Friday Faves

Hi friends! Happy happy Friday. Don’t forget to enter the Zeel Massage and Bitsy’s Brainfood giveaways that are going on!

What are you up this weekend? Any events coming up? I hope you have a beautiful, relaxing, and fun weekend ahead.

It’s an exciting weekend for us because we’re headed to Tucson for two weddings! My friend Annie, whom I’ve known since kindergarten, is tying the knot, and my cousin Cal is also getting married. It’s going to be an eventful week, filled with family, friends, and festivities. I’ll still be blogging regularly, but it will probably be more *life* stuff than beefy workout posts. Hope that’s cool. 😉 Per some requests, I’ll do a What I Ate Wednesday post next week, too.

So now, let’s get the Friday Faves party started! I always love sharing some of the things I’ve been reading, eating, enjoying, or wearing during the week. I enjoy hearing about what’s going on with you and the things you’re enjoying if you’d like to shout them out in the comments section below.

Purple roses blooming in the yard. The color is even brighter than the photos. They’re enormous, and absolutely gorgeous.

Two amazing beach days this week. While it was fun to spend some time with our toes in the sand, and splash in the water,

the best part was hanging out with Michele, Dave and their kiddos. I was so happy we could catch up and spend time with them!

These two have known each other since they were born.

And now, look at them. 🙂

Mitch’s seafood! We will definitely be back. The fish tacos were my favorite, and you can’t beat this view.

P and I had a lunch date with Betsy at Swami’s Cafe. They have gluten-free pancakes on the menu, fresh salads, kombucha on tap, and delightful salads, so they were instantly a friend of mine. I had some doc appointments -my nerve repair hand surgery is next week- so it was a treat in between appointment days.

Swamis chicken

I’ve mentioned it before, but the new Liberty Station Public Market is OUT OF CONTROL. They have so many vendors, and new ones seem to pop up all the time: lobstah rolls, cheese, wine, Mexican food, pastries, fresh seafood, a full-up bar, juices, natural pet supplies, anything you could wish for, really. The Maine Lobster stand had whoopie pies (that look AWESOME) and I was like yep. They officially have everything here.

I tried the “Dragon’s Breath” shot, which had lemon, ginger, tumeric and cayenne. It made my face and ears burn in the best way possible.

Sephora finds. I replenished some of the staples (like the eyeliner, BB cream, eyebrow gel, and lip shine), but also tried out a couple of new things.

Makeup finds

I am obsessed with this palette (the colors are neutral, not too shimmery, and last), and this mascara may be my favorite I’ve tried. For mascara, only a small few work for me. I wear contacts and my eyes are beyond sensitive, so anything will make them neon red and itchy. Tarte products are one of the select few brands that actually work and don’t irritate my eyes.

Peanut butter baked steel cut oatmeal.

This was a beautiful post.

Another heartfelt post from my friend Janae sharing her experience with an eating disorder.

Helpful motherhood tips.

19 things your Spin instructor won’t tell you.

And now, the P smile of the day.

Happy Friday, friends!
Hope you have a great weekend. I’ll see ya Monday morning, and also over on the PBB site

xoxo

Thanks for the recent shout outs to peanut butter runner, I’ve started following her blog as well 🙂

Tarte mascara is my all time fave (the Sephora in Europe doesn’t sell them so I stock up on all things Tarte when I visit home)! I haven’t tried this new one, but the Amazonian Clay mascara is my #1 beauty pick!

Hey Gina! Hope you have a great week in Tuscon! Where did you get the grey dress you’re wearing in the pic with the hat? Thanks!!

Glad I’m not the only one with super sensitive eyes to mascara! I’m always afraid to try new kinds because of that but I may branch out and try that one!

    Have a great weekend! 🙂

    1) I always buy clear mascara and use it on my brows. Thanks for sharing the brow gel! 🙂
    2) I really appreciate you sharing my post. <3
