Easter eve

Our Friday was the perfect mix of productivity

Flowers 1 of 1 3

and fun,

Me and liv

finished off by an amazing family dinner,

Blanco

a date night with the Pilot,

and a visit with this little queen.

Vies

[Viesa!! It was so good to see her furry face.]

When Liv went down for her nap, she surprised me with a super long snooze sesh. I ended up doing everything on my list, including oiling all of our teak furniture,

Teak 1 of 1

and watching a movie (This is 40 was hilarious) waiting for her to wake up.

We had lunch, went to Lowe’s for soil and flowers

Flowers 1 of 1 4

[need to get a couple more pots]

Herbs 1 of 1

and then met up with the Pilot at Blanco later that night.

Here’s what my plate usually looks like:

My plate

(the fish tacos are toooo diiiieeeee for)

and what Liv’s plate usually looks like 😉

Later that night, our sitter came over to chill with sleeping Liv while the Pilot and I went out.

We chilled on University at the Frog & Firkin,

University

and then went to Kyle and Meg’s so the Pilot could see their new place. Viesa was there!! We hung out with everyone for a while (Viesa’s parents Ash and Chris were there too) and called it a night.

Today I’m doing the work thing and am so excited to make Easter treats and dye eggs when I get home.

Hope that whether you’re celebrating Easter, Passover, or a beautiful weekend, that it’s filled with relaxation enjoyment and time with those you love. <3

I saw this is 40 back in the movies and was cracking up the whole time at how realistic it is. All your food looks delicious! I can’t wait for my family’s treats tomorrow including some jelly beans (my favorite).

We saw “This Is 40” at the theater – my husband and I were the only ones in the theater except for a little older lady. I laughed so hard I was crying a couple of times!!
Happy Easter – enjoy all of your time with your family!

Hi Gina! I’m a frequent reader but not sure if I’ve ever commented. This is off topic, but I wanted to tell you that I just got my first Stitch Fix (which I signed up for via inspiration from you)… I’m IN LOVE! Thanks for posting about your experience with it! I had a similar experience as you – everything fit great, ended up sending back a few things that I wasn’t sure if I was really going to wear. Can’t wait to do it again in a few months!

  20. Lucie@SwissFitChick on March 31, 2013 at 1:45 pm

Sounds like a perfect Easter!! The flowers are beautiful. I just came back from a shoppin/sightseeing trip to Berlin/Germany with my Mom – we always travel at Easter, love it!

  21. Anna @ Your Healthy Place on March 31, 2013 at 6:24 pm

Looks like a happy day! I’m in the UK visiting family today and so we had the traditional Easter Sunday get together, complete with chocolate Easter eggs (the giant hollow ones that Cadbury’s make – a tradition in the UK!). It’s been a great trip. It’s been unseasonably cold here though so your outfit has me craving warmer weather!

  22. Cait on March 31, 2013 at 9:16 pm

love your pants! Where are they from?

I love seeing Viesa pics too, as I have 2 Shibas!!

    • Fitnessista on March 31, 2013 at 11:08 pm

ahhh shibas are such amazing dogs! they’re from hm, last year but they have some right now that are very similar

  23. Ali @ Peaches and Football on April 1, 2013 at 9:35 am

Viesa looks wonderful – very well loved and taken good care of. It’s great you were able to find a wonderful family for her and that you guys get to see her too!

I’ve seen those natural egg dyes in the store. It’s awesome that more and more options are available. I always got a bit nervous eating the dyed eggs because some of the colors sometimes seeped into the egg whites and you never knew what was in the dyes.

  24. Alissa on April 1, 2013 at 9:49 am

What a great Easter Eve! I will have to find that natural Egg dye next year, we didn’t do eggs this year but what a great idea!

  25. Rebecca on April 1, 2013 at 6:56 pm

I love your pictures and I am dying to know where your top is from! (I got some pants that Color and I am still trying to figure out how to make them work)

That puppy looks like mine…we always thought she was a basenji mix but maybe she’s part Shibu. Too cute

    • Fitnessista on April 1, 2013 at 11:12 pm

      thank you! it’s from stitchfix.

  26. Tjasa on April 28, 2013 at 11:08 pm

Hi! I noticed Olivia has those cute silver shoes on. Where did you get them? Also do you have any advice on toddler shoes? I’ve been looking at pediped and Toms. Where do you get hers from?

    Thanks

    • Fitnessista on April 29, 2013 at 12:12 am

those are stride rite, which are now too small, but they are AWESOME. they were the only shoe that she could walk well in during the early walking stages. we had toms and pediped, but they were both too slippery or firm for her to walk well. now she can walk in the toms no prob. i’ll prob get her another stride rite pair for fall because they are amazing! we ordered from amazon

      • Tjasa on May 1, 2013 at 11:12 am

Thank you so much! I looked at stride rites as well. I will probably get some shoes from there.
