weekend when the BF has some time off, I might plan for a three-day getaway somewhere. I really need some time away from home. Since we both live with our parents (for now), a stay-cation isn’t really a plan. I’ve been so jealous of everyone’s vacations though.

  20. VOcanas on April 15, 2010 at 3:29 pm

I just realized your poodle’s name is Bella (duh)! My parent have a Maltipoo named Bella who is spoiled rotten, and has a really hard time behaving herself. She is a little terror who knows she’s the little princess of their castle. Lol. Love the necklace.

    • Fitnessista on April 15, 2010 at 3:42 pm

hahah so funny! my bella is also spoiled, but she’s very well behaved 🙂
